@thumper - get some laculose from the chemist. It's about £6 for a big bottle. Take 20ml morning and night and within a few dats you'll be sorted. Don't let it get worse and straining isn't good for you xx

HJWT · 07/03/2019 08:15

All of my sickness has gone its just gagging now which is GREAT 😁

TrashKitten10 · 07/03/2019 08:24

@thumper59 Haha, I'm an interferer as well Grin I'm very lucky in that I'm the messy one and DH clears up after me normally without complaint.

This morning I drove past a cow that looked sad and cried for 20 solid minutes. Being emotional is a symptom, right? I'm not just losing the plot?😂

Miller2 · 07/03/2019 08:35

@trashkitten10 yep. I cried at masterchef the other day. Someone's meal didn't turn out how they wanted and I just sat there blubbing 🤣 also cried in the queue at sainsburys for no reason whatsoever (so embarrassing).

Shefliesonherownwings · 07/03/2019 09:22

I am getting more nausea now. Not so bad that I need to be sick and it does seem to die off if I eat or drink something. But I am feeling quite dizzy with it too. Laid down last night in bed and the room was spinning. Think I will have to tell my manager today as it keeps coming over me in waves. How's everyone else today?

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 07/03/2019 10:32

It’s also starting to hit me. I’ve had two mornings of gagging and just feel really cold, achey and out of it.

QforCucumber · 07/03/2019 10:47

Hope the sickness isn't too bad for you all.

I have no symptoms other than firm sore boobs, making me worry but know nothing I can do about it so just plodding along at the moment.

OhMarnie · 07/03/2019 11:03

@TrashKitten10 😂😂😂 that is so funny and sweet. I totally get the emotion thing, I'm a teacher and one of the teaching assistants just thanked me for supporting one of the students with mental health issues and I nearly burst into tears. We've all got observations today so if they say anything nice to me in feedback (or horrible!) I will have to try not to blubber all over them.

thumper59 · 07/03/2019 11:22

Haha aww I am emotional at the best of times so I think it'll get out of hand!

Tiredness is dojng me in again at the moment. I could just sleep all day! I keep getting what I think is waves of nausea but they aren't to bad yet

ally62442 · 07/03/2019 11:37

Thanks @Miller2 and @LG0914 nice to know I'm not on my own. Can't help but compare this pregnancy and my last. But I suppose they are going to be different. My achy back have eased of a little today. Just the usual exhaustion now. Currently lying In bed while my little boys naps.

TrashKitten10 · 07/03/2019 11:42

@Miller2 Haha that's so funny! Wonder what it was about Sainsbury's that set you off Grin

@OhMarnie oh bless you :) I hope your observation goes well and there aren't too many tears! I'm a teacher too, are you Primary or secondary? It's an emotional rollercoaster of a job so I definitely think we can justify some tears, just not over sad looking cows 😂

Miller2 · 07/03/2019 11:46

@trashkitten10 probably the prospect of a self service checkout! 🤣🤣🤣

I don't seem to need a reason. My eyes just start leaking for no reason half the time!

Bluebell9 · 07/03/2019 12:08

I got my booking in appointment yesterday for 26th March so I'll be 9+2 by then.
Nausea has hit me and I have to constantly eat, I'm going to put on so much weight at the rate I'm stuffing myself!

Needadoughnut · 07/03/2019 12:51

I'm so excited today I see the midwife! I've also managed to run a couple of miles. I used to be very active and run marathons but that affected my fertility do had to stop.

I started crying whilst watching Instant Family, even though it's a comedy! DH thought I was crazy when I was bawling towards the end. I hope I don't start blubbering at work. I'm surrounded by police officers so I don't know if they'll be able to deal!

Had really sore boobs this morning but atleast the bloated feeling has slightly gone!
Hope you're all having a nice day 😊

LokiCat · 07/03/2019 12:59

Hope your appointment goes well today! @Needadoughnut

OhMarnie · 07/03/2019 13:27

@TrashKitten10 thanks, it was fine! I'm secondary, are you primary?

Today my sense of smell is so heightened I feel like a dog. Never realised there were so many weird and wonderful (mainly weird 😷) scents out there all the time 😂

LokiCat · 07/03/2019 18:15

Accidentally slammed two of my fingers in the doors of the changing rooms at the gym 😩 almost threw up from the pain and then burst out crying 🙈🙈 felt so ridiculous

thumper59 · 07/03/2019 18:47

So has anyone changed their diet? Any recommendations. I don't eat bad like loads but I don't eat well. I hardly eat any fruit but do enjoy my veg. All teas are freshly made. What else should I eat 😬

TrashKitten10 · 07/03/2019 19:06

@OhMarnie Pleased it went well! I'm in Primary, at the very lower end. You get sweaty teenager smells, I get dirty nappy smells Grin

@Needadoughnut how did your appointment go?

@LokiCat ouch! You poor thing :( is it bruised?

@thumper59 I haven't changed my diet since I got my BFP but did as soon as we started TTC. I aim to eat the maximum recommended amount of oily fish per week for lots of omega 3 and try to have one or two folate rich foods a day, just to top up my folic acid supplement. I'm still partial to a biscuit or ten but I try to make sure I'm getting a good mix of vitamins. I think that's only realistic as long as you're not throwing up though. Can't imagine I'm going to fancy my stinky mackerel on toast when I'm in the throes of morning sickness 🤢

thumper59 · 07/03/2019 19:31

@TrashKitten10 oh no no makeral for me 🤢. I'm not mad on fish, unless it's in batter 😂 I do want to make better food choices but I don't like much I like food as bland as it comes!! X

Laurajp23 · 07/03/2019 19:40

Hi all! Found out im pregnant with my first 2 days ago!
Due date I think is somewhere around the 12th November!
We have been extremely lucky and hot pregnant on our first cycle of trying. Started to feel funny last weekend and my boobs hurt soooo much. The pain was different from a period though so I had my suspicions! Then from Monday I've been feeling quite queasy from the minute I get up till about 11.00. I then feel a bit sicky on an evening after my evening meal 🤢
Just been watching the telly and literally crying at anything and everything! 🤣🙈🙈

TrashKitten10 · 07/03/2019 19:46

@thumper59 Yes that's the face DH pulls when I give him a goodbye kiss after having my mackerel for breakfast 😂 it's not for everyone haha.

@Laurajp23 Congrats and welcome!

thumper59 · 07/03/2019 19:53

@TrashKitten10 that's so funny my DH loves mackerel and I'm the same when he gives me a kiss with it 😂 I've been binge eating the cheddar and cod fish cakes from Aldi. Amazing!

Shefliesonherownwings · 07/03/2019 20:02

I got my booking in appointment through today. 29th March. Feels more real now! There's a load of screening info to read through and the offer of taking part in a pilot looking at receiving antenatal care in a different way. Not sure I'll go for it, but its interesting.
