Mine was on my right, but yes similar to a stitch pain but more instant. I'm 5+2. I guess it's just the body changing and preparing.

Whoopsies · 12/12/2018 15:33

Not this time round, but I remember having really bad pains on my left side when I was pregnant with ds. Everything was fine, like you say I think it was just stretching etc.

newtoallthis101 · 12/12/2018 15:48

Just found out I'm pregnant with a due date date 08/08. It would appear there's an NHS baby boom as that's where I work too

KMic · 12/12/2018 16:05

Congrats @newtoallthis101 ... welcome to the group! Is this your first?!

Ninunina · 12/12/2018 16:09

Hi everyone, I haven't read through today's thread but I thought I'd check in quickly just to say that I had my appointment and the little bean is still there and we even saw a little heart beat. I'm measuring 5-6weeks, so a few days less than I thought, but that makes sense because I've always had long cycles. I'll catch up with everything later because I need to drive home, but wanted to let you guys know first (since I have not told anyone else yet).

newtoallthis101 · 12/12/2018 16:32

Yes this is my first all a bit surreal and scary!! I've had a scan already due to some pain but couldn't see much just a little gestational sack with a yolk. Got a rescan on the 17th to hopefully see a heartbeat. Is what number baby is this for everyone else

mrsof20118 · 12/12/2018 16:33

That's great news @Ninunina did they say what the measurement was in mm? So pleased you saw a heartbeat x

KMic · 12/12/2018 16:41

Fab news @Ninunina so pleased for you!!

@newtoallthis101 baby number 1 for me too! First pregnancy and first month of trying so a bit she'll shocked! Friends told me it could take months so I wasn't expecting to fall on the first try!!

IrishCypriot · 12/12/2018 16:43

@Ninunina so happy for you!

@newtoallthis101 welcome, sounds like the nhs will be under an August pressure as well as the usual winter pressures haha

Ninunina · 12/12/2018 17:36

He didn't say anything about measurements @mrsof20118 . My doctor doesn't tend to give out too much information. All he told me was that there is an inter uterine pregnancy that measures between 5-6 weeks and that he could see a heart beat. He doesn't know where the bleeding is coming from but he could see blood outside the uterus, not inside. He has put me on progesterone, & something for my thyroid. Hopefully it will stop the bleeding. He advised to take it easy and he has also said I have a high risk pregnancy because of a uterine tear and cervical tear after a failed VBAC with DD2 that resulted in an EMCS. He said I will be admitted to hospital for the last few weeks and will have an ELCS at 36 weeks gestation. I might also need a cervical stitch so it sounds like I'm not going to be in for an easy pregnancy. Quite a lot to take in, but I was expecting him to say that I miscarried, so I'm still thrilled. Fingers crossed that the little bean stays put.

Notanotherpawpatrol · 12/12/2018 17:52

@Ninunia so pleased. I hope it's a fairly uneventful pregnancy, but glad they are looking after you :)

Cardi86 · 12/12/2018 17:54

@Ninunina great news!
Thank you all for your recommendations on sleeping arrangements. Think I’ll try a Moses basket beside the bed and see how we go. This might sound stupid but can you feed in the dark or would you need to put the light on to see what’s happening?!!

AIBeans · 12/12/2018 17:54

Hi everyone!
Not been on for a bit, hope everyone is ok and congrats to all the new people on their bfp!
Hubby and I are away this week so been nice to get away and recharge.
How are people doing? I’m thinking of booking a 7 week scan just for reassurance but I don’t know!!!

clairelee17 · 12/12/2018 18:38

I'm 6+1, but booked a private scan on Friday when I read @Ninunia post about seeing a heartbeat today. I can't wait any longer and quite apprehensive about the whole thing. Plus, I'm so bloated, I look about 12 weeks pregnant as it is. So if there's a heartbeat, at least I don't have to hide it over Christmas, because my family will undoubtedly say something!

