My midwife makes you take a tub home and bring it in! Saves time apparently.

My main pain source is having feet jammed up under my ribs on my right side so I can feel/see a moving lump. Every few days he does it, then I get all burpy and feel like I have a stitch. I'm hoping he shifts over a bit!

EL332 · 05/09/2018 23:16

Happy Birthday Emma 🎈

I've got my GTT in the morning and I'm worrying about waking up in the night and not being allowed my rennie!!

Hopefully it will all be ok!

@hammeringinmyhead I was dreading antenatal classes but actually it wasn't so bad! Seems like a nice bunch of people even if the teacher is a little ecentric!

I did make the mistake of watching this before though (and the badger part did come up 😂 )

Just woken up with the worst cramp, ah the joy.

I had my GTT on Tuesday and I have sunce had a message to call them. Not looking good folks! Will keep you posted.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 06/09/2018 08:20

Hope all is ok @orangejuicer. I'm merrily eating all of the carbs as will hear today if there's a problem with mine 😂

In other news I'm absolutely exhausted and have an incredibly short fuse. I've been in work for a total of 16 minutes this morning and my colleague has already done a dash to buy cookies!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 06/09/2018 08:38

Aaaaand I'm totally on my own all day for a 12 hour shift, joy!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 06/09/2018 08:52

And someone has shat on my floor and it's not even 9am yet 😣

Pickles31 · 06/09/2018 09:01

I’m 31 weeks today Smile and off to a physio appt at the hosp for my spd, hoping it will help. Starting to get tired a lot now too. Apart from having bad constipation at the mo I’m not doing too bad. Only 6 more weeks in work to go!! Having a new kitchen fitted at present so looking forward to that being completed

orangejuicer · 06/09/2018 09:05

So I have GD and am 'impaired' whatever that means. I need to go in on Wednesday to the medical antenatal clinic and will transfer to that from consultant-led going forward.

Gutted Sad. I'm not surprised but still.

orangejuicer · 06/09/2018 09:09

Sorry about the sh1t another Angry

shallen · 06/09/2018 09:10

@AnotherOriginalUsername
Where do you work that shitting on the floor happens? Really hope it's not a Tesco or somewhere like that?!

I too and very angry with work all the time, work in an office and have taken to shutting myself in a meeting room so I can be angry without swearing at people and getting fired!!

EL332 · 06/09/2018 09:15

@pickles I hope the physio helps! I found a pregnancy massage helped quite a lot for hip pain and I've been bouncing on my big ball and I'm due to start pregnancy yoga next week...

I've had pains that have come and gone in my hips and pelvis and when it flares up it can be so sore so I really don't envy the SPD.

The new kitchen however I do envy 🙂

My husband has some time off work in the next few weeks and our bedroom is being redecorated - I'm feeling ready to get it all sorted to accommodate our boy 💕

@AnotherOriginalUsername embrace the carbs! And sorry about the shit and the lack of staff 😣 I hope your day goes by without too much drama!

How did the evening end with your brother in law - was the name mentioned?

EL332 · 06/09/2018 09:28

@orangejuicer I'm sorry! That's rubbish news for you - sending a squeeze 😔 when did you have the test?

I've just had my drink and am beginning my 2 hour wait...

Did you have any symptoms before the test?

Have you been told what you'll need to do differently?

EL332 · 06/09/2018 09:30

@Emma198 & @shallen where was your fundal measurement recorded?

My midwife told me the measurement of mine but not which percentile I was on ... Hmm

OP posts:
shallen · 06/09/2018 09:37

@EL332 I have a growth chart in my folder where they plot the measurements against the growth line things.

EL332 · 06/09/2018 10:21

@shallen I've looked through and can't find one? Is that just in your standard notes or is it an insert? 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
AnotherOriginalUsername · 06/09/2018 10:23

@shallen I work in a vets, it's ok!

Also have no nurse this morning so I've been wrestling angry cats and pissed off dogs this morning as well. There's 2 other pregnant members of staff as well currently and I'm sure I get the shitty end of the deal because I just get on with it and don't complain!

@EL332 no mention or even acknowledgment at all. Think that's the worst thing about it. We don't "own" the name, they're free to call their child whatever they like, but to not even tell us (besides an announcement on Facebook) and not even acknowledge that a) they've decided to use the same name or b) that we're having a boy so there WILL be 2 of them is the most frustrating part.

BiL stayed last night and is staying tonight as it's his contact days with his daughter (let's not even start on his cheeky fuckery there) and apparently girlfriend and baby are round today. Hoping they're gone before I get home from work which is just awful of me.

EL332 · 06/09/2018 10:35

Oh @Another it's so annoying isn't it that people who are prissy and make a fuss end up being 'excused' from so many jobs 🙄

Do you think they'll be shocked when they hear that you've gone through with your name choice? Are they expecting you to back down do you think? I'd be so pissed off if I was you! Will you talk to them about you decision before your baby arrives?

I'm sorry you might get home to them all after a long and tiring shift!

OP posts:
AnotherOriginalUsername · 06/09/2018 11:23

@EL332 when they first brought it up we said that regardless of what they decide, we will not be changing our mind. We decided on one boys name and one girls name from day 1 and that was it. There was never a list or a short list and my husband has always (certainly for the 10 years I've known him) said that this is what he would call a boy. I remember not being overly enamoured with it years (and years) ago as it was before the "old man" names were back in fashion, he's wanted it for that long!

When we told them that they agreed to use it as a middle name and that's the last we heard of it, until they posted on Facebook that he'd been born. Part of me thinks that they will half expect us to change our mind, but it isn't happening.

shallen · 06/09/2018 13:16

@EL332 the midwife printed mine for me, it's personalised to me. She should be able to print it for you.

shallen · 06/09/2018 13:18

Had anyone else had itchy/tingly skin? I have it today all over but mainly my hands legs and face. Googled stuff but can't really find anything that seems to match what I'm having, it's more of a tingle than an itch that can be scratched if you know what I mean.

Ja1992 · 06/09/2018 13:43

@shallon my boobs r really itchy. Skin on my face is going a little bad too n im 29 weeks x

shallen · 06/09/2018 13:45

Mine started in my legs and is now arms and scalp mainly, googling things says potential liver issues, was only in midwife yesterday and no blood pressure or protein issues so can be anything serious can it?

AnotherOriginalUsername · 06/09/2018 14:06

@EL332 the growth chart is unique to you and is (if I recall) based on your height and weight. Mine was printed out and put in my notes at one of my appointments.
