@lucy2204 Things always do seem to go wrong just when you don't need them too! Pregnancy is enough stress to deal with without anything else. Have you had to have many extra scans then?
I worry because everything seems to be going so smoothly for me, which seems ridiculous and I should just be grateful that its all going so well! I will definitely ask my midwife when I next see her and see what she says about it.

lucy2204 · 12/02/2019 11:43

Ccec - yeah eve had 3 since our 20 week scan and have another two booked in before she comes once this month and the other at 38 weeks "/ were she's head down they've never been able to get a proper picture of her "/ they had a 5sec window to get her brain pic and lucky they managed it,they joke that she doesn't want to be seen -_- our scan pics are awful tbh 🤣this pregnancy is completely different to my first 😑😓😅I would of loved to have another normal pregnancy I've been ill pretty much throughout the whole thing -.- have you had extra scans?

OP posts:
Ccec · 12/02/2019 12:50

@lucy2204 Oh dear, looks like she's already planning on being a little madam :) No I haven't had any other than the standard 12 and 20 weeks ones, been measured twice so far and growing nicely along the 50th centile so no reason for extra scans so far.
Perhaps to make up for the pregnancy she will be a dream baby lol, my son was the perfect baby so I get the feeling i'm in for the opposite this time. Have you been to any antenatal classes yet? I think mine is booked for when im 34 weeks.

lucy2204 · 12/02/2019 13:12

Ccec - by the looks of it she will be ha just my luck -.- my son was the dream pregnancy and baby! She's the complete opposite 🤔 and Ive been to a few mother and bump baby clubs but their covering pretty much everything I know already, come from a big family and a dozen nieces and nephews "/ so had experience my whole life tbh "/, I have an appointment 28th about how/where I wna give birth, praying they let me have a home birth again as will have to give birth on my own in hospital :( have you decided what your planning on having? (Home/hospital)

OP posts:
Ccec · 13/02/2019 13:15

@lucy2204 I wasn't going to bother going to mine, not because i think i know it all but just because once you've had one you kind of know what you are doing lol. But i thought it might be chance to meet people as alot of my friends dont have/want kids.
Hopefully they will let you do what you want to, ive never considered having a home birth to be honest, i dont know why. With my son i had a third degree tear so although im praying to avoid that again id rather be in hospital incase anything like that does happen. So do all your family live quite far away?

lucy2204 · 13/02/2019 16:34

Ccec-i don't speak to my family at all tbh I class My partners family as mine now, and they all live around 3/4 hours away -.- so won't get here in time unless we get induced 🤔bumps dropped really low today
And had bh -.- how about you?you have everything sorted when it comes to you going into labour x

lucy2204 · 18/02/2019 08:23

Had another scan today babies growing small again, and we've lost fluid -.-it seem to be never ending 😩waiting to see what the midwife says to do.

OP posts:
Ccec · 18/02/2019 09:20

@lucy2204 I was literally just looking for this thread to reply, i couldnt find it over the weekend so i thought id try at work as its easier to do on the computer.
Oh no that's not good news at all, are you seeing the midwife to discus it today? The only good thing is at least they are picking up on it early and will be able to do what they need to for baby.
Hope you've got plenty of support, is your partner with you? x

lucy2204 · 18/02/2019 09:44

Ccec-i partner isn't with me as didn't think it was gna go like this we've lost a lot of fluid :( been on the monitor just waiting for a doctor to come see me and see what to do :( didn't even know I'd lost fluid, think we are looking at an induction tbh :(will update when I know more...
Hope your well xx

OP posts:
Ccec · 18/02/2019 12:56

I didn't realise it was possible but from alot of things ive read people manage to lose fluid and not be aware of it. Are you 34/35 weeks now? I'm all good thanks, plodding along slowly and got my next appointment Weds, will be nice as my son can come with me as its half term and hopefully listen to the heartbeat as he hasnt been around for any other appointments since he came to the 20 week scan.
Update when you can x

lucy2204 · 18/02/2019 14:59

Ccec - hey hun I'm 34 weeks 1 day, I've had to have steroid injections today and have to go back tomorrow for the 2nd round, will also have to be monitored for another 30 mins, then have a scan next week and if she has grown and go from there but there looking at an induction possibly a c-section depending on the scan :( just a bag of worries now, :(,

