Thanks guys, I know that brown blood isn't necessarily bad. It could very well be implantation bleeding. That's what it was when I had a bleed at 9 weeks with DD1. I've had a tiny bit more brown when wiping. I am still quite nauseous, but I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'm wondering if I should message my doctor and see if I can get a scan done soon.

EverythingNow · 08/12/2018 20:01

@senorasurf sorry you're feeling rubbish x

dragonmummy17 · 08/12/2018 20:30

@chocolate99 Shock that's so insensitive. She sounds a little thoughtless. I can't wait to get to 6 weeks but can't decide if that's tomorrow or Wednesday!

Chocolate89 · 08/12/2018 21:26

@dragonmummy17 @notanotherpawpatrol I know, right?? But not letting it affect me, she is very young and probably does not yet know how hard it can be to conceive! I do not work with her on a day to day basis so don't have much dealings anyway!

On a side note, anyone else have their xmas tree up?? Ours has been up since last week 🎅⛄🎁

Hi ladies hope you're all ok. Still no symptoms here, maybe just sensitive nipples more than normal.
@ninunina hope all is well with you, def ask the doc just in case, but it sounds like it's hopefully nothing to worry about.
@chocolate89 yes mine is up! 1st of December no less! Glad the party went ok and you got your ginless tonics without too much hassle... Just ignore that girl!

After my umming and ahhing about an early scan I'm now debating getting one at 7 weeks which will be 23rd Dec and DH birthday.

But just not sure! So indecisive am I lol x

Cardi86 · 08/12/2018 23:24

Just got home from a wedding of fake drinking, really not sure if I got away with it with my close friends- I don’t think I did! I normally go for gin but went for a “Bacardi” and coke tonight, my friend asked why was I drinking that! I said I just felt like a change, then she said-“oh, is it nice? Can I taste it?” Haha if she knows she didn’t let on 😀😀

Chocolate89 · 08/12/2018 23:36

@cardi86 haha hilarious! Ah look you can only do your best hiding it! At least they are close friends 😂

Congratulations to all the new posters.

When do you ladies feel would be the right time to start thinking about purchases and names and all the other stuff that comes when we are pregnant?

I am trying to stay neutral when i really want to shout from the rooftops and start organising things but then on the other hand I dont want to jinx anything, is that contradictory.

Triskaidekaphilia · 09/12/2018 00:17

@stylix1981 we're going to start looking at what we want to buy if the 8w scan goes well, probably buy it a bit later but might be tempted by the January sales! I've already bought bump bands because my jeans are tight just from the bloating and I want to be prepared!
I didn't want to tell anyone until 12 weeks but had to tell work as I was so ill, telling parents at 9 weeks as it's christmas, so it will only be friends left to tell later. I know what you mean about jinxing it though, deep down I know it's totally illogical but I still feel like that sometimes. Although I told my workmates that we'd been trying for 18 months, then got pregnant that month, so maybe telling them brings me luck Wink

I need to try and keep up with this thread!

Whoopsies · 09/12/2018 06:21

Morning all. I've just been re-reading the mn thread I was on when I had my ds, it's great, like an online diary of how I felt (I wouldn't remember otherwise!) Morning sickness came on for me at 7 weeks so I'll enjoy the ext 2 weeks while I can!!
I won't be buying anything until pretty late on this time, but with my first I started getting bits from after my 12 week scan.

Carlyisamum · 09/12/2018 07:32

Found out I'm due the day after my wedding anniversary! Come on wee bean, mum needs her prosecco 😂

Awaitingalondonbaby · 09/12/2018 07:37

Hi all, I’m 5weeks with number 2 (my son is 23m). Congratulations to everyone.
I wanted to ask a probably impossible question - is there a way of knowing if you’ve got pregnancy sickness or a bug? I was sick twice last night plus 2 x diarrhoea (TMI sorry) and not sure if it could be a bug or just pregnancy! I was only ever nauseous last time round, so this has taken me by surprise a bit!

