Tentatively joining you all. Af not due until Wednesday but got my positive on a frer on Friday. Stupidly tested too early so now I'm counting down the days until Wed 🙄

Cardi86 · 03/12/2018 21:04

Congrats @lazysundays18!

Cardi86 · 03/12/2018 21:05

I sent my self - referral to the maternity hospital today, so exciting! Because I was on Clomid I’m getting a 7 week scan at the fertility clinic, I think because of the higher risk of multiples

dragonmummy17 · 03/12/2018 21:12

Hello and congratulations @Lazysundays18 and @clairelee17
@UnicornDust17 no spotting today so am feeling less worried.
@Ninunina I did a cb digital this morning after my spotting yesterday. It had gone up to 2-3 weeks which I'm very relieved about
@milly2000 thats great about the scan date... I'm glad the appointment went well

I'm so tired tonight. And this morning I had a moment of I need to eat now before I'm sick... DS wanted to watch Bing and I was like no, time for breakfast!!

vixy1988 · 03/12/2018 21:13

I'm around 6 and a half weeks and had some brown when I wiped today. It really scared me. I hope some of you have some success stories for me.

I've been checking toilet paper profusely today. I really hope it is ok.

dragonmummy17 · 03/12/2018 21:26

@vixy1988 i had brown and pink spotting from 5w to 15w when i was pregnant with DS. They eventually decided it was from my cervix. DS was fine and currently asleep upstairs
I was 5w yesterday and had some spotting. It's stopped now so I'm hoping it was the same.
Brown I think is old blood but maybe call GP or midwife tomorrow. It's very stressful... I hope it's ok for you

CalmerComber · 03/12/2018 22:08

I’m in too! Have 20 month DD already (April 2017). Nervous and excited!

milly2000 · 03/12/2018 22:08

Welcome and congrats @CalmerComber

Crossfitgirl · 03/12/2018 22:17

@everythingnow is your scan private or NHS? Bet you can't wait!
@Milly2000 ah sorry to hear that, I just googled it to see what it was, it must be reassuring to have the early scan then to rule it out this time. I'm staying away from baby stuff too.
It's so hard, you want to be excited but you don't feel like you can get too excited just in case.
@whoopsies aww what a waste of tea! Hehe. Hope you're feeling ok now?
@mrsof20118 I haven't heard that, but I had b6 in my pre conception vitamins. I have no sickness at all yet! But then I'm only 4+1. See what the next week brings!

@ninunina let us know what your test says. How many wks are you now? Ive heard all pregnancies can be totally different. My friend was fine in her first, but has thrown up every day with her second! Do you have all girls? Maybe this ones a boy! :-)

DH and I have discussed doing another test and we don't want to as we'd both be really anxious if it hadn't gone up from 1-2 weeks. I'm just going with the fact I've not bled therefore everything is fine. I do get very anxious easily though so and so does he, that works for us.

milly2000 · 03/12/2018 22:22

@Crossfitgirl yeah it wasn't a very nice experience and meant I wasn't allowed to get pregnant again for 12 months. So really holding out hope for some luck this time! The early scan will defo help but I think after 12 weeks I'll relax!

UnicornDust17 · 03/12/2018 22:31

Exciting @IrishCypriot! I saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks with my DS1. Good luck!

Congrats @LazySundays18 and @CalmerComber

@Vixy1988 I'm sure it will be ok, i hope it settles down. I'm 5+3 today and have had spotting for a few days now.

Good luck with your test @ninunina

I've had pretty bad cramping tonight again, all on one side though which is a bit weird. I really need to step away from Dr Google Confused

EverythingNow · 03/12/2018 22:35

@crossfitgirl it's private, I've not even seen my Dr yet. I'm super excited and also nervous.

I have 3 girls aged 18,9 and 7, and I've had different symptoms with all of them. Dd1 I had weeing and cramps followed by heartburn. Dd2 and 3 I had heartburn followed by spd and restless legs. With dd3 the heartburn made me throw up daily but it wasn't morning sickness, it was the acid in my throat.

This time I've definitely felt symptoms sooner, but after 18m trying some is probably in my head - apart from the boobs they are properly ouch!

Cardi86 · 03/12/2018 23:36

@milly2000 thank you for the app suggestions I’ve just downloaded them all! Sorry to hear about your molar pregnancy, it must have been so hard waiting 12 months. How come they advised you to wait? Best of luck with the scan! I’m still waiting for my scan appt, can’t wait to get the letter in the post!

dragonmummy17 · 04/12/2018 06:37

Congratulations @CalmerComber and welcome. DS is an April 17 baby too

I'd really love an early scan but it's a lot of money just before Christmas. Haven't quite decided yet!

mrsof20118 · 04/12/2018 06:40

Try not to worry @vixy1988 if it's brown it should be ok. If you are concerned call your gp and they may refer you for an early scan.

