Who even knows? I'm very close to just asking them outright. I say them, I think BiL has been heavily railroaded into the whole thing. The only thing I can think is that we have what she wants - stable long term relationship, married etc. She's said before in the past that she always wants to be part of the family etc.

SiL said she was going to have another baby and call it the same name too but I wasn't there to get the reaction to that 😂

Emma198 · 06/09/2018 22:00

I'm always more likely to stick up for others than myself. If I was SIL I don't think I'd have been able to hold my tongue and not ask her why she thought it was OK to choose the name you'd chosen.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 06/09/2018 22:06

It'll come out from someone sooner or later.

We're absolutely not changing our mind and won't let it spoil anything for us. Will just let the girlfriend continue to let others see her true colours until her motives become clear.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 07/09/2018 10:01

Can anyone tell me what they do regarding reduced movement at this stage? Pretty sure I've not had anything all morning

Italianshark · 07/09/2018 10:09

@AnotherOriginalUsername if you are over 26 weeks then go in. They will just check the heartbeat but if you are over 28 they will strap you up to a monitoring machine xx

Italianshark · 07/09/2018 10:12

I'm 28+4 and had our 3D scan last night! Omg it was magical... although we all saw her pulling the umbilical cord like a balloon string 😰!

I've just decided to get ready and go into work early to drop the dog off and maybe think about getting checked....

...and then I get an almighty boot in the ribs. Think he must have just shifted position as I usually feel kicks around the sides

shallen · 07/09/2018 10:14

@AnotherOriginalUsername if you are under 26 weeks still go in, I went in at 23 and they checked for heat beat with Doppler and did wee test etc.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 07/09/2018 10:25

He's squiggling about now. Think the difference is that he feels very far back so it feels quite subtle. If I sit still and concentrate it's pretty constant movement as usual, but I can easily see how I've missed it whilst doing other things

AnotherOriginalUsername · 07/09/2018 10:27

@Italianshark we've got our second attempt on Sunday! Hopefully this time round we get more than "oh look, he's playing with his willy. With both hands" 🙄

I do wonder what they get up to in there. A colleague also had a 4D scan on Sunday and her baby was sucking on her cord 🤢

HungryN · 07/09/2018 10:35

@anotheroriginalusername NHS guidance is to monitor movements yourself over 24 hours, so if you haven’t felt anything or it is overall much much less by this evening then I would get checked.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 07/09/2018 10:38

When I spoke to them about it last time they said this side of 30 weeks they don't worry about changes to patterns and stuff and that any movement is fine and to call them if it stops completely

AnotherOriginalUsername · 07/09/2018 10:41

And another kick in the ribs. Think all is fine....

Italianshark · 07/09/2018 11:04

@AnotherOriginalUsername thats hilarious haha! Yeah god the positions the woman got me in last night were uncanny - These were the best we could get though! I was happy enough! Hopefully he behaves for you Sunday Smile

AnotherOriginalUsername · 07/09/2018 14:09

We got a couple of images of his face and a couple of normal 2D scan images and to be honest, we were happy with those (and our main reason was to try and identify the sex which they did for us) but it was them who weren't happy and were insistent that we went back for a second go

EL332 · 08/09/2018 18:43

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend ❤️

shallen · 08/09/2018 21:03

This weekend I am mainly sleeping, and loving it! knackered after a few full on weeks at work.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 08/09/2018 21:14

Busy weekend unfortunately! Worked this morning which took me up to 60 hours this week, and been out to a birthday party this afternoon/evening. Planning on taking the dog to the beach tomorrow morning and then we're off for 4D scan attempt #2 tomorrow afternoon

hammeringinmyhead · 08/09/2018 23:32

We had 7 hours of NCT today! Full-on but enjoyed it. Tomorrow I plan to relaaax.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 02:37

Ooh that's a long time @hammeringinmyhead! Are you doing the signature or the essential course?

GreenGooner · 09/09/2018 04:11

Aaarrrggghhh the heartburn 😣 I just want to sleep!

Italianshark · 09/09/2018 08:14

@GreenGooner I had it terrible, couldn't sleep. Dr gave me Omeprazole - haven't had it since! Massively recommend xx

GreenGooner · 09/09/2018 08:26

Thanks @Italianshark I popped two operprazole and it subsided 3 hours later. Just wasn't shifting last night. So tired today x

hammeringinmyhead · 09/09/2018 08:39

I'm doing the Signature course. We have a 3 hour session on Monday and then all day Sunday.

I woke up at 5am screaming into my pillow with calf cramp. I really need to sleep differently!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 09:18

@hammeringinmyhead ah I'm doing the signature one too but think it's less "condensed"! We have I think it's 4 or 5 three hour evening sessions and 2 Saturday 5 hour sessions.

Re: cramp, I get (got!) it a lot during the night following intense exercise. I've been getting it recently now too. I wear compression socks (just knee high running compression socks) to bed which seems to work well. It's also worse if my feet/legs get cold so I try and prevent that too.
