Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

For maternity wear, ASOS is really good. Zara have just got a maternity range too. I also like Dorothy Perkins, Gap (only when there's offers!), H&M, New Look and Top Shop. All quite reasonable. Seraphine is at the higher end, but their leggings are totally worth it.

Most stuff is only available online, which is a bit annoying.

Rememberallball · 26/03/2019 16:50

I’ve picked up quite a few things for casualwear from Asda and all reasonably priced. Next also have quite a bit online.

Claireb2203 · 26/03/2019 16:51

Thanks ladies will start having a look around

Mummsie1 · 26/03/2019 18:31

So just wondering if people have decided if they are going to find out the gender?

I’m a bit torn on it this pregnancy, with my daughter I really wanted a girl and so did oh (if she was a boy we wouldn’t of been bothered but people have preference especially as he already has 2 boys) and felt right to find out. This time round I really don’t have a preference and although oh would like a boy (his wants his princess to stay his only princess bless him) he’s also said what ever would be nice, so I feel great time to have a surprise but I keep having to explain this to everyone who asks as I think the ‘Norm’ no days is to find out

Thanks for your views and preferences on this topic 😁

Woolly17 · 27/03/2019 03:26

Had a good scan! There's a baby in there and it's got all the right bits (arms and legs etc). So that's a relief!

@mumsie1 we're going to find out what gender, because I'm curious. I'd like a girl (we have a DD already) but a boy would be lovely too. DH doesn't care either way and wouldn't mind it being a surprise. Last time we had an inconclusive scan at 20 weeks - so we didn't feel like telling people. So we'll see how it goes.

Frizzy1986 · 27/03/2019 07:50

@mummsie1 we won't be finding out at all. We didn't find out with dd last time and I find it exciting. We don't care at all what we have and when people ask what we'd like I always reply with "a baby".
We got all neutrals before dd as I prefer those colours anyway. We got dresses when she was bigger as we used sleepsuits for a good few months for ease. I'm not a mum who finds baby fashion important at all so didn't bother with outfits and coordinating etc.
We are lucky that we still have dds things in the loft and my sister had boys so we have their hand me downs too.
When we had dd the sonographer was excited we didn't want to know as he said most people find out and that was 5 years ago. People seem surprised this time too, but for me it's genuinely one of life's great surprises as not many exist anymore and to know that my body is creating a baby of a particular gender and I have no idea what it is, is fascinating.
I also love how people think they "know" what you are having and have premonitions and things. It makes me giggle as it's literally a 50/50 guess.

@woolly17 glad that the scan went well for you. It's nice getting towards the end of one bit, ready to go onto the next.

fluffyunicorns86 · 27/03/2019 08:48

@woolly17 glad scan went well got mine next Tuesday.

@mummsie1 I will be finding out what we are having and did with my son. I didn't have the option to find out with my girls which was 13 and 10 years ago so wanted to with all pregnancies after since we can. I don't care as I have one of each but my partner would like a girl but he will be happy either way x

GinMama1 · 27/03/2019 10:13

@Woolly17 great news on the scan!

@Mummsie1 we won't find out the gender. We didn't last time and my husband told me which was just lovely. I don't really mind this time.

Claireb2203 · 27/03/2019 10:26

Is anyone who is starting to feel ok again suddenly have rubbish days? Been feeling pretty good lately, 12+2, today been sick, bad reflux and feel shattered. Thought this was all done with. Hope i feel ok tomorrow as have scan in the morning

wren1988 · 27/03/2019 11:58

Hi everyone! Five weeks ago we found out we will be having our first little one and I'm over the moon :) currently 10+3 and due 20th Oct-ish. I'm 30 and we decided to start trying at new year. First scan is on 9th April and I'm absolutely desperate to tell people. How has everyone managed to keep their news secret as I'm really struggling? Looking forwards to chatting with all you other lovely mums to be! Xx

Claireb2203 · 27/03/2019 12:13

Hi @wren1988 congratulations! How are u feeling? My scan is tomorrow 2nd baby for us, nervous and excited

wren1988 · 27/03/2019 12:19

@Claireb2203 thank you! Feeling ok, some symptoms such as EXTREMELY sore nips and constipation (so glam) and just feeling hungry all the time! Also feel like I've gained weight but scales tell me I haven't... all my jeans feel too tight and OH thinks my belly looks bigger which surprises me as I'm only 10 weeks. What about you?

