BFP - Due Jan 2020

Hi ladies,
Excited to say that today I got my BFP and am due 1st January 2020!
This will be my third baby but my partners first. I have two children aged 9 & 7 from a previous relationship.
Anyone else due around New Year? Sticky beans to all! 😀💗💙

@SamT210 first appt goes over everything about you really, your personal details, history, medical. They start completing the maternity book thing that you have all along. Not sure why it would take that long over the phone...

I've not made any calls yet. I might wait until I'm back from holiday and then book in if all is still well. When have you booked your early scan for @Chantalle3? How many weeks will you be? I was thinking to book in around 8 or 9 weeks?

@maybenextmonth I've booked it for what will be 7 weeks exactly according to my LMP but I think I might be ever so slightly over it. I took a CB digi on 3 + 6 and it said it was already 2 to 3 weeks from conception. Who knows though! It will just be an internal scan to show you heartbeat etc.

@Rastawife9 looks like it worked this time! I have had passing nausea but nothing to make me think morning sickness has hit. I'm just yawning from lunchtime onwards. I knew I'd seen it somewhere about bleeding (attached) hopefully it reassures you a bit. Got my fingers crossed for everyone x

Hey all, congrats on your BFP, i am going to tentatively join this forum, i got my official BFP yesterday after a successful round of IVF (ICSI), im 4+1, ive an EP scan in 2 weeks and it can't come quick enough :-)

I'm 4+6 (due 1/1) with a successful ivf (ICSI)
Scan in 9 days, not that I'm counting down....

Congratulations to everyone on the BFPs....I just found out today that I am expecting no.3.....massive shock and lots of tears and a not too happy hubby but we will be ok right?Just more worried about the oul finances but I think we can do it.No symptoms yet,the only reason I tested was I thought my boobs looked much bigger this morning in my bra Smile,I wasn't certain I was late but then worked out dates and realised I was. Positive line came up dark and straight away,2nd test said 2-3wks so all looking good please god.Id an early MC between my 2 children so a little nervous.
I'll be having planned section.anyine know do they do them over christmas/New year if planned?I presume they still have to!

@DaisyMay25 and @Deeny83 amazing news with the IVF, you must be so pleased. Is the early scan due to having IVF? Will this be your first baby? I was definitely tentative to join as well as it's all so early but as we're not telling people it's nice to have ladies here to talk to.

@Herewegoagain19 Wow, what a shock that must have been. I thought boobs were meant to be a giveaway in pregnancy but I've not really noticed anything. Obviously a bit sign for you.
I hear you about being nervous, I had an early MC last time and I'm terrified it'll happen again.
Unsure on the c section. I would assume they still have to? Do you mind me asking why you would have a planned one? Is it due to previous pregnancies?

Does anyone know how you're pregnancy is dated if you know when ovulation was? I OV'd late as I was taking Estrogen and this put everything back by a week. So when docs will have dated me in my 5th week, the CB test came back as 1-2 weeks. Because of OV. I know it's such a small difference but i just wondered?

@Maybenextmonth yea we have to have a viability scan, all clinics are different though I get one at about 6 weeks and then another at 9. Yes first baby

That makes it tricky because they normally date from last period but I think with that in mind they'd have to minus a week? It's only until the 12 week dating scan anyway

Hi all. I'd like to join too! Got my BFP yesterday after having had nothing since a mmc a year ago. I'm feeling excited but very nervous about miscarrying again. I tested 3 days early and got a very strong line on a frer and a positive on a digital so hoping there's a wee fighter in there! Due date calculator says 10 January. Congratulations to all of you on here as well! X

Dates wise for me I'm not definate on a day but I definately know it's 1 of 3 days!EDD is 3rd-5th Jan

Planned section is due to previous ones.
Still in shock this morning as is hubby,I know happiness and excitment will come but at the moment the shock is here unfortunately!! It's funny I always said I'd like another and hubby always said noway and now it's happened I'm numb!It will all be fine though.

Here's to all our little poppyseeds sticking and being healthy x

I think I'm due around 3 January.

I'm worried that's a really crap time to have a birthday, though - the fun of Christmas all over, and everyone all parties out.

Oh well, should have thought about that while dtd a few weeks ago...

