Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

I'm really impatient, as well. I'm so excited and want to tell a few people, but DH is right in saying that things can go wrong, so will only be telling close family. I've also told my best friend and he's told his.
I was in Primark shopping today and found two baby tops that say 'grandma's little star' and 'grandpa's little star'. Will probably use those to tell my parents tonight😂

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 04/03/2019 17:48

That’s hilarious Prequelle Grin

Knickersononeshead · 04/03/2019 18:06

I'm cramping really badly this evening, keep taking myself off to the loo expecting the worst ☹️

Needadoughnut · 04/03/2019 18:19

@Knickersononeshead same here. Fingers crossed for you!

ameh mines Sunday too at 1030! Good luck!

Knickersononeshead · 04/03/2019 18:33

Thanks @needadoughnut, have my fingers tightly crossed for you too 🤞

Can someone change the night is forever to this username please on the due list? It won't let me do it for some reason.

amehh · 04/03/2019 18:40

@prequelle oooh mine is 12:40pm! What will you be then? I'll be 6+2. I'm prepared there might not be a heartbeat yet and that's okay, I just need to know it's in the right place and I'll calm down :)

HJWT · 04/03/2019 18:44

@amehh I saw a heartbeat at 5+3 so hopefully you will see one its really lovely to get to see that 🥰

HJWT · 04/03/2019 18:46

My feeling sick has totally lifted today!! But iv now moved on to being really emotional, keep blubbing at the tv and LOVE my DH a LOT more than usual 😂😂😂

amehh · 04/03/2019 18:48

@HJWT oooh fab! I won't be disappointed if I don't see one but it would be lovely to, especially as I'm going alone as DH will be entertaining DS in a park while I go in! It's so hard keeping it a secret from DS!

TrashKitten10 · 04/03/2019 19:10

Hi guys, could any of you help me with your experiences? I phoned the doctors today to say I'd just found out I was pregnant and could they advise me what to do next. I do get it's really early days but she just asked if I'd missed two consecutive periods. I said no, just one, and she said that nothing happens until you've missed two periods and then I need to self refer to the hospital. After this I book a midwife appointment. I checked the hospital self referral page and it said once you've filled in the self referral to book your midwife appointment for between 8-11 weeks. Except by the time I've missed two periods I'll already be 9 weeks (5 week cycles) and surely will then be late to try to get a midwife appointment. Was the receptionist just talking rubbish? I could understand waiting until 6/7 weeks to get things booked but waiting until 8/9 weeks for an 8 week appointment?! Confused I'm tempted just to self refer and ignore her Grin

HJWT · 04/03/2019 19:15

@TrashKitten10 your supposed to self refer now anyway! Its ridiculous but that what it says everywhere... the lady at my early scan even spoke over me to say you SHOULD self refer... my GP had already referred me though 😂

Otto8 · 04/03/2019 19:16

Hi everyone, I got BFP yesterday and think I’m due November 7th (day after my birthday). I’ve got 2 children already who are 8 and 6.

I will be booking the harmony test as I’m 39 and last year had to have a termination following our 12 week scan as it came back 1:6 for Edwards Syndrome and CVS confirmed it. It is very rare but I want to know as soon as possible this time round and the Harmony test is very accurate for Downs and Edwards I think. Still a long way off and feeling quite anxious!

brighteye3986 · 04/03/2019 19:25

@TrashKitten10 I would just self refer. My GP told me to do that straight away. I haven't seen them or anything that's just what they told me to do!

ally62442 · 04/03/2019 19:29

@CCBloom1 defiantly a daunting prospect. My little boy is one on the 31st of March. He's such a good baby so I'm hoping this next one is just as good. But they say you never have two the same.

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 04/03/2019 20:38

Welcome Otto and congratulations. I am so so so sorry to hear about what you went through. It must have been extremely traumatic. Good luck over the next few weeks and having the harmony test x

LokiCat · 04/03/2019 21:13

@TrashKitten10 that's strange. The receptionist told me I can do a self referral online, but to also go in tomorrow for a chat, so they can put down at the GP that I'm pregnant.
I'd just ignore her and self refer, especially if the hospital website says that as well.

snowdroplet · 04/03/2019 21:50

Can I join. Got BFP Friday, I think I'm due between 7-11th. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks at end of Jan and think conceived about 2 weeks later. My emotions are a bit all over the place, I have no symptoms not even sore breasts which I had last time and had eased off before miscarriage so this has me worried.

Prequelle · 04/03/2019 21:59

Envious of the ability to self refer. We can't here.

Prequelle · 04/03/2019 21:59

ameh I'll be 6+1, we seem to be very similar!

Miller2 · 04/03/2019 22:07

@prequelle we can't self refer either. Had to see community midwife at gp to get the referral and my booking in appointment scheduled.

heeeeeeeefgu · 04/03/2019 22:51

Hoping to join!

Got BFP today and I am absolutely terrified. Due 1st November xx

Lozboz22 · 04/03/2019 23:10

@snowdroplet I'm in the same position as you so know how you feel. I also miscarried at the end of Jan at about 8 weeks and conceived probably 2 weeks later. It's an anxious time to say the least isn't it xx

Katie2330 · 05/03/2019 01:55

Hi all! Happy and nervous to be joining you! This is baby number 5 (ds 14, DD 6, DD 4, DD 21 months) and pregnancy number 8. I had my third miscarriage in January and had surgery on the 23rd, think I conceived mid Feb as I had ovulation pains, and so here I am! Due 9th November!
Scared to get excited but can't help but dream! Wishing everyone a happy, healthy pregnancy and sticky beans for those in the same situation as me xx

Miller2 · 05/03/2019 06:36

How's everyone else's pregnancy symptoms going? I'm concerned. My boobs were agony a week ago but now they're almost back to normal with just a small amount of soreness around the nipples. I've not felt crampy in 3 days, and I didnt wake up in the middle of the night for a wee last night either. Maybe it's normal for some symptoms to fade gradually (it's not been sudden its been over 5 days or so) but I was wo wondering if this is happening to anyone else that had sore boobs and cramping right at the start.
