Thanks for the welcome @mrsof20118 @sullywifey @kileah18 @sunshine1987 @ninunina @dragonmummy17

Welcome @whoopsies and congratulations!

@aileenr welcome and congrats! Thanks for saying about your faint tests turning stronger, mine yesterday wasn't any stronger than the first test the day before, so I've been scared to repeat today in case it's still faint and worries me!

@kileah18 I'm so early on I'm sure it can't be pg related but I made breakfast this morning then didn't want it at all. Then at lunch I was totally off my food as well. No sickness, just no appetite. I love food! It's weird!

@milly2000 I've heard creamy discharge or more than normal can be normal. It's trying to protect the insides! I've been totally dry though, which I've found super strange.

@fae1989 I plan to test again in a few dsys rather than every day. I did a CB yesterday after 2 faint FRERS which showed 1-2 weeks so I'd like to wait long enough to show 3-4 weeks then I'll be happy!

@sullywifey they do say sickness is a good sign! Haha omg twins... Lol!

dragonmummy17 · 01/12/2018 20:08

I'm getting the discharge too. I'm driving myself crazy running to the toilet every 5 minutes to check what's happening. When I was pregnant with DS I had bleeding and spotting from 5w to 16w and I found it really stressful... hoping it doesn't happen this time

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 20:09

@Whoopsies - very wise words!! I think we put a lot of emphasis on lines, when they appear, darkness etc. We're all different so I guess that factors into line darkness etc. My friend just had a baby girl and she didn't get a faint positive on a test until over a week after she was due on! ...Congratulations by the way :) we're all here to support each other if you need to talk about anything. We can all appreciate how anxious it feels.

@MrsH1990 - Indeed!

I know what you mean...dare I fork out for another test haha?!
I thought about having one of those scans - I've never had one before though and no idea what to expect! Let us know how you get on :) x

Crossfitgirl · 01/12/2018 20:13

Sorry for the essay! Haha.
Ok so.... Is anyone else having ridiculously stupid thoughts? For example, yesterday my tummy hurt a little every time I coughed and I worried coughing too hard might disturb something.
Then I worried that my jeans are too tight so I undid a button to stop it pressing on my tummy!

I feel far more anxious right now than I did when ttc, which seems so silly as that can't do any good, but I can't help it! I keep running to the bathroom to check im not spotting or bleeding, and actually that's my only reassurance at the moment.

I feel so much like I do when I get AF cramps (but it's a lot more crampy down there!) That I'm sure AF could really appear any minute!

I've downloaded the calm app and doing some mindfulness to help, as if anything did go wrong, I know it's completely out of my control anyway.

Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling a bit mental like this?

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 20:14

@Crossfitgirl - Hello :) and welcome (I've been out of the loop so didn't know whether you were new!) wise words again! How far along are you? I think symptoms can start at any time from about four weeks, from what i've read. I also read about HCG levels increasing every couple of days so I think you're spot on to wait a few in between. It's comforting to see the weeks indicator increase, definitely!

@Dragonmummy17 - We're with you! I guess each pregnancy is different but the fact that we all seem to be having the same symptom must say something, it's reassuring me :) x

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 20:20

@Crossfitgirl - sorry, only just seen your other message. Sorry you're feeling this way. I think it's normal to feel like it and definitely with you on that! It's such a tentative time and I've realised why people get to 12 weeks and breathe a bit of a sigh of relief.

I read today that after 6 weeks the chances of miscarriage start to decrease and that helped me. I've tried to just take my mind off things and literally take each day as it comes; I can't see another way to deal with it. I haven't let myself get excited yet.

I know it's hard but try not to get stressed about it (easier said than done). Is this your first? I sometimes do the meditation videos on YouTube by The Honest Guys - they're really cheesy but I find they help. I've looked up things to decrease risk of miscarriage and determined that it's largely out of our control but if you can keep your stress levels down and find headspace to chill it can only be a good thing. x

Crossfitgirl · 01/12/2018 20:20

@fae1989 thank you - I am new, only joined last night! I'm only 3+6 today so very early. It was an usually shorter cycle for me though. I have one FRER and one more CB digi so may do the FRER on Wednesday and the digi on Friday.

It's so nice to see how other people are feeling, we're all so close together in date!
Glad the discharge seems normal to others too! How far along are you?

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 20:22

Sorry for the essay as well - I think when you're thinking about something so much your mind can play tricks on your body too. I've definitely had some twingy pains as well - a lot of the pregnancy symptoms mimic AF ones so it's kind of a reassurance as well as not if that makes sense x

Crossfitgirl · 01/12/2018 20:25

@fae1989 thanks, and you are completely right, I know there is absolutely nothing I can do except wait it out, but I'm definitely doing lots of mindfulness and I'm going to continue the reflexology I started (only 3 weeks since, for fertility!! Haha)

I'm anxious as I had low progesterone on my day 21 blood test which I've been told carries a higher risk of MC, but actually been told on another thread that people who've had it pre conception have had no problems in pregnancy so I do feel better about that.

Yes it's my first so all new to me! Xx

Crossfitgirl · 01/12/2018 20:26

Keep cross posting 😂

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 20:26

Ah no worries :) everyone on here is so lovely and I've not come across a person yet who isn't supportive or willing to help! It's really nice.