Thanks for the info about dating. That calculator is really useful @Herewegoagain19 I'm going to date it from OV as I don't want to freak out when they measure smaller than the docs say they should be.

@Bayleyf agreed about the date. I did consider that but didn't think it would happen yet and didn't want to waste a month trying! I'm Just grateful it's happened.

Wishing the next few weeks hurry along.

Evening all, how is everyone feeling today. My ovulation day was roughly 13th April. And the first day of my last period was around 25th March. What does that technically make me lol date wise. So confusing.

I'm due 2nd Jan and I'm worried about my lack of symptoms.

I know in my first pregnancy ( a boy) I had occasional sickness around when I got my BFP, but it was full all day nausea by 6 weeks.

In my second pregnancy I had no sickness. I had a few cramps and bloating. I felt bad, as in knackered but I have a non sleeping toddler. I thought it was just a different pregnancy and without any bleeding what can you do?! Then I had a sharp pain, then had a big bleed which was the start of a miscarriage at 10 weeks. The EPU scan showed my pregnancy actually stopped at 5 weeks 5 days. So I'm worried this is going to be the same again, I don't feel sick. I have some cramps, some new spots, but nothing else.

So I want to join you all in the hope that this pregnancy will be ok. But I'm worried again. Sorry to be a downer. I flip from being so excited to have a second child especially being 40, to not letting myself get excited as I'm worried. I keep saying to myself if this one works out Blush

I think I will have an early scan, to find out but I don't know when is best to have it?

Hi everyone, I'm due on 8 January going by LMP but this was my positive test at supposedly 9dpo so I don't think that can be right and I think I must have ovulated a few days early.

I feel surprisingly relaxed this time round (I had a MMC at 8+4 in December and a couple of chemicals as well). I'm just trying to have a what will be will be attitude as I'm doing as much as I can to prevent miscarriage.

First scan booked for 18 May when I should be somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks. dumdumdeedum I think they can potentially see a heartbeat/baby at 6 weeks so you could book it for then? Although I think it's not uncommon for them not to see anything and that would add unnecessary stress.

Hi ladies, I've come over from the other Jan EDD thread.

I got my BFP on Sunday and am due 6 Jan based on OV (I OV'd late).
Second pregnancy but lost the first around 9 weeks so am obviously a little nervous.

Feeling a few small symptoms but nothing major.
Tired and get out of breath easy
Very thirsty and dry mouth
Sore nipples
But last night I woke in the night with quite bad pain in my diaphragm, maybe indigestion? But it was 2am. The pain was quite uncomfortable and spread across the top/middle of my back as well, and kept me awake for a bit. Anyone had anything like this? Not sure if it's just me rather than pregnancy related.

@Kinsters I think I'll book a scan for 7 weeks then, as I think I prob Ov quite early so I should be 7 and a bit but then. It's a nervous wait. I keep thinking do I feel sick? But nope nothing. I know some people don't have sickness, is just I had it so strongly with my son.

Best of luck to you too, Sorry about your MMC.I just don't think I can go through another miscarriage randomly happening. If it has to happen I'd rather find out at a scan then have a D&C.

It's such a nerve wracking time isn't it? I'm trying to accept as much as possible that what will be will be and that there's nothing I can do to change it. Easier said than done though.

I agree that I think it's better to find out at a scan. To just suddenly start bleeding would be awful.

@Rastawife9 based on 1st day of your last period (28 day cycle) EDD is 29th Dec but based on your OV date 3rd January,once you get for scan they will go by the measurements. Though on my 1st my early scan put my 2 wks later h an I thought but come my 12ish wk scan I was put at 15wk!!!

I've booked early scan for 8 1/2wks ,some companies say 7-12wks,some 8-12wks and some 9-13wks but I stuck with where I went on my other 2 pregnancies.

Maybenextmonth,how's your pain now?hope its passed,sorry to hear about your MC.

I had to use a pillow against my belly last night,usually sleep on my tummy but couldn't get comfy and even on my side my belly just felt uncomfortable!I reckon I could be in Maternity Clothes within 2 or 3 wks coz I can see it already,like a constant bloating...not that I'm slim anyway but definately noticing a difference,no other symptoms thankfully,had constant nausea 1st time and on 2 nd he tiredness was unreal,I'd nap every evening after work!
