@avacadooo I have been having really fast heart rate and keep feeling not with it and almost faint yeah I guess kinda drunk feeling actually. I have midwife tomorrow so will see what she's says. Hope you're feeling bit better are you able to get snuggled up in bed and have a chill out for the evening? I'm also 5+1 xx

newmumma2019 · 12/12/2018 19:55

Apologies previous message should say thanks everyone*

Ninunina · 12/12/2018 20:09

@avacadooo take it easy! Your body can change quite a lot in pregnancy. Sometimes we need to take a step back and rest.

I was just googling to see what the cause of blood outside my uterus could be, and one thing that came up was heavy lifting in early pregnancy. A couple of days before the spotting started I had lifted several really heavy Christmas hampers. I feel so guilty now. I won't be lifting anymore, not after my doctor really emphasized the importance of taking it easy.

Blii · 12/12/2018 20:58

Great news Ninunina!
I’ve been having a little bit on nausea, I’m not sure if I’m feeling sick because I am hungry though or what!?
I feel the nausea again only about half hour after eating. I think I need to nibble all day.
Apart from that there arnt any other symptoms apart from the extreme tiredness!
I also have a pretty bad cold, I lost my voice and now today I am sooo bunged up! I’m not sure if it’s the cold making me feel sick or the pregnancy.
Not sure when to get in contact with gp, I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I’m still very anxious it’s all going to end though so I don’t want to book anything yet.

KMic · 12/12/2018 21:03

Evening all ... just been out for a meal with my friends ... so incredibly bloated now it is unreal!!!! Also shattered. Nice early night for me I think as out again tomorrow eve! We are out Saturday eve with some of hubs family ... no idea how I am going to hide the not drinking ... think I'll go with the antibiotics ... they'll be easier to fool than my work colleagues on Monday's night out!! What a silly time of year to fall pregnant! Haha

Lothirial · 12/12/2018 21:23

I found out the day before my works xmas do. Bt i have been known to get migraines so told everyone i wasnt drinking as it helps to not get migraines :)

KMic · 12/12/2018 21:28

I just don't want anyone to find out before I have told my parents ... I want them to be first to know! I just hope that if anyone does notice they don't say anything! I'll just laugh it off if they do...

CalmerComber · 12/12/2018 21:38

Metronidazole are the antibiotics you absolutely can’t drink on. I used this many times with DD where I was in the early days over a summer of 4 weddings! Used to say I had a wisdom tooth infection. At one wedding I managed to hold the same glass of champagne for 3 hours without drinking any!

dragonmummy17 · 12/12/2018 21:49

@milly2000 I also have a 25 day cycle and I don't know which to use as my due date. They adjust it at the 12 week scan anyway so I'm keeping my options open until my midwife appointment.
@avacadooo pregnant bodies do crazy things! I hope you can take it easy for a bit

EverythingNow · 12/12/2018 21:56

@dragonmummy17 and @milly2000 I have a 26 day cycle which I proactively mentioned to gp when he looked my due date up on the NHS website.
My last AF was 31/10 and my due date is 5/8. I also got a bfp pretty early at 8dpo or 3wks2days so I wonder whether that will affect the dating scan! My babies are always 2 weeks late though!

milly2000 · 12/12/2018 22:13

@EverythingNow @dragonmummy17 I have an early scan next Tuesday so that my give me a bit of an idea even though it will be very early.

Might sound silly but the extras days do make me feel a bit more relaxed for some reason.

dragonmummy17 · 12/12/2018 22:37

@EverythingNow @milly2000 NHS website gives my due date as 4th August but everything else says 7th. If the doctors are using the NHS website then maybe I should! I know what you mean about extra days milly I feel the same!

