I’m 33 weeks with number 4 and my midwife asked last week if I was excited. I had to say quite honestly that I hadn’t had time to think about it, everyone in our house has been ill with flu for the last fortnight and we’ve just decided to move house within the next month so my brain is a bit preoccupied! I’m a bit worried that I haven’t had time to enjoy this pregnancy really, I was incredibly sick at the start and now have crippling pgp which is making doing anything really painful and slow going. I’m going to be a nightmare ball of stress for the next month trying to get everything organised. I had been nesting for a month or so, trying to clear out and reorganise everything for the baby but now we’re moving there doesn’t seem much point! I’m looking forward to getting settled in the new place and hoping that she follows her siblings and is two weeks late rather than daring to come early!

I will be 33 weeks on Wednesday but I will be having a section at around 34 weeks due to low fluid. I do however get the bored feeling, I've spent the last 3 weeks making sure I have everything for baby, washing all her stuff, cleaning the house and filling the freezer with easy meals. Now I have nothing left to do lol I will be going into hospital a week tomorrow for steroids and monitoring before my section and now with all these hours spare I'm just over thinking everything and starting to panic. I don't have any close friends and don't see my family much so feel pretty lonely too. Fingers crossed for a fast and exciting 7 weeks for you lol

Ccec · 10/02/2019 18:59

31 weeks here with number 2 but know how you feel. My 1st is 11 so pretty independent and not taking up all my time. I've brought all the big baby items, nearly washed all the clothes so only need one more shopping trip to buy little things really. I've been de-cluttering the house and dressing my dog up in baby clothes for something to do 😂 have you got everything prepared ready for baby?

lucy2204 · 10/02/2019 20:19

AwkwardAsAllGetout - goodluck with the move 😍 dont think id be able to do it with such little time left!,been on my feet constantly this pregnancy,I'm also nesting! Never had it with my first! Our first was 6 days late, but all girls born in our family have been earlier hoping she cooks for a little longer her due day is mothers day so praying she stays put till then!

@lucy2204 up till now the pregnancy was lovely, then at a growth scan at 29 weeks they found I had no fluid. You would think I would have noticed my waters breaking lol they think the placenta might be starting to break down so they want to keep an eye on things. I say the rest was lovely, the first trimester was a nightmare haha but the 8 weeks after were a dream.
I have 4 children already so worrying and getting emotional about leaving them but there isn't much I can do about it.
It will be nice to finally meet my little lady and I can not wait to have my body back and feeling human, I just hope she doesn't have to spend too long in nicu

lucy2204 · 10/02/2019 23:39

We had a low growth at 38 weeks but she shot up, I was so scared/worried as never faced it with ds1:( we still haven't gotten anyone to watch our 1st born as everyone lives far away "/ so hoping for a home birth if not will prob have to do it by myself as no one would get here in time:( our first was born within 48 mins of my waters breaking so hoping she's just as fast 🤣🤞(then I can have home birth) my niece was born 6 weeks early and was home 5 days later 🤷‍♀️hopefully yours is the same case, she was pretty heavy for a baby born so early she was 5lb 6oz 😐 do you have everything ready for her to come home 😍? I bet her siblings are sooo excited! Our 1st born is over excited and comes and checks every morning to see if she's here yet! 🤣even tho when he first saw her via scan he cried and then cried again when he found out it was a girl like mummy and not a boy like him and daddy 🤣🤣🤣but he seems to have come around 🤗

Baby seems to be growing amazingly well at 31 weeks she was measuring 4.16lbs so she should hopefully be a good size. They are planning to admit me then give steroids so that should also help. I'm really lucky my mum, brother and sister are close by if I need them I just don't see them much as they all work full time. I really hope you get your home birth. My last one arrived in 6 minutes start to finish, we were both in shock haha
My lot would have loved another boy (we currently have 2 of each) but they are OK with a girl now even if they hate the name I've chosen lol aww how old is your little boy? I'm sure he will be a great big brother.
I think I'm pretty much ready now all I really need is a bath and some of the ready made formula bottles for the hospital but I've been putting off getting them as if she goes to nicu she probably won't need them. Have you got much left to get?