Got my early scan this Thursday. Nervous but hoping that we see a heartbeat as I'll be 6 weeks

Crossfitgirl · 04/12/2018 06:55

Congrats and welcome @LazySundays18 and @CalmerComber :-)
@vixy1988 spotting can be totally normal, but all the same my GP said to go back if I got any spotting or bleeding at all, just to be on the safe side - so I would go and let them know. I'm sure it's fine and if it's brown it's likely to be old blood. Let us know how you get on xxx

@dragonmummy17 I'd love an early scan too but the NHS advice on them put me off. I was going to wait and see what the midwife says, but I'll be 7 weeks at the midwife and don't know how quickly you can book an early private scan. I'd want to book it for the week after. They'd do evenings right?

4+2 today and God, my nipples are very sore!! Just my nipples, nothing else!

Has anyone else done any exercise since finding out? I went to the gym last night, told my coach I hurt my back so I could scale things down without letting on.
The doctor was a bit useless and very vague about what exercise you can do so I don't really know what's safe! She just kinda said carry on but take it steady lol x

milly2000 · 04/12/2018 07:27

@Cardi86 I was referred to Charing Cross hospital as they monitor my hormone levels for 12 months to make sure the cells haven't started to re grow after the operation. The doctors were great the wait was painful.

@Crossfitgirl I'm the same with the exercise. I usually train 5 days a week. I usually do high intensity cardio twice a week and weight and strength training the other three days. And I won't lie I've completely stopped. I mentioned it to the gp and she just kept saying slow down. I think I'm going to wait until I'm more relaxed about the pregnancy before I continue. I don't want to blame myself if something happens.

milly2000 · 04/12/2018 07:45

God I feel awful this morning. Spent the last half hour by the toilet think the joys of sickness have arrived. 4 weeks seems early though?

Whoopsies · 04/12/2018 07:59

@milly2000, I'm only having an early scan so they can see if they can locate my coil and check the location of the pg etc. Otherwise I wouldn't be having one. When I had ds I was on a mn thread and a few women had them and they weren't always a good thing.
I'm a runner and will continue to run throughout. I'm already pretty well established though and will definitly tone it down when I need to!

EverythingNow · 04/12/2018 08:10

@crossfitgirl what is the nhs advice regarding early scans? I've booked mine becuase I'm old -39! Also I am anxious due to previous early losses the last 2 times I've conceived and also because I need to tell work after Christmas but before 12wks due to commitments so I would like some reassurance before then. Oh and finally and I know that it's not really an indicator and the likelihood is low but I got my bfp early at 8dpo by 9dpo there was a strong line, I just want to check there's only one in there (though I'd love twins!

Lazysundays18 · 04/12/2018 08:16

I had an early scan with my little boy due to a previous loss but I waited until 10 weeks because I know that miscarriage rates drop right down after that time. Gutted I'll only be 6.5 weeks at Christmas time because it would have been nice to have an early scan before Christmas Day!

EverythingNow · 04/12/2018 08:19

@lazysundays18 I'm going on 27th when I'll be 8+3. I'd have liked to go before Christmas too but I thought Christmas eve when I'm 8wks might be awful if it's not good news.

Lazysundays18 · 04/12/2018 08:44

@EverythingNow absolutely! So exciting that you don't have long to wait! I think I'll arrange one for mid January 😁

clairelee17 · 04/12/2018 09:28

Thank you all for the welcome!

@lazysundays18 I agree with you - I would have loved to have a scan before Christmas Day (I'll be 8 weeks on Christmas Day) for reassurance due to a previous, recent miscarriage, so to tell family on Christmas Day that they'd potentially have a new addition would be the icing on the cake! But like you, if anything was to happen and no heartbeat could be found, it would be such an upsetting Christmas! I know what I was like when I lost it last time, I cried all day, so can't do that on Christmas Day!

So nervous and anxious, but at the same time, trying not to think about it. Does that make sense? Just really hoping it sticks.....

UnicornDust17 · 04/12/2018 10:14

Morning.. How much cramping is normal? I'm having so much. Like period cramps but really uncomfortable. Don't remember these with DS1 (it was 7 years ago though!! Grin or with any of my MCs Confused

Not sure it's with phoning EPU as 5+3 do doubt they'd be able to even see anything??