Whoopsies · 13/12/2018 06:57

Morning all!! I'm 5+6 here and nausea seems to have hit! Not too bad yet, but not enjoying it!! 6 weeks tomorrow and then just a week until my scan to check everything is ok. After that the first person I will tell is my sister, she's due her 1st in March so will be so excited that they are getting a new cousin close in age!
Hope everyone else is feeling ok!

marajade12 · 13/12/2018 07:03

How is everyone else’s morning sickness? I’m 5w 5d and have spent the last 10 mins being very sick. Don’t know how I’m going to get through work today 🤢

Ninunina · 13/12/2018 07:07

Good morning @Whoopsies ! Sorry to hear the dreaded nausea has hit. I'm still not feeling too bad. I had such awful sickness with the other pregnancies, this feels weird. I get night nausea and the occasional "omg I'm going to throw up on someone suddenly feeling", but so far haven't actually been sick. I'm also not off tea, coffee or wine. I couldn't touch the stuff with the others, but I am still really enjoying the occasional cup of decaf coffee. I even had a few sips of wine to avoid too many questions at a dinner last week. I could easily have drank the whole glass. With DD1 and DD2 alcohol felt like acid in my mouth. I couldn't even take a sip.

Bakingabean · 13/12/2018 07:13

Morning!

I'm 7+1 today and bloody sick of feeling nauseous all day. Have invested in sickness bands which seem to help a bit.. I'm also very grumpy (hormonal or because I'm feeling pretty rubbish) and I feel bad for DP who has to put up with me. I can't even have him get too close at night because I get hot so quickly!

To carry on with the moan.. (sorry).. I'm really not sleeping well either- waking up at least once a night a lying there for hours until I fall asleep again. Ladies with kids already, please tell me it gets better?!

Belle2008 · 13/12/2018 08:59

I hardly have any symptoms it's worried me so I've booked a scan for next week 🤞

Brownzy · 13/12/2018 09:20

I don't really have any symptoms either but then I don't think I got any until I was 7/8 weeks last time

KMic · 13/12/2018 09:24

@Belle2008 @Brownzy ... my nausea has subsided quite a lot the last couple of days - no actual sickness yet. If it wasn't for feeling bloated and just knowing I am pregnant, I wouldn't know! Haha. Enjoying it whilst it lasts!

Old wives tales say that more sickness means you're having a girl .... less means a boy ... will be interested to see if that proves true for you super sicky ones xx

Blii · 13/12/2018 09:40

It’s strange how it makes us feel so sick. And how no one has figured out why.
I havnt had any food aversions yet. Also occasionally when eating I feel I could easily throw up.
I went out for a works Christmas meal last night, it was all pre ordered and I had ordered a Prosecco so I drank that but just water after that for me. And no more drink, I’m not a big drinker anyway so I’m not worried about making excuses for that.
And bloating.... I am sooo bloated! I look about 6 months already haha but it’s not hard like a pregnant bump.
Is anyone else windy? Confused

QueenofFox · 13/12/2018 09:42

I've been having no symptoms at all and then suddenly today so very sick. Wasn't sick at all with my others (both girls) but feel like I have the worst hangover of my life. Have a massive team away day planning meeting and not sure how I'm going to get through it!

tri2mum · 13/12/2018 09:46

Hi everyone,

Just been catching up with all new comments and hoping for a bit of support. Had a bit of a bad day yesterday, after having brown discharge since Saturday when wiping I passed a clot yesterday. Spoke to the midwife and she said this can still be normal and if I have anymore symptoms to book in with the doc to get a referral to the EPU. After an initial couple of hours of feeling pretty low I picked myself up and tried to stay positive which was working until this morning when I passed another clot and now have period pain like cramps. I know everyone is different and things can still be good and I've got the appointment to get the referral this afternoon, just feel like I need a bit of a hand hold.

Ninunina · 13/12/2018 09:57

Oh @tri2mum! I'm sorry to hear that you're so worried. I understand where you're coming from, I was dead scared yesterday after seeing some fresh blood, but amazingly there was a little bean with a heartbeat, so there may still be some hope. What size was the clot?

Chocolate89 · 13/12/2018 09:57

Fantastic news @ninunina! So delighted for you. ❤ V cute about your dh too. Can't wait for my scan next wed now 😊
@avacadooo take it easy dear! This stage is a pretty high stress time, esp will xmas round the corner! Hopefully it all settles. Have you ever had high bp before? It won't be anything to do with the pregnancy thats causing it anyway which is good, other than maybe the stress! That's all to do with the placenta after 20 weeks, so don't be googling and scaring yourself 😂 it should all settle xxx
@whoopsies you poor thing, oyrs awful when it hits like a ton of bricks like that! Mind yourself xxx
Anyone else getting the dreaded constipation??