Ccec · 11/02/2019 09:26

@lucy2204 My dog was not impressed either, but it is her fault for being perfect baby clothes size haha.
My son was exactly the same when we went to the scan and found out it was a girl, he's always wanted a brother since he was little and as the years went by i didnt think i would have another so after the initial shock of finding out i was pregnant he thought he might finally get his brother. But he has come around to the idea now, he even looks at her clothes and says how cute they are. And as i am not with the dad he gets to keep his status as man of the house :)
Do you work? I've been counting down the weeks to maternity leave as a way of making the time go faster, although im not actually looking forward to the giving birth part. Is anybody else more nervous even though they know they've done it before? I'm also slightly sad that i know this will be my last child so i should enjoy being pregnant, especially as its been such an easy pregnancy so far!

lucy2204 · 11/02/2019 10:47

Sorry mine was meant to say 28 weeks **

Exhaustedmummy1811- our son is 2 he's 3 April 4th and she's due 31 March so praying she doesn't go over -.- don't think he will be to happy later on in life having to share all his important birthdays with her as just under a 3 year age gap!, but not much I can do if it happens :( and not really a few bits just nappies and dummies and cotton balls but we have everything else 😍

Ccec - at least he still gets to keep his title,he's at the age where he can really enjoy having another baby in the house and help a little 😉🤣, I was on zero hour when I found out I was pregnant and as soon as I notified them they fired me 😐and my partner got fired at 27 weeks -.- just had our last pay from his work as they were refusing to give it up so had it drip feed to us so have to make a claim for uc on Wednesday ☹dreading it heard nothing but bad stories but you gotta do what you have to do when your a parent
partners been looking constantly for a decent paying job,but hasn't found anything in the area we live in so he's thinking we should move areas once she's a couple months old if he still hasn't gotten anything :( #1 stressed mother.
I'm dreading Labour think it's cause deep down if I don't have a home birth I have to do it on my own :(

Any of you girls doing the cord blood donations? We did with our sons and are looking at doing it with hers!,they help so many people out 😍

Hi I am 34 weeks tomorrow and wish I was bored lol! Have another 3 weeks left of work and still so much to do and organise. Its also my second baby - my son is only 11 months lol so thankfully all the newborn stuff is easy to get out, just have to wash and clean it all and give the house a deep clean. Also still have bits to buy and pack my hospital bag!
Havent fully made my mind up but Im likely to go for an elective at 39 weeks. I have a check up and scan next week so will decide by then.
We dont know the gender of our baby, so excited to find out!
Thankfully had an easy enough pregnancy so far. Had low iron but tablets have helped. My main pain has been sciatica in my right bum cheek.
Sh*tting myself at how I will manage with a newborn and 1 year old! Last few weeks have been finding it physically tough and guilty that I dont have the energy for my son but do what I can.

lucy2204 · 11/02/2019 13:20

blondeirishmummy84 - my older sister had girls 1 year 3 days apart 😓😮she said it was only hard the first couple weeks as the 1 year old felt left out but there 6 and 7 now and are best of friends!
I also had low iron -.- tables actually made me sick and gave me dirreaha (sorry for the tmi) I didn't know you could ask to be induced or you on about a c section? 🤔
My pregnancy has been full of illness tbh 🤣she's been a little madam!😂😍

I'm 33 weeks and on the countdown too! Been off work for the past three weeks with a combination of sickness and holidays. Been loaded with the cold so literally just been in bed resting.

Can't wait to feel better and get back to baby preparing but feel like I still have some time to go.

Hope you're all doing good x

lucy2204 · 11/02/2019 13:51

Starrygirl12 - our due dates must be the around the same time if not the same day!! 😍😍I've just gotten over a horrid cold -.- she became more active the worst I felt,so didn't get to relax 🤣 is this your first or had babies before? Hope you feel better soon hun!! Xx

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 11/02/2019 13:55

I had the midwife this morning, she just scared me even more haha I have tried to look at the positives but she was intent on making sure I knew how serious my current situation is so now I'm worrying even more. Not to mention she said I will probably be in the hospital 2 weeks before section and 4 weeks after, that's such a long time away from my other children. I'm very teary and emotional today 😕

lucy2204 · 11/02/2019 14:04

Exhaustedmummy1811 - my midwife sounds just like yours, there ment to put your mind at rest yet seem to take joy in making your worry!! I'm sure everything will be fine, baby will prob shock you at how strong she is!,are you aloud visitors at all? I hated staying in hospital over night :( so don't know how I'd cope for 6 weeks! You might be surprised that you won't be in there long!it all depends on the care you and baby receive once she's here, are you with a good hospital? Or bad reviews? I'm currently with a rubbish one -.-