CZFR · 27/03/2019 12:55

@wren1988 Hello to you! We are due dates buddy and scan dates buddy! 😊 Congratualtions!

givememarmite · 27/03/2019 13:18

@Claireb2203 I was just coming to ask the same question...I woke up feeling so sick this morning and that feeling hasn't gone all day. I've had a cup of tea and water but cannot stomach any food. I feel so rough.
I'm off work sick this week with a sinus infection so have been able to lie in bed all morning but this is just horrible. Sorry you are feeling so bad as well x

@Mummsie1 we found out the sex with both girls and are considering not finding out this time because it is most definitely the last pregnancy! Last chance to have a surprise! But not really sure I can take the suspense Grin

fluffyunicorns86 · 27/03/2019 13:19

@wren1988 congratulations. I am 12+5 with baby number 4 not had it easy tbh so very anxious about scan next week. Hope all is well with you x

Claireb2203 · 27/03/2019 13:40

@givememarmite sorry to hear your feeling rubbish too, hopefully we will just have the odd rubbish day here and there and will mainly feel ok approaching 13 week point. I've managed to eat but feel sick again now.

womaninkent · 27/03/2019 14:33

@wren1988 congratulations! I’m so glad you said that about weight. I have definitely put on some weight on the waist and breasts (not my imagination-clothes don’t fit and gone up a bra cup size). However got on the scales the other day and they said i’d lost a pound. I am most confused about that, particularly as I haven’t been vomiting and I have basically been living on carbs.

gingernutinswitzerland · 27/03/2019 14:35

Hi all,
I’m currently 12+3 with baby number 2 and thought I’d say hi! Due 6th October.

Had my first baby while in the Uk, so it’s interesting and a little daunting going through it all in Switzerland! Care has been excellent so far though. I had my 12 week scan yesterday and all looking good (if wriggly!!)

Wishing everyone smooth pregnancies! :-)

givememarmite · 27/03/2019 15:05

Hello and congrats to the new joiners!
@gingernutinswitzerland we are neighbours Smile I'm in Germany. Only have experience of having babies here though so can't compare!

GinMama1 · 27/03/2019 15:17

@givememarmite where in Germany are you? We were meant to be relocating to Berlin this year but I'm hoping to delay until because of the pregnancy.

givememarmite · 27/03/2019 17:10

@GinMama1 I'm in Frankfurt. Been here twenty years now! I love it and so far my experience of bringing up kids here is really positive as is care in pregnancy and afterwards. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions although I really don't know much about Berlin, only been twice for the weekend.

givememarmite · 27/03/2019 18:41

Oh dear, went to pick DD1 up from training and ended up throwing up in the toilets there Sad how likely is it for morning sickness to start at 9 weeks? Or have I managed to pick up a sickness bug as well?
I feel so terrible right now

klanger19 · 27/03/2019 18:44

@claireb2203 @givememarmite I've also had a shocking few days health wise. Been feeling fab for a few weeks now and then been struck down with diahhorea of all things! Sooo grim!!! Feel about as attractive as a bag of soggy salad! Moping around and generally feeling sorry for myself today.

How long after booking in appointment did your scan letter arrive all?

klanger19 · 27/03/2019 18:46

I've also been an emotional wreck this week- crying at the drop of a hat! My husband suggested we went out on the tandem bike this weekend as we 'won't be able to do this much longer' and I cried for about 3 hours! Stil feel teary when I thibk about it! I think at the moment I'm aware of what will be changing/we will be losing - but not yet close enough to be looking forward to what we are gaining.