I'm sure he'll really enjoy that!,😍goodluck hun!, ♡everyone's getting so close now🙈xx

OP posts:
Ccec · 19/02/2019 12:40

Fingers crossed that the scan next week shows better news for you! I'm guessing the idea of having a home birth is completely off the cards now?
I'm sure everything will turn out for the best in the end and they are keeping an eye on everything which is the main thing, try not to worry too much :) I was out shopping last night and bumped into a lady whose little boy had been born at 26 weeks, he was now 6 months old but about the size of a newborn, it is amazing how these little babies defy the odds x

lucy2204 · 20/02/2019 22:23

Ccec - sorry for the late reply been trying to get everything in order,il be asking to be induced at 37/38 weeks on the 28th either way the scan goes "/ home birth is completely off the cards now,I wna be in the best possible place when I give birth especially with the way every thing is going atm,🤷‍♀️how's your pregnancy going so far?xx

OP posts:
Smilenow2008 · 21/02/2019 07:20

Hi ladies im 37+2 weeks. @Cces hope all goes ok next week. I finished my last evening in university last night so going to be working from home next few weeks, struggling with SPD especially worse last few weeks x

Ccec · 21/02/2019 19:05

@lucy2204
Hopefully things will go as smoothly as they possibly can in these next few days/weeks for you. Will you have to be in hospital on your own though?
All good with me, had a check up weds which was all normal, I feel bad sometimes cause everything seems to be going too smoothly for me! But of course I'm very grateful that it is going the way it is.
Still feels surreal that in a few weeks or so I'll have 2 children instead of just 1 x

lucy2204 · 22/02/2019 10:19

@Ccec - I'm going to be in labour on my own as no one can take time off to look after my first born :(everyone booked the last week of march off /first week of April-.- and we will be induced just before by the looks of it -.-,

I know I was saying the exact same to my partner im so excited yet also nervous 🙈I just can't wait to see her little face, and watch my son meet her 😍😍he's so excited now, keeps checking the car seat etc to see if it's been used 🙈🙈glad everything went well!, bet you have one excited boy at home waiting for her to come 😍😍 any signs of her coming early or nothing at all? ( yours was a girl to right🙈)xx

OP posts:
Ccec · 25/02/2019 08:50

How are you feeling about that? I know alot of people would actually prefer to be on their own, but it is nice to have the support of somebody there too. As long as baby is delivered safely im sure thats all that will matter in the end :)
Oh bless him, sounds like he's going to be the perfect big brother. Yeah my son is getting excited, i think it just feels like ive been pregnant forever for him, he always gives me a pat on the bump when he sees me and has given her various nicknames lol. It is indeed a girl :)
So far no signs that she might be early, but i did have my son at 37 weeks without any warning so i dont know if things might go the same way, although i am at work until 37 weeks so im hoping i can make it through to the start of my maternity leave! My family have so much going on in April (2 birthdays, 2 anniversarys) just when she is due so it will be interesting to see if she will be sharing any of those dates, especially as my birthday is in there too and i was hoping she'll be born so i can have a drink lol.
How has your weekend been? When have you got your next scan? x

lucy2204 · 26/02/2019 09:28

I'd honestly prefer to have him with me,but I know that might not happen! -.- I had a scan yesterday to see if the fluid has. Gone back up with lucky it has its baseline Now,so she can stay in without them taking action,I have an appointment on Thursday to discuss my opinions (if I want an induction or section)and then another scan on 4th to check her weight and growth 🙈then hopefully that will be it untill I go in for my induction, gives my bump a pat and nickname when ever he walks past I love that! 😍ohhh mine and my son's birthday is April to!!! 😍I originally thought she was can be over due and be an April baby to but she's having second thoughts about that phaha,my weekend has been okay, bh have really kicked in Now, starting to lose my mucus plug -.- hospital still isn't finished but I'm at the point were it's painful to walk so having order everything in, never had this with my son's pregnancy "/ how's your weekend been xx

