@Belle2008 that would link in time wise to when I had them - last Thursday. And I'm 5 weeks today. My docs apt is booked for Friday. Smile

Belle2008 · 10/12/2018 07:41

Oh that's reassuring to know! How exciting xx

Sunnydays321 · 10/12/2018 08:01

Hi all, this thread is so busy already! Il have a proper read through later after work. I got a faint bfp on Saturday 9dpo and it's got darker the last 2 days so fingers crossed all being well il be due about the 23rd of August. We have a little girl already who is 2 this week. X

Blii · 10/12/2018 09:01

Hello everyone.
Also tentatively joining. Period was due 6th so I took a test Saturday and again today. The line is darker but no pregnancy symptoms. I had pretty bad Hyperemesis with my other 2 pregnancies so in a way I am willing on the sickness so I know something is happening in there. I can’t remever when the sickness started with the other two pregnancies. I had a very early loss in July, so fingers crossed this time.
Due date would be around 15th August I think.

QueenofFox · 10/12/2018 09:13

@mrsof20118 I think you can elect not to find out but it is one of the things that they test for. I think they just don't tell you that result. If it does show something, it can be useful information to ask for later on as conditions and sex can play out differently between the sexes. Hopefully won't even be an issue though for you guys and you can just not find out!

KMic · 10/12/2018 09:55

My goodness... I'm an hour in to my working day and I'm so MOODY! I think my hormones are all over the place! Also feeling incredibly bloated today. Keep getting the urge to just burst out and tell everyone too! But don't intend on doing so just yet...

MrsRyan15 · 10/12/2018 10:07

I've been for an early scan at the epu this morning as I'd been having some bleeding for the last week.

So relieved that all seems to be ok, I saw the little bean and a flickering heartbeat.

This is our first and had been ttc for 18 months, I have been so anxious that the bleeding meant something was wrong.

Hoping that I will now be able to relax and enjoy Xmas.

mrsof20118 · 10/12/2018 10:11

@MrsRyan15 that's such good news and reassuring that bleeding isn't always a bad thing. Did they give you estimated dates and were they close to what you were expecting?

clairelee17 · 10/12/2018 10:27

That's great news @MrsRyan15, so pleased for you! How far gone are you? Xx

abw94 · 10/12/2018 10:29

Hey! Hope I can hop on... missed my period (was due Thursday) took test Friday Saturday and Sunday and all positive yay! I have been ill with sickness and UTI the last few weeks (didn't even click I would be pregnant as been trying for months so thought I was just very ill) but such a lovely surprise for us before Christmas fingers crossed all goes well as first baby. From all the apps I have downloaded (I hope I'm not the only one!) looks like I will be due 16th August.
Is anyone experiencing belly ache constantly? Not bad at all just a dull ache. Is this normal? This is my first so completely new to this!!

Fae1989 · 10/12/2018 10:39

Hi ladies

How is everyone today?

@Belle2008 - I do too. Mine aren't like cramps though, more like a constant pain, the kind I get when I'm hungry. Weird. Trying not to overthink it!

Fae1989 · 10/12/2018 10:40

Welcome @abw94 - congratulations! Yep, I know that feeling! I've only been getting it since last night, it's uncomfortable but not awful. I'm assuming it's due to everything changing and stretching etc!

abw94 · 10/12/2018 10:47

@Fae1989 thank you!! And thank you for the reassurance. Doctors booked for Friday albeit a telephone appointment as they apparently can do it over the phone as long as I have got a positive test. Has anyone had this before?

Fae1989 · 10/12/2018 10:51

No worries :) it's my first so never experienced any of this before however I am sure it's normal! I think it depends on the area you live in, some want to see you first and some you don't even need to see the GP and can self-refer!

dragonmummy17 · 10/12/2018 11:09

@MrsRyan15 that's lovely news. Glad all is ok
Welcome to all new people... great that there are more people to chat with.
@Belle2008 I've had period style cramps over the past 2 days. I was a bit worried but it seems to be linking in with other symptoms getting stronger so I'm guessing baby is just getting comfortable and everything is stretching

MrsRyan15 · 10/12/2018 11:25

Thanks everyone, I feel so much better having seen the little bean. I didn't realise how scary and stressful this first 12 weeks was going to be.

@mrsof20118 @clairelee17 I am 6 + 1 and they said that looked about right. It measured at about 4mm.

@abw94 my dr didn't want to see or speak to me, they just told me to self refer to the community midwife.

Crossfitgirl · 10/12/2018 11:36

@kmic I feel exactly the same as you. I'm so moody and irritable with DH! And I just want to tell everyone too!

How's everyone getting on?

My only symptoms seem to have gone now. I don't feel pregnant at all!

That early scan is looking tempting now.

I'm patiently awaiting the 6 week mark to see if any other symptoms start x

Crossfitgirl · 10/12/2018 11:38

@mrsof20118 @delilah7 did you find the catch up thread from our ttc thread? Xx

mrsof20118 · 10/12/2018 11:58

@Crossfitgirl no can you tag me there?! X

clairelee17 · 10/12/2018 13:25

I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow @MrsRyan15, and tempted to go for an early scan like you. So nervous though! Really don't want to ruin Christmas if something is wrong xx

milly2000 · 10/12/2018 13:26

@Crossfitgirl I feel the same the only thing I seem to have is really bad dry mouth. I can drink and drink but it still doesn't help.

I have an early scan next Tuesday hoping the time goes quickly.

I think I may have been hyper sensitive to symptoms at the beginning which may be why I feel less now. Who knows Confused

MrsRyan15 · 10/12/2018 13:36

@clairelee17 I know what you mean I was considering an early scan even before the bleeding but was worried about getting bad news.

I found I was just waiting for the worst to happen, which would probably have made xmas stressful anyway.

The scan has really helped to reassure me, now I feel like I can relax and hopefully enjoy Xmas.

KMic · 10/12/2018 13:44

Is anyone else feeling really hungry!?! I can't stop eating!! I'm not meant to be eating for 2 yet ... but I seem to be eating for 3!!! Confused

clairelee17 · 10/12/2018 14:04

@MrsRyan15 totally agree with you, you're right about waiting for worst to happen. How did you manage to get an early one though? Did you have a private scan?

avacadooo · 10/12/2018 14:26

Oh my god I've been looking for an August thread!! Due roughly 13th August
