Hiya peeps,

DP and I have once again had a discussion over spelling of LO's name...when he gets here lol.

We have settled on Konor Michal, Konor is my way of spelling it but dp says if it being spelt with a K then we should spell it Konnor, I say Konor.

Michal he won't even attempt to judge me on as it was my dads name....pronounced Mehal it is Polish.

Which way would you choose? I prefer Konor and dp Konnor...

Someone please start a 'What do you consider to be a chav name?' thread. I started the last 'what wouldn't you call your child' thread, I can't be seen to be obsessed.

If that's to me TM (same initials lol) my name is also a perfectly REAL name taken from Latin, it's just less common. The variations I get, however, are unbelievable and often bear no relation to the real thing. It really pees me off actually that people can't be bothered to copy a name properly when addressing a letter - sheer laziness. I'm just concerned for OP's DS as it does get blardy annoying when everyone gets your name wrong.

MrsScavo · 07/07/2007 22:36

But Taylors Mummy - Somebody onece changed the spelling of Tailor to Taylor!

Twinklemegan · 07/07/2007 22:37

Ooh sorry that wasn't to me was it. See Awen's made me paranoid now.

j20baby · 07/07/2007 22:37

It is annoying Twinklemegan/Sparkly, I look at my name mis-spelt and think hmm thats not me!

Twinklemegan · 07/07/2007 22:40

I know J20. Pot calling kettle black, that's all.

MamaMaiasaura · 07/07/2007 22:40

mmj - she didnt ask of what people thought of the actual name if you read OP what she wanted to know was general consensus on 1 n or 2. Made it clear they had chosen the name.

Twinklemegan · 07/07/2007 22:41

Whoever suggested starting a chavvy names thread, please don't. The last one got quite nasty (and DS's name was on there - humph).

Twinklemegan · 07/07/2007 22:42

Oh I so wish I could post some of the ridiculous things I get called by the great unwashed illiterate, but then I'd identify myself to anyone who happened to know me.

sparklygothkat · 07/07/2007 22:42

On My maternity notes my first name is spelt wrong, with a E instead of a A! Everytime I go in for an appointment I moan about it, and they say that they will get my stickers changed but they haven't yet.

j20baby · 07/07/2007 22:43

go on twinkle

MamaMaiasaura · 07/07/2007 22:43

At risk of identifying myself there was a campaign on Radio 1 a few years back saying all people with my name are Evil!

Might be right