I think you're right to wait a few days to re-test. I find waiting with the digital ones is key otherwise if they don't show 'pregnant' your heart sinks, despite knowing it's probably just too early. Sounds like your HCG levels are promising if you're testing positive now though. I didn't get a positive on a supermarket test until the day after AF was due and I couldn't quite believe my eyes!!

I'm either 4+5 or 4+4 (depending on which App I use) so just willing to get to 6 and I might get one of those early scans to put my mind at ease :)

dragonmummy17 · 01/12/2018 20:28

@Crossfitgirl I worry like that too... you're not the only one. DS kicked me low down in the stomach yesterday and that worried me too.
@Fae1989 its good to know that others have the same!

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 20:31

@Crossfitgirl - I keep doing the same haha!

Ah what's reflexology like? I've always wanted to try that!

That's reassuring re other experiences and progesterone. If it worries you you can always mention to your GP/Midwife? I've only ever read about it being an issue with conception (i.e. if your luteal phase isn't long enough).

We will get there :)

Noopey · 01/12/2018 20:32

Anyone else getting cramping? I think I’m 4 +5. And have been cramping last 3 days. I know it says everywhere that this is normal but I can’t help but worry.

EverythingNow · 01/12/2018 20:41

@Noopey I am, not all the time but a couple times a day. I've had before with my eldest and I definitely thought AF was coming anyway. Try to think positive that there's just lots going on down there xx

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 20:47

@Noopey - same here, every so often. It's so frustrating that the symptoms can be so similar isn't it? I agree with @EverythingNow - it's all changing and stretching etc and cramping is definitely a symptom. I've tried to look out for symptoms I don't get before AF and the only one I can spot that's different is one boob hurting not both!! Bodies are weird...chin up :)

Crossfitgirl · 01/12/2018 20:50

@noopey yes, I've been getting Lots of Af- like cramps and some nipping twinges. It's meant to be normal in the early stages I'm told?

@dragonmummy17 oh I'd worry about that too! Although the baby is only the size of a poppy seed at the mo so I'm sure it's far more protected by our bellies than we think!

@fae1989 I had an unusually short cycle this time (23 days predicted) as I ovulated quite a lot sooner than usual, and my LP was short - usually only between 9-11 days. So I tested at 12dpo so was actually a day late when I tested!

Even the midwife said it was an early test when I rang to make my appointment! Lol.

Reflexology is amazingly relaxing. I can't wait to tell her I'm pregnant! I hope I can still have it!! Lol

Kileah18 · 01/12/2018 20:52

Atleast we are all getting the CM so I’ll take it as a positive 😊 I wear a Fitbit and my heart rate is so fast? It’s usually around 60-80 now it’s been 118 most of the day and around the same this week!

@MrsH1990 my skin is so gross at the moment! Skin is usually so clear it’s crazy all the things that is happening 🙏

Noopey · 01/12/2018 20:56

Thanks all. Gosh this MN thread is amazing. Hasn’t joined in my first to pregnancies. So great to get support from people at the same stage.

Kileah18 · 01/12/2018 20:59

Oops looks like a didn’t refresh the page 🙈 sorry everyone i wasn’t being rude 😬

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 21:02

@Crossfitgirl - I think as long as it's longer than 10 days it's ok? I thought mine was short a few times this year. Ah I might have to try it! Let me know if you can still have it :)

@Noopey- we are all here for each other. These forums are a godsend!!

@Kileah18 - wow that's increased! I wonder if it's the extra blood circulating that makes the heart rate higher? My skin is gross too, I'm googling natural ways to calm it down! So far it's my only definitive symptom - my skin hasn't been this bad for a while!!

Kileah18 · 01/12/2018 21:11

@Fae1989 yeah it’s a little weird all week it’s been higher after looking on my Fitbit app, Googled it & it’s normal apparently going to tell my doctor on Monday moving GP surgeries so I’m hoping I’ll get a good doc 🤞

@Crossfitgirl reflexology sounds amazing think I’ll ask for this as a Xmas pressie 😁

Has anyone told people yet?

Fae1989 · 01/12/2018 21:16

@Kileah18 - I'm sure it is normal..our bodies are starting to do bizarre things!! Fingers crossed you get a nice doctor :) do you have to visit your GP to get your booking in appointment or just call up? I've made an appointment but not sure I even needed to. I'm such a newb! (ps no one thought you were being rude, I totally forget to refresh all the time or I take so long to type it that my reply probably doesn't even make sense, sorry folks!!)

Doesn't it just sound great - I need relaxation in my life haha!

I've told my mum, partner and one person at work. Keeping quiet until a bit further on. What about you ?

Kileah18 · 01/12/2018 21:28

@Fae1989 its crazy how the human bodies work 😂 I have no idea what I’m doing either I rang my original doctors they didn’t have an available date until the Christmas week! So I decided to move & go to hubbys doctor (I didn’t change my details after getting married) his doctors is much closer to home etc. I’m just going to arrive up & register and ask for the next available appointment with who ever I think lol!!

I’ve just told my hubby & two best friends I just found out on Thursday night! I’m kind of scared to tell my mum 😂 I still think I feel like a child. I’m kinda young, I’m 24 got married in June been with hubby since we were kids & bought a house at 21 so I really don’t know what I’m worried about 🙈
