Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

Welcome @Zarara

I'm the same as @thumper59 I rang my GP and they advised I needed to self refer online so I did it the same day. I haven't received anything yet but only did it on Wednesday so hopefully will get some information in the next few days.

ale2992 · 01/03/2019 08:21

Hi guys can I join? Just found out this week!

TheNightIsForever · 01/03/2019 08:31

Congratulations to the new ladies with their bfp's!

November baby here too and a lefty! DH also born in November.

I have to drag myself to the hospital this morning for an 'emergency' appt with the diabetic team. And also to get a prescription for 5mg folic acid. Tried getting it through gp surgery but the receptionist was an arse and wouldn't even entertain me 🙄

Sickness is on and off, more so late afternoon. Oh and bloody heartburn!

Hope everyone had a good day.

Miller2 · 01/03/2019 09:14

I'm still crampy too and my back is killing me already. Its only been hurting from noon most days but woke up with it aching today. Also having to wear my fat pants that I'd well and truly slimmed out of. They are hanging off me in the mornings (I can take them down without even undoing them) but by lunch time I have to undo the top button due to bloating. I go from looking normal in the morning to 7 months pregnanct by lunch time. Its ridiculous 😂

But... drumroll.... I slept through unto 5.30! Had to get up cos I needed a wee. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to get 6.5 hours solid sleep! I feel so much better this morning for it (aside from cramps and back ache obvs).

Leleophants · 01/03/2019 10:08

@Needadoughnut a part of me wishes I hadn't done an early test so I had a few more days of normality.

Feeling really spacey and weird this morning! Anyone else?

MrsPMT23 · 01/03/2019 10:24

Hello! Can I join? Got my BFP this morning Grin

I'm 28. We've been trying for DC2 about 4 cycles. Already have a DD who is 2.7. No idea of an exact due date but I'm thinking around 5-8th November.

I have absolutely no symptoms other than my nipples getting a bit sore when cold. I'd convinced myself it would be a BFN this month!

Off to my Dr this morning to fill in the referall form.

HJWT · 01/03/2019 10:49

Feel very sick & dizzy today 🥵 anybody having a private early scan? Xx

thumper59 · 01/03/2019 11:01

Congrats new ladies.

I'm booking an early scan for when I'll be 8+5. Day before Mother's Day 🙂 all being well we are then going to tell family!

I'm extremely hormornal today. Feeling very stressed about mundane things. Had my car for sale for a while and it hasn't sold and it needs another clean which has just made me VERY upset. Ha. I know it's irrational, which is only a good sign yeah? 😂😂

Shefliesonherownwings · 01/03/2019 11:08

Hi everyone, welcome to the new joiners. I feel like my symptoms are improving. Really hope that's not a bad sign Confused. Bloating and boob pains are less, although I have started feeling a bit nauseous in the mornings but only slightly so might be imagining it. Doctor's appointment on Monday for referral to midwife. Hope everyone else is ok.

thumper59 · 01/03/2019 11:10

@Shefliesonherownwings same other then ridiculously swollen and sore boobs my nausea and quite a bit of tiredness seems to have gone for now. J took another pregnancy test this morning though and the line was ridiculously darker then the control so I'm hoping that can only be a good sign my bodies doing what it should be!! I read the symptoms kick in at 6-8 so we should maybe enjoy this part 😂

brighteye3986 · 01/03/2019 12:05

My nausea seems to have eased today. I'm sure it will hit me later though. I've been a little crampy this morning but nothing too major.

LKRJM · 01/03/2019 13:01

My nausea pretty much stopped at 5 weeks exactly. I’m 5+3 and had 3 days without it - it’s now been took over by sore boobs! Pregnancy tests still really strong so feeling much better. X

Bluebell9 · 01/03/2019 13:21

I've got my GP appointment for a referral to the midwife today. It might start to feel a bit more real!

I did a CB digital last night and it came up at 3+ which was reassuring.

Prequelle · 01/03/2019 14:35

Thenight you can buy your own folic acid instead of having to wait! I just have a multi vit with it in

Jjohno · 01/03/2019 15:34

Hi all! Can I join the convo?!
I am due around the start of November (a calculator says 3rd) I did a CB test yesterday (5th test lol) and it says 2-3 weeks. This is my first so I’m completely lost on what I should and shouldn’t be feeling at the minute!! Xx

Waitingformyrainbow · 01/03/2019 15:51

Hi ladies, this will sound really bizarre but has anyone else had a bruised feeling on their legs? It's on the upper outside of my thigh, so strange it's so tender to touch but nothing there to see?

amehh · 01/03/2019 17:38

Welcome and congrats to all the new ladies! 5+0 here and I'm sooooo sleepy! And I'm really frustrated that running has become so difficult! Where a 10 mile run would be challenging but not too tiring, I'm now struggling to run 1 mile without getting tired, hmph. Is anyone else running/exercising?

I'm having a dilemma if anyone can help? I agreed to attend a 2 day hen party before my bfp, costing over £200 but now I won't be able to do most of the activities and I'll be 6 months so probably won't want to be out clubbing all night either. However everyone has agreed prices so I don't feel like I can drop out. We owe money soon and I don't know what to do? I'm happy to still go for the first night but I'll just be standing around on the second day and night unable to take part and I'd really rather not (and also save some pennies!). I'm a bridesmaid as well and still need to tackle telling the bride soon because of dresses, although if she wants me to step down then I'm okay with that.

Any advice? I'm worrying about it late at night every night Confused

amehh · 01/03/2019 17:39

Edit to add: if I drop out then it makes everyone else have to pay more so I'm feeling guilty

Needadoughnut · 01/03/2019 18:00

Eekkk I have the midwife appointment next week! After I mentioned I'm very high risk and had already had a miscarriage they rushed to see me at not even 6 weeks!!

OP posts:
HJWT · 01/03/2019 18:51

@amehh if there true friends they will just be excited for you and understand x

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 01/03/2019 19:14

Amehh - I would probably suck up the payment as you agreed to go and it’s a bit tough on others who budgeted for £200 who then have to pay more. I totally understand the frustration though! Also at least this way it keeps your options open should you want to go on the night out (you never know how you’ll feel!) or if you decide there are any activities you CAN join in (even for cocktail making they usually do mocktails

Good luck telling the bride. Personally I think that if she’s a good friend she’ll just be happy for you!!! Have you got the dresses yet? If so, you could offer to buy a new dress/get yours taken out a little so she’s not stung for the cost. Honestly I think she will just feel happy for you though Smile

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 01/03/2019 19:17

P.S. I’m hoping to keep running a little if possible. With DC1 I had to stop all exercise for 9 months, then another 6 months post CS. I lost all my fitness and gained 5 stone, so really didn’t feel good about myself. Obviously all that matters is having a healthy baby, and sometimes people have really difficult pregnancies and literally CANNOT exercise, but I’m going to try and stay active (famous last words!).

Naughtysausage · 01/03/2019 20:52

@amehh I think you should still go on the hen do too. You might be feeling amazing and sad if you cancel it entirely.
I didn't run last week, but I'm hoping to be out again next week, but probs only 3 miles max.

@Waitingformyrainbow nope - that sounds uncomfortable!

Congratulations to all the new joiners! There's a list of due dates a few pages back that would be good to update. I'll see if I can find it.