Whoopsies · 09/12/2018 08:09

@Awaitingalondonbaby Welcome and congrats! I felt the same as you last weekend, felt really sick at only just 4 weeks so wasn't sure what it was. Wad so nauseous for 3 days straight and threw up. But was fine after that and feel fine now so I'm sure it was a bug. Probably only time will tell. Hope you feel ok!

dragonmummy17 · 09/12/2018 08:11

@stylix1981 we have had names for months!
@Awaitingalondonbaby I'm not sure. Does anyone else have it?

I feel a bit crampy today, low down like mild period cramps. Hope that it's just getting comfy in there!

Notanotherpawpatrol · 09/12/2018 08:12

@stylix1981 I've already started looking at pushchairs and thinking names. Both are going to be very difficult so the earlier the better! I won't be buying until after I know the sex though Grin

Ninunina · 09/12/2018 08:16

Congratulations @Awaitingalondonbaby
I think if you had an upset stomach including a loose tummy it was probably a bug. I find I usually get a fever too when I have a bug.

News from me this morning is that I haven't had anymore spotting. I had a good nights sleep, no cramps or anything. Hoping I'll see nothing else. I'll still message my doctor and will hopefully get an early scan.

KMic · 09/12/2018 08:28

So ... I had to go out last night for a friends birthday! Having only just found out it was so hard to not just announce it!! 🤣 but I think my ordering white wine spritzas (alongside a glass of water) helped. Every time they looked at me I was holding the wine but drinking away on the water!

Re names, I have thought of a couple... but nothing concrete. I've been thinking of names since we got married though! He hasn't got the easiest surname to match names to 🤣

Who's finding out what the sex is?! I totally will! My hubs told me yesterday he didn't want to ... I just laughed and said 'good luck with that!' ... I like to be prepared!! 🤣

EverythingNow · 09/12/2018 08:32

I've been looking at buggies/cloth nappies/ cots but just to give myself a PMA. Not going to buy them until later on. I'm going to buy some maternity leggings this week as normal digging in, plus a soft bra as my boobs have ballooned.

I've told my parents, sister and best friend so far. Dh is telling his parents this week. We would need them if things don't go well so we've told them now.

Good news @ninunina

EverythingNow · 09/12/2018 08:37

@kmic we will find out. Three girls already, and we found out with 2&3.

Elito · 09/12/2018 09:15

Hi ladies!!! I just found out this week that I’m pregnant!! It’s my first pregnancy! I use an app that says due date is 16th of August. So, this is 4 weeks according to last day of period. I’ve got first appointment with a midwife on 10th of Jan. looking forward to being part of this group 😁

dragonmummy17 · 09/12/2018 09:19

@KMic we want to know this time. We didn't last time and that was lovely but this time we need to plan ahead.
Welcome @Elito

QueenofFox · 09/12/2018 09:25

Welcome newbies!!

I found out with both my girls and will find out at the harmony test this time (part of the genetics testing as boys and girls affected differently by different conditions) so assuming all goes well at the early scan on 21st, we'll find out sex first week of Jan.

Have started thinking about names and will get a new pushchair this time but have to keep pulling myself back and saying if. Just really hope all okay!

Kileah18 · 09/12/2018 10:33

Congratulations & welcome to newbies 😊

Is it crazy to say my frigging jeans I bought 2 weeks ago are seriously tight to button now? Does the bloating go away or do u just get bigger from now? 🤣

sunshine1987 · 09/12/2018 10:43

@kileah18 I’ve resorted to the hair bobble trick already! x

Ninunina · 09/12/2018 10:53

I was like that with DD1 & DD2 @Kileah18. I had more of a bump at 6 weeks than I did at 14 weeks cos of bloating. I put on 5kg straight away. It's totally different this time (maybe because it's not going well). My weight has dropped slightly and I don't have a hint of bloating. My boobs are my give away. Very full, they look like I've had work done.

Just had a bit more very pale brown cm. It's seems quite similar to when I had an implantation bleed at 9 weeks with DD1. My lack of nausea today is not helping. I still had my usual morning sickness at night and first thing this morning, but now it's gone. Haven't messaged my doctor yet and haven't even told DH. I'll try and get an appointment tomorrow though.