OP posts:
Starrygirl12 · 11/02/2019 16:12

@lucy2204 I'm due the 31.03! What about you? Aww it's awful isn't it? Glad your cold is better! Are you ready for baby? Thanks hopefully it will soon don't feel anywhere near organised yet! I'm a first time mum what about yourself? Xxx

lucy2204 · 11/02/2019 16:24

Starrygirl12 - same due date whoop!
Second child for me 😍I bet your so excited 😍😍😍we're already!,she's been low(head down) since 14 weeks so doctors think she might be early, one can only hope ah! Do you have a name and that picked out ? What you having boy? Girl? Xxx

OP posts:
Starrygirl12 · 11/02/2019 16:35

@lucy2204 ha ha you are the first person I've found with same due date 😂 that's lovely 😃 that's good the baby is showing as low maybe you will go early and won't be bored anymore! 😃 mine is still breech 🤦‍♀️😂 have you started maternity leave? We are so excited can't wait! I bet you are looking forward to another wee one joining your family 😍

We don't know what it is have kept
It a surprise! We like violet for a girl and I love Tobias for a boy! What about you? Xxx

Starrygirl12 · 11/02/2019 16:36

@lucy2204 scratch that just noticed you said girl!! Do you have a name picked? Xx

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 11/02/2019 16:47

@lucy2204 luckily the hospital I am with has just been voted the best in the East Midlands so I'll take some comfort in that. I will be allowed visitors but it's over an hour from my home and with everyone having to swap work shifts to accommodate child care and everyone not being too pleased about it, I won't see them very much. Once a week if I'm lucky.
Midwife said at the 34 weeks she may not feed properly so need a feeding tube and will probably struggle to keep her body temperature stable. They think her lungs should be fine so shouldn't need help with breathing but we won't know for sure till she is here.

lucy2204 · 11/02/2019 18:12

Starrygirl12 - we have we have decided on an uncommon but meaning full name will upload on this when she's here as dont want it being stolen phahah! 🤣😂Love the name violet!😍our babies are mixrace so we try to go for names that will suit them 😍from both our back rounds xx

Exhaustedmummy1811 - ahh that's poo! You'll have to make sure you have plenty of data on your phone and watch films or something :( will they let you take her for little walls or defo not? :( will have my fingers crossed that you aren't in there that long with baby! Xx

OP posts:
Ccec · 11/02/2019 18:35

@lucy2204 oh no that's not what you want especially right now! Hopefully your claim will go fine, that's what it's there for though is for people like you who really need it. There are plenty of people out there getting away with claiming benefits when they aren't entitled to them.
I've honestly never thought about the cord blood donation, I had a quick Google, is that something that can only be done at certain hospitals? I normally give blood myself as I feel its such an important thing to do if you can, I was mildly annoyed when they kept calling me asking me to donate when I first found out I was pregnant and felt guilty because you can't do it while pregnant lol

lucy2204 · 11/02/2019 18:54

Ccec - I know just feel shitty for having to go on it as didn't have to when we had our first just seems everything went wrong as soon as we got pregnant "/ .both lost our jobs scans weren't going well as baby wouldn't show anything! -.- you can ask your midwife or check on line I'm sure it will somewhere online "/ I will defo do it again, I didn't know about it till I had my baby and they ask if I wanted to donate, uno looking at your new born and thinking of all the people you could both help with just giving it away for other babies and people 🤷‍♀️better than chucking it in the bin "/ xx

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 12/02/2019 09:38

No once she is born she will stay in nicu or scbu until she can come home. I'm just hoping she is perfectly healthy and we won't be in long. I'm getting more emotional as the week goes on about being away from my other 4 babies but is it wrong that a very small part of me is saying, wahoo no cleaning, cooking, school runs or temper tantrums lol I can sleep when I want and just enjoy the peace quiet haha I feel guilty even thinking it!

lucy2204 · 12/02/2019 11:15

Exhaustedmummy1811 - ahh 👎hopefully you get to bring her home asap!,I suppose that's the plus side!, I only have one child but there's always so much cleaning to do! -.-
