@GreenGooner that sounds intense 😣 I hope you maybe manage a nice Sunday afternoon nap today 💕

@hammeringinmyhead that's a lot of hours all at once! I bet your brain is full today!

@AnotherOriginalUsername I hope baby behaves today and you get the photos you want! ❤️

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 12:34

I feel absolutely huge today all of a sudden, and my feet are nowhere to be seen!

Kt2108 · 09/09/2018 12:40

@AnotherOriginalUsername this happened to me this week too! Wednesday night went to bed a bit pregnant. Thursday absolutely huge!!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 12:41

@Kt2108 I think I've reached the milestone of "obviously pregnant rather than dubiously fat" now!

Kt2108 · 09/09/2018 12:51

Hahah yes! I don’t have a full length mirror in my house and genuinely got a shock at the size of me yesterday! I dunno where any more bump can go 😂

GreenGooner · 09/09/2018 14:43

So jealous of that lovely bump. While I definitely look rounder I still think I just look fat and have a B kind of bump.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 17:26

Oh I'm definitely an odd shape from the side @GreenGooner. I royally messed up my body over the years, got up to 26 stone and then lost 11 so it ain't pretty side on 😂

We had a more successful attempt at the scan today. Still lazy though (even yawning away in there!) and very definitely a boy!

GreenGooner · 09/09/2018 18:35

Ahhh look at his cute little face @AnotherOriginalUsername chuffed you finally got one of him!! I'm so tempted to get one 💙

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 19:11

It's not a great one as it's a photo of the photo but the yawn 😍

We went to Window to the Womb in Exeter but they have scan clinics all over the place. Definitely recommend them - we had an early pregnancy viability scan with them and I didn't even realise until after but having gone back they gave us £40 off and upgraded the 4D scan package to the top level one (we just paid for the basic one as just wanted to find out the sex really). They weren't happy with the images last week (we were!) so they insisted that we went back for a free re-scan this week. They've been absolutely amazing. A colleague used another private scan clinic last week and really wasn't impressed at all.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 19:12

Oops forgot the yawn

Melaniesunflower · 09/09/2018 19:24

Green boomer, I have a B bump as well.... I keep hoping it'll go away and turn into a nice bump, but hey, not happened yet

AnotherOriginalUsername · 09/09/2018 20:11

I've found the most comfortable thing to wear is my husband's boxer shorts. They come up over my bump and give some support and a smoother appearance. Great for sleeping in too.

He keeps buying new packs and I keep intercepting them - he either hasn't worked it out or he doesn't mind!

hammeringinmyhead · 09/09/2018 20:42

We built the cot bed today. It was a weird experience after 14 years of being together thinking we wouldn't have children. Bug a nice one all the same!

I thought I had a big bump but mine was maybe the second smallest of 8 at NCT. It's very round though, like a bowling ball.

6 weeks left at work. I'm hoping to get at least a week of nesting and Netflix in before the baby arrives!

dw23 · 10/09/2018 10:26

@Pickles31 - I had really bad constipation last week too, I can't take that either cos I'm lactose intolerant so I'm just trying to keep hydrated and flush out my system and lots of fruit and vegetables seems to be working. I think I might have a touch of SPD too but it's not too bad, sleeping is a nightmare because I have groin pain and if I put too much pressure on one side I get cramp down my leg so lots of tossing and turning. Yes this is my first too, doesn't feel like we've got long left now does it? Think I'm going to sort my hospital bag this week just in case we get an early arrival Grin.

Italianshark · 10/09/2018 16:07

Is anyone else beginning to wonder how you actually keep a baby alive once we've given birth?

Its suddenly dawned on me that I don't have a clue how much your meant to feed your baby, when your meant to feed them, how much formula your meant to use.

Is it a case of trial and error? Baby cries - go through the motions until they stop? lol...

Just me? Blush

Emma198 · 10/09/2018 16:36

@Italian don't wait until they cry! There's So many clues they're hungry before it gets that bad.

Think it is just working it out as you go along. Formula has instructions on the tin, I'm sure nappies will have instructions on the packet 😁. And then just watching your baby to learn what they do when.

My back is bad and in bed I'm getting cramp from my left hip all the way down to the sole of my foot 😭😭

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/09/2018 16:40

@Italianshark on our NCT ladies group list of "what we want to achieve from the course", number 1 was "how to keep a baby alive". Second was "meet people we can admit to, that we don't know how to keep a baby alive" 😂

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/09/2018 16:41

@Emma198 definitely cramp? Sounds like sciatica

Emma198 · 10/09/2018 16:43

@Another yeah feels like cramp pain and only happens in bed. Still got my other pains down my legs too during the day 🙄 oh the joys.

Italianshark · 10/09/2018 16:44

@AnotherOriginalUsername I need to join. 🙈😂. Think I'm gonna buy a book although I will obviously learn all these things at the classes I got booked too!

hammeringinmyhead · 10/09/2018 16:49

Our number one was also keeping a baby alive! That's on our Sunday course. I have a three hour NCT feeding session tonight, midwife appointment tomorrow.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/09/2018 17:36

Not sure what our second class is on tonight. If the first one was anything to go by, it'll be more life size, step by step images of which part of my body gets desecrated next 🙄

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/09/2018 17:48

I am also hoping that having kept my dog alive for 16 years, bodes well enough that I can keep a human alive. They're just bald puppies, right?

shallen · 10/09/2018 18:33

@Italianshark that's my biggest worry! I literally don't have a clue...... it's ok to carry your baby round in a Tesco bag and feed them monster munch right?

Melaniesunflower · 10/09/2018 19:52

I was hoping they'd give me an instruction manual when we leave the maternity unit....... hoping DH will keep me right, he has 9 younger siblings,so least has a. It of clue how to keep babies alive 😂😂😂