newmumma2019 · 12/12/2018 18:56

Hey everyone! New mum and new to this but have found some chats so useful! I am 7 + 4. MC in September so very anxious and worried about every twinge! Apologies if have missed in the feed but have been getting stretching feelings across my uterus area. Anyone else experiencing this? TIA

canonlyhopexo · 12/12/2018 18:57

@IrishCypriot oh can you imagine if we lived across the road from each other that'd be hilarious! I do wonder sometimes if I could be talking to someone I know just under a random username. I still haven't done that wrapping I was just chilling out in bed last night while DP was out, I caught up with a bit of tele. My midwife appointment is tomorrow! Don't really know what to expect. How you feeling today? I still feel a bit emotional and like I could just start crying any minute now lol but I do feel knackered. Also gagging so much today!

Hope everyone has had a good day and everyone's feeling good in themselves xx

Cardi86 · 12/12/2018 18:58

I’m the same @clairelee17- I’m so bloated I really look pregnant! I have a scan next Monday eek! I think I’ll tell my mom at Christmas but not sure about telling DH’s family yet. I almost feel like once I tell people the magic will be over and it will become real!

AIBeans · 12/12/2018 19:00

@clairelee17 I feel the same! I’m thinking if all is ok I’d be happy telling parents on Christmas. Just want to know all is ok really. Oh gosh the bloat! I’m only 5+3 weeks and so bloated I can’t hide it!
@newmamma2019 this is my first but have had cramps pretty much none stop, think it’s normal!?

stylix1981 · 12/12/2018 19:16

Hey everyone, great news @Ninunina

I also work for NHS neva mentioned it before but as there are a few others i thought why not.

Went for a scan today due to pains i was having that didnt seem connected to current issues, have been dated at 6wks so not further on than we thought. Saw the lil bean on the screen along with the heartbeat so magical.

Feel a little more relieved to know there is a heartbeat, partner so excited he bought the pic even tho it just looks like a little blob lol

CalmerComber · 12/12/2018 19:18

Such a relief @Ninunina

Re: sleeping - a sidecar cot (we had Chicco Next 2 Me) was the best thing I bought. It goes right up to the bed but is a safe, firm sleeping surface for the baby so loads of the worries i had about co-sleeping weren’t a problem but they are right there for tummy pats, back rubs, hand holding etc. Also it’s about 3 times the size of a Moses basket so DD was in it until 8 months when she started sleeping through so we put her in her own room.

You will honestly be AMAZED at what your partners can sleep through (or at least appear to sleep through...!).

ScotsBaby2 · 12/12/2018 19:25

For those asking about pains, my tummy feels like I have some pulled muscles in it. It did the same when pregnant with DD so all normal. Just muscles stretching. I've also twinged something in my back and i think it's down to the relaxin already in the system which relaxes all the muscles. A good excuse to relax (says she still at her desk and about to supervise a senior dance!)

dragonmummy17 · 12/12/2018 19:33

@Cardi86 we had a nightlight to see with just to help with latching on
I've had some period style cramps, I think it's just everything stretching
@Ninunina that's great news about the heartbeat. Sorry it will be a tricky one but glad they will look after you

newmumma2019 · 12/12/2018 19:37

That's everyone!! It's hard to know. Took a digital weeks indicator and the dates have gone up and down on all 4 tests taken. Have booked an early scan for next Friday so hopefully will feel better following that! Also can tell family over Xmas then as there's no way I can hide not drinking over Xmas festivities!

milly2000 · 12/12/2018 19:40

@Ninunina sounds really positive and it's great there looking after you so well!

@ScotsBaby2 thanks for that I was a little concerned and that reassuring to hear.

I'm a bit confused at the moment. My gp dated me at 5 + 2 but never asked how long my cycle is.

My cycle is 25 days and all my apps say I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. What should I go with, my gp was a bit quick and didn't really say much at all.

avacadooo · 12/12/2018 19:41

Has anybody had their blood pressure suddenly go sky high?
Had to leave work and go straight to the doctors today cause I felt like I was drunk and couldn't remember anything, now I've been told to rest and not go into work and I have to go back to the gp in a week.
All this drama at 5weeks 😫😫
