All the best @miller2 hope everything will be fine. A bit of brown blood is fairly common im told - they asked you to come down for an internal scan thats surprising - may be for your peace of mind. I am sure it will be all good.

thumper59 · 08/03/2019 09:53

@Miller2 good luck although brown blood is old blood and tends to be common and nothing to worry about so I have hope everything is fine! It's natural to worry though.

@Smiffette same although I've not had many symptoms so far so it's a bit reassuring for me! Hope it doesn't last though

worriedmomtobe1 · 08/03/2019 09:54

Hello everyone - any one had their first private scans yet ? do we know when is the best time to have one where you can see heart beat and is more assuring.

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 08/03/2019 09:58

Hi Worried. I understand that many people can see a heartbeat from about 6 weeks but not everyone. Most people should see a heartbeat by about 7 weeks (assuming you have your dates right).

LokiCat · 08/03/2019 10:10

@Miller2 good luck for your appointment. Glad they've given you one straight away so you're not worrying for too long. Fingers crossed everything is fine 🤞🏽💕

thumper59 · 08/03/2019 10:11

@worriedmomtobe1 hi and welcome. I am having one at 8 weeks as by then heartbeat etc should be well viable. I fear if I had one earlier and they couldn't pick up a heart beat it would just worry me more!

ChesMum2019 · 08/03/2019 10:13

So had my scan today I've been spotting daily. But all was fine. Said the spotting could be because of my recent op but didn't see any bleeding or areas of concern. Said I was 6weeks 6days but I think I'm more like6 weeks 1 days. Saw a little heartbeat ❤️. I go back on the 19th March for another scan

ChesMum2019 · 08/03/2019 10:15

My little scan ❤️

LG0914 · 08/03/2019 10:17

I've had quite a lot of bleeding, they've done blood tests and urine samples (still came back as pregnant). Said it was too early to do a scan. I'm hoping the bleeding stops soon. The next few weeks can't come quick enough I just want to know everything is ok. The not knowing is awful. All my symptoms are still happening and I'm extremely tired - I can't get enough.
And to top it off last night I cried after asking my boyfriend what we were having to eat so then I chose something else and cried again. This is going to be fun eh?Blush

OhMarnie · 08/03/2019 10:20

@ChesMum2019 that's so lovely!!! 💕💕💕

ChesMum2019 · 08/03/2019 10:23

@LG0914 it's such a worrying time. Are they going to repeat the bloods 48hrs from first test? It will possibly give you some answers ? I know how horrible this can be. I've been on both sides. I have3 children and 3 miscarriages and pregnant again and hoping this one is my rainbow. I've had brown spotting daily with this one and expected the worst today and it wasn't. So I have everything crossed for you. Try and stay off google (if only I practiced what I preach ) sending you hugs x x

worriedmomtobe1 · 08/03/2019 10:24

@thegruffaloslovechild thanks yeah probably 7-8 weeks would be a better time. It is the wait that feels too long.
I am also confused between pregnacare original ( which i have been taking) and pregnacare plus or max which includes an extra capsule which is omega 3. I called NHS to check and the physician said that they only advice that Folic acid and vitamin D should be taken daily in recommended quantities and that should be enough.
He said there are other vitamins and things available but thats more like making money...

thumper59 · 08/03/2019 10:24

@ChesMum2019 aw amazing!! I can't wait for that feeling!

worriedmomtobe1 · 08/03/2019 10:31

@thumper59 yes that makes a lot of sense. Rather wait another week then going worried sick - thank you for the welcome :)

worriedmomtobe1 · 08/03/2019 10:32

@chesmum2019 congratulations 💕

Laurajp23 · 08/03/2019 10:38

@chesmum2019

That's so cute! Congrats! 💕

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 08/03/2019 10:39

Worriedmomtobe1 - in all honesty, I think pregnancare original is more than fine and the Pregnacare Plus is there because the company preys on worried mums who end up spending even more money than they have to! As long as you are taking folic acid that’s all that really matters, then things like Vitamin D are a bonus as well. Also try and have a varied diet, like eating fish/veg/good quality proteins (easier said than done when you feel nauseous!).

As for the scan, I’ve booked one for 6+3. It’s a little earlier than I would have liked, but the only other date I can do is when I’m 8+ weeks and I just can’t wait that long (I get bad anxiety and am worried about things like ectopics).

LG0914 · 08/03/2019 10:44

@Chesmum2019 thank you! Also your scan is lovely!
They didn't say they planned on repeating tests. But if I was concerned and if anything got worse to call or go back to them. Haha I know keeping away from Google is hard, easier said than done xx

worriedmomtobe1 · 08/03/2019 10:46

@thegruffaloslovechild all the very best with the scan.
Yes i agree the more you google the more you go crazy anxious. I read how omega3 is important for the brain to develop and thought i am not taking it (since i dont eat fish really) may be i can try some walnuts daily.
I have this weird nausous taste in my mouth mostly in the afternoons and evenings. The only time it is not there is when i am eating something lol.
I read how you should not eat for 2 buttt i am kind of hungry every hour.

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 08/03/2019 10:51

Worriedmom - I totally get that and I’m a little anxious about the weight gain. With my first I needed to eat ALL THE TIME or I felt violently sick. I could also only stomach beige food for the first few months. I ended up gaining 5 stone which was AWFUL. I know others have reported needing to eat all the time but didn’t seem to gain the same amount of weight, so maybe I was just unlucky. I know these things aren’t important and it’s all about having a healthy baby, but it’s still worrying Confused.

brighteye3986 · 08/03/2019 11:04

Anime else getting cramping?? I'm 5+4 and it feels like AF is coming. They come and go but it's making me check every time I go to the toilet. Sometimes I don't even need the toilet sometimes and just go to check.....

OhMarnie · 08/03/2019 11:11

@brighteye3986 I'm having that too sometimes. Not painful but I can feel it. Apparently it's just your uterus expanding? 😳

brighteye3986 · 08/03/2019 11:17

@OhMarnie This pregnancy stuff isn't easy at all. I'm sure we will worry the whole way through and then once they are here we will worry even more!

tigsyboo · 08/03/2019 11:20

I have all the same worries
I don't feel sick but if I'm hungry I'm STARVING and just want savoury / salty carbs. I wouldnt thank you for anything sweet.
I have definitely put weight on so need to curb it a bit

I had a MMC at 9 weeks (baby stopped st 5+6) in Nov and suffer with anxiety anyway so GP agreed for me to have early scan which is booked next fri when I will be 7+2.

Feel like symptoms are dropping off, boobs nowhere near as sore etc and feel worried x

PrayingandHoping · 08/03/2019 11:20

@OhMarnie and @brighteye3986

I am today too

Woke up early hours doubled over in pain. But I've had constipation quite badly (ivf pregnancy and on extra progesterone). 2 hrs in the bathroom and the worst cramps were gone but I do feel very delicate today ☹️

So don't know if it's now my uterus cramping or my digestive system
