Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

@thumper59 yes this is my first so we will be going through everything together. I had IVF so my date should be pretty much spot on as date of Egg collection is classed as ovulation. I have a viability scan booked for 21st March so will be 7+3 when that is done. I'm telling my family tonight as they have been through the whole thing with me. Although it feels really early to tell them I think it will help me with any support etc I need through the rest of the pregnancy.

thumper59 · 28/02/2019 10:17

@brighteye3986 aw that's amazing I'm so pleased for you. Yeah we are the same then! If not it my dates change it'll only be slightly. If baby is anything like me it'll be late 😳😂.

Every day is a worry at the moment. we are going to go for a private early scan on the 30th match, then plan to tell everyone on Mother's Day. Well family! Good idea about telling them and having their support. I'm finding it very lonely having nobody to talk to irl other then my OH, but I am just worried about telling people incase anything goes wrong then I have to say that too.

I’m 6 weeks 3 days. My mum and nan both had the severe form , so guessing I’m following them.

brighteye3986 · 28/02/2019 10:57

@thumper59 I know what you mean but I feel I need to tell my family especially after we have been through to get to this point! It's been a long 4 years but fingers crossed we are finally there.

LKRJM · 28/02/2019 11:11

Hi all congratulations on all your BFP, would love to tag along, got my BFP on the 19th after some very irregular cycles but my app says 5+2, this is mine and my partners first (so lucky we caught 2nd month, first month properly trying)!

Are the early scans worth it do you think? I’m just paranoid it’s not going to go right or there’s something wrong and I don’t know if this is normal.

I had the 4am wake ups last week but they’ve stopped this week thank god, although I’m in bed at 8.30 every night and awake every day before my alarm, I’m constantly tired. Have on and off nausea, some days none, other days on the evening all evening!

Also, I still can’t stop POAS, but my lines are definitely getting stronger and stronger. Am going after work hopefully to get a digital just to make my nerves better.

thumper59 · 28/02/2019 11:21

@brighteye3986 oh yeah definitely the right thing for you and as you say they've been on the journey with you 🙂.

I keep coming really close to telling my best friend. I don't think I'll get away with it for another 4 weeks! I do like it being mine and OHs 'thing' though

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 28/02/2019 13:23

Good luck telling your family Brighteye. They will be thrilled for you. I’m keeping everything crossed for you (and all the other ladies on this thread obviously).

I’m also struggling with insomnia. Although I struggle with insomnia at the best of times, plus my 1 year old is a bad sleeper, so it could be unrelated to pregnancy!

LKJRM - the early scans are expensive, but in my opinion they are worth it so that you have some peace of mind about what is going on. I know I sounded all doom and gloom earlier on the thread, but if it’s bad news I’d rather find out at 7ish weeks than 12ish weeks. Obviously anything can happen after that early scan, but I found it really reassured me for a few days when I was at a very anxious stage in my previous pregnancies.

Thankfully I haven’t had any more bleeding but still have bad cramping. It could be that it’s related to my 2 previous c sections, as I’ve had a lot of problems since then (e.g. I never had painful periods before but have the second c section they have been horrible). Who knows. All I can do is wait and see! If nothing obviously awful happens in the next week or so I’m going to book a scan for 27th March. I actually don’t know how I am going to wait that long Grin.

brighteye3986 · 28/02/2019 13:49

Thanks @TheGruffalosLoveChild I'm sure they will be. They've been waiting a long time for this to happen. I'm hoping that my sleep pattern changes soon.

Leleophants · 28/02/2019 15:28

@Thumper59 Im3also worrying loads. Keep thinking I'm going to miscarry and it's terrifying. Also don't know if anything feels normal, so may tell some family soon for support as even if mc happens they can help and be understanding, then will know that we're at the stage of wanting a baby at least.

Leleophants · 28/02/2019 15:31

Also @brighteye3986 and @thumper59 we are the same dates!

HJWT · 28/02/2019 15:37

@ChesMum2019 why is that ? With DD I had NO symptoms at all and this time iv got all of them! Every pregnancy is different ! X

ChesMum2019 · 28/02/2019 15:48

With my previous pregnancies. I've thought I was a certain amount of weeks yet at the scan changed that. So I saying I'm about 5 weeks give or take a few days I think. I've had a few waves of nausea this afternoon. Thought it was hunger but just felt blah even after eating. I'm happy to get all the sickness if gives me if this pregnancy progresses

thumper59 · 28/02/2019 15:57

@Leleophants so exciting! Yeah it's very worrying I am the same. I think that's normal, symptoms keep coming and going for me too some days are better than the others

LKRJM · 28/02/2019 16:01

Thanks @TheGruffalosLoveChild I think I’ll have a look into one, I’m only 5+2 - my irregular cycles means I’ve had a few different due dates ranging from the 29th October - 5th November but my last period was 23rd January so going on that logic until told otherwise.

I do have symptoms so not too worried but when I have a few quiet hours or day I panic. Done a FRER and cheapie today and both so strong so fingers crossed we carry on nicely x

Needadoughnut · 28/02/2019 17:02

I have no symptoms from fatigue and baby head... Wondering if it's normal. Have you thought of doing the harmony tests? I'm hoping I'll be offered something with the NHS considering I'm high risk.

Hi everyone, just checking in (will catch up on the thread in a bit!)

4+6 today and first proper day of feeling lightheaded and weird at work, no sickness but not right either.

Had anyone else has trouble fitting in the midwife appt? Mine apparently only does booking in appt in the mornings when I'd be working (and not telling work yet!) I have managed to finally get an afternoon one at 6+4 weeks instead of 8 weeks which is quite early but the only time I can make it!

Waitingformyrainbow · 28/02/2019 19:08

@amehh hi, I'm the same so light headed today, I'm only 4+2, I've not had any nausea or sickness though, just a little cramping

ChesMum2019 · 28/02/2019 19:39

Anyone still a little crampy / backache ? I've had it since a few days before period was due comes and goes

thumper59 · 28/02/2019 19:54

@Leleophants I am a November baby myself, a Scorpio actually! All is true I fact I am a lefty too but I am not all that athletic 😂

Leleophants · 28/02/2019 20:36

@ChesMom2019 I am still crampy. The only way I can convince myself I'm actually pregnant.

@Thumper59 is baby's due date near you Birthday? That's funny! I wonder why November babies are generally bigger. Was trying to work out with the months/seasons but couldn't quite work out when that would make the difference.

brighteye3986 · 01/03/2019 05:24

@Leleophants it's good to have some buddies along the pregnancy journey.

I managed to sleep until 5am today but I have had 2 really long days previously so not sure if that is why.

We told our families our news last night. Everyone is so happy and ecstatic. I was prepared for my mum to cry but when we told my parents my dad burst into tears! I was so not prepared for that- neither were my sisters so we were all sat there in a blubbering mess!

Zarara · 01/03/2019 06:27

Hi can I join please, got a very feint bfp today, do really early days. I have a 2.5yr old already so excited about going from 1-2. My due date is the 11th.

When did everyone call and arrange the first booking in appointment with the midwife or doctor? I can’t remember who you have to see when.

thumper59 · 01/03/2019 07:20

@Leleophants very close! Baby due the 4th, I'm on the 7th 😀 I was very premature though I wasn't due till middle of December! I'm not sure why they're bigger? How weird! Maybe don't want to come out into the cold 😂

thumper59 · 01/03/2019 07:21

@Zarara good morning, welcome and congrats!! I did my referral online nearly as soon as I found out, they've sent me a green book and appointment through for end of March 😀
