@cryptonaut that’s good. the nurse at my surgery said they won’t be available until October!

doleritedinosaur · 13/09/2018 12:31

@Kate123cl hopefully it will! Anterior ones usually do.

@HolDraws yes! For weeks, it’s really annoying as I don’t need any preparation with sleepless nights.

3:30am on the dot which is fun.

I’ve got whooping cough booked for end of the month but had to rearrange the anti D & no idea when that is now.
I don’t bother with flu jab as I had it once & was more ill than I’ve ever been.

I’ve been discharged back to midwifery care & so happy. Just need to remember to book the next appointment.

The constant dry eyes aren’t fun though.

aburrow93 · 13/09/2018 13:51

Ahhh since I went to bed last night I've actually been feeling little kicks! They are very little bumps against my lower belly. So happy to finally feel it and actually be pretty darn sure it was the baby.

I have my flu jab booked for 7am in the morning on the 11th Oct. I've heard several people complain it made them ill and they wouldn't have it again. I'm going to have it tho cos I guess everyone reacts differently so you don't know till you try.

Hi ladies, thought I'd pop back on with a little update. It's FuckMyUterus here for those who remember me from the last thread.

Baby is still hanging in there, still a little unsure of the prognosis, but we've found out she's a girl!
Hope everyone is doing well!

GinGeum · 13/09/2018 15:19

Fuck good to see you back! How have you been the past few weeks?

purplesmiler · 13/09/2018 15:21

Thank you for the update @Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly hope you are as ok as you can be sending positive thoughts.

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 13/09/2018 15:21

I'm not going to lie, I've been all over the place, have a Fetal Medicine consultant scan on Monday which will give us a definite answer hopefully.

As I mentioned, prognosis is still looking like it's balancing on a knife edge depending on this scan on Monday, but trying not to lose the plot over the weekend.

Kate123cl · 13/09/2018 15:38

Bless you @Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly I hope your scan goes well on Monday. Nice to hear from you x

jennac · 13/09/2018 16:45

@Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly fantastic to see you back on here and that things are still progressing. Everything crossed for you on Monday 🤞 limbo land must be incredibly difficult, well done for being so strong xx

sexnotgender · 13/09/2018 16:52

@Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly I was wondering how you were. Can’t even imagine how stressed you are. Keeping everything crossed for a positive outcome for you and your baby girl x

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 13/09/2018 18:28

Thank you :) hope you're all feeling well!

doleritedinosaur · 14/09/2018 05:28

@ironytheoppositeofwrinkly it’s really good to hear from you. Hope Monday comes soon enough for you so you’re out of limbo, will cross everything.

Can I be honest for a moment? I’m finding the baby movements really weird! I can see my bump moving on the outside all the time now, and I just can’t get my head around it. I’m half fascinated and want to sit staring at it all day, but also half creeped out and don’t want to look Blush

sexnotgender · 14/09/2018 12:23

Oh the baby movements are totally weird! Is this your first?
Just wait until you see an actual foot jabbing out your stomach while you lie in the bathShock

GinGeum · 14/09/2018 13:16

Yes, my first. I told DH we might see the shape of a hand or foot and he didn’t believe me! It’s just bizarre. I’ve seen lots of other ladies’ bumps moving with kicks, but feeling it from the inside and seeing it on the outside is more creepy somehow Grin

Curlypop · 14/09/2018 13:19

Just wanted to say after 22weeks of expanding boobs and uncomfortable bras I've finally found a good one. Called the mumba bra if anyone is looking.

Merrz · 14/09/2018 15:57

The movements are weird aren't they, i found it really weird after my 20 week scan the thought that what i saw on the screen was actually what i felt moving inside me!
What are everyone else's movement patterns like? Do you feel baby quite frequently? For the last week mine seems to be one day moving lots then the next hardly at all, today is a moving lots day but hardly felt anything yesterday Confused

Harrypotterfan1604 · 14/09/2018 16:53

It’s good to hear others are feelings but freaked by the movementsz mine aren’t noticeable from the outside yet although I do think baby kicked the dog the other day😂 he had his head on my bunk fast asleep I felt a really unusually hard kick and the dog jumped up startled and was staring at my belly wondering what just kicked him. It was hilarious!

Harrypotterfan1604 · 14/09/2018 16:53

Head on my bump that should have said 🙈

Merrz · 14/09/2018 18:21

😂 that's funny @Harrypotter baby making it clear s/he will be top dog soon

GinGeum · 14/09/2018 19:30

I’ve no idea how to start tracking a pattern with baby, it honestly feels like he moves just constantly?! I suppose first thing in the morning he’s not quite so energetic but livens up after I’ve had my breakfast. It’s gone from only really feeling him when I was sat still, to wondering if people in the street can see my belly making odd movements while he kicks away Grin

He seems to do his most vicious kicks when I rest a plate on my bump. Perhaps he’s trying to tell me he is not a table Wink

doleritedinosaur · 14/09/2018 20:26

@harrypotter mine kicks their brothers when they’re on my lap.

I think with tracking it’s noticing changes in movements or lack of it when you feel there is an established pattern but if you ever feel worried midwife triage are the best place to go/call.

I think it’s more from 24 weeks they do traces but as babies get bigger patterns are easier to pick up.

The tiredness is definitely picking up but I’ve been up since 4am thanks to pregnancy insomnia & active baby. Very early start to my birthday!

SuperVeggie · 14/09/2018 20:48

@GinGeum I know what you mean. My baby was rolling and turning lots the other day and it felt like a snake inside me. Then I couldn’t stop thinking about the idea of having a snake in my stomach and it really freaked me out! I still don’t think it’s sunk in that there’s an actual baby in there. I feel like she lives at the hospital in the scanner room and that’s where we go to visit her Grin

SuperVeggie · 14/09/2018 20:51

Happy birthday @doleritedinosaur!

Harrypotterfan1604 · 15/09/2018 09:00

Ive been awake since around 1am with the odd nap in between. The longer I was awake the more my mind was in overdrive, thinking about labour, birth, breastfeeding, how the dogs will be with a new baby, what changing bag I’m going to buy, wondering is baby a boy or girl, hoping it won’t be huge, worrying about needing a section 🙈 just to name a few 😂 insomnia sucks!!