OP posts:
Ccec · 26/02/2019 12:46

I'm sure he would rather be there too, maybe it will work out for you so that you wont have to be on your own. That's good news! I bet you were relieved to hear that, she's going to give you a head full of grey hairs before she's even born!
Haha it must be a very popular month, mine is on the 28th so if she did make it that far id be getting towards 2 weeks overdue so im hoping that wont be the case just because the thought of going overdue and reading alot of the threads i see on here it doesnt sound very fun. It very much sounds like she wants to be a March baby :)
Yeah i think ive been having BH too, i never did with my first did you? I think ive had them on and off for a while now but definately feel slightly more intense than they used to at times.
I think thats a sign you need to put your feet up and rest when you can. Does your son go to nursery? (and if ive already asked that please ignore me, my brain keeps forgetting so much nowadays!)
I had a really great weekend/week as it was half term and will no doubt be the last school hols with just me and my son unless she is overdue of course, we went out everyday and the weather made it even nicer to do so. By the next holidays it will be very different :)

lucy2204 · 26/02/2019 13:00

Hopefully 🙏the midwife joked about the grey hair to 🤣🤣to be fair my hair has grown a stupid amount since being pregnant 😍😍 our birthday are the 4th &22nd I went over with my son by 6 days,it was a night mare -.- and no he doesn't go nursery he starts September, the wether has been great hasn't it! 😍we had a lot of garden play with our son&dog this weekend 😍 it was just so nice out we're currently having our bathroom done so trying to get our son and dog out the house as much as possible (bathroom is down stairs) and we are playing to have a new garden fence putting up once she's here so in summer we can spend all our time in the garden, last summer was soo hot but couldnt enjoy it as was sick an pregnant -.-hoping this year will be the same! 😍plenty of bbqs!😍and no never had bh with our son he didn't show any signs of coming at all tbh 🤣she's completely different!,do you have a name etc picked out for her yet 🙆‍♀️🤷‍♀️xx

Hello! Sorry I never even replied to your last message ☺
I'm a couple weeks behind you but getting excited! I've got my antenatal class tonight, although if I make it is another story, my son has decided today to be ill and my mum completely forgot she is coming with me and had arranged to do something else 😂
Is it today you had another scan? X

lucy2204 · 04/03/2019 19:11

Ccec - it's fine hun,
Oooh goodluck (if you get to go)
Virus going around my house to so everyones ill -.-
Yes had a scan today baby has grown so no worries atm hoping to go full term with her she weighs 5lb 10oz so a little smaller than my first at this stage but she's growing so that's all that matters 🤷‍♀️say a doctor/head midwife today, she said for me to go ahead with a home birth if im still wanting it 🤷‍♀️ now I'm undecided on what I want 😂😅totally forgot you were behind in dates with me 🙈xx

Seems everyone else has log out of the post 🤷‍♀️so its just us talking 🤣xx

OP posts:
Ccec · 05/03/2019 08:15

I did manage to go luckily! And the class was being run by my midwife as she'd been roped into it last minute which was nice. It was nice to chat to other pregnant people in the flesh too lol.
Lets hope all illness is out of the way before these babies arrive, about 6 days after i had my son i had a horrible sickness bug that didnt make things very fun, can't think of anything worse than having a newborn and other poorly children/people to look after though.
That's fantastic news, have they said when you will need to make a decision by? Do you live far from the hospital incase you opted for a home birth but then needed to go in?
Maybe everyone is just busy packing bags and getting ready lol! Which is something i still need to do, i finally got round to buying some necessities like nappies and wipes at the weekend, these last few weeks really seem to be going quicker now.
x

lucy2204 · 05/03/2019 11:09

Ccec -that's good I'm glad you had a good time!,don't know wether we will be better as just lost my mucus plug today! 😍was up all night with pelvic pain, just waiting to hear back from the midwife on what to do, if anything as only 36 weeks 2 days 🤷‍♀️finally have my hospital bag done just need breast pads then I'm sorted 😍partner thinks she will be here within the next couple days and with the bh I've been having I kinda agree 🙈this pregnancy has gone super fast!!xx
