@LucyLou19 yes it's my first baby been on maternity leave since 35 weeks. Is this your first baby too?

OliveOrTwist · 15/09/2018 16:25

40 weeks here.
Finally had some plug yesterday, not alot mind but at least something is heading in the right direction. We had sex this morning. And ive had a couple of strongish period type pains this afternoon, but they were random. Maybe half an hour or more apart. I'm super aware that I am most likely looking into this all too much, its like the tww all over again but I'm hopeful that something will at least get started over the weekend!

LucyLou19 · 15/09/2018 17:16

@gracey no it’s my 3rd 😤🙄 only finished work last week at 38+2. So ready for baby now xx

That sounds like the start of mine @OliveOrTwist you could be onto something!

Fingers crossed I'm going home today once drs have done rounds yay!

Grazek · 17/09/2018 11:44

Finally something is moving here, I’ve lost plug this morning so YAY :) I know it can still be days but as due date is tomorrow here’s hoping she will be punctual like mommy and arrives in time Grin

PirateWeasel · 17/09/2018 14:46

@grazek Yay! Backache and period pains over here but have been getting them for over a week so not getting my hopes up. They're probably worse today because I pruned our hedge yesterday Blush

LucyLou19 · 17/09/2018 14:49

@graze I lost all my plug last Wednesday and Thursday and still NO baby!!! Although I’ve read time and time again this is a rare case! He’s just not ready and I can’t tell you how fed up I am xx

Well I'm still here and pregnant wonder the cramps seem to disappear or be loads weaker in the day and come back at night but they're getting stronger each night so Im hoping that it means something is happening, albeit slowly

Grazek · 17/09/2018 16:45

@Pirateweasel @Lucy oh I know it can be ages away but I’m glad something is happening, even DH is getting impatient now and keeps telling the bump “it’s time to come out”

HanSpan1 · 17/09/2018 16:58

Sat in antenatal ward.... currently 41 + 6, just had the examination and pessary inserted.
From the examination my cervix is still right back and completely closed.
She could only get the pessary in so far as she has to go around babys head....
I think its going to be a long week!

OliveOrTwist · 17/09/2018 17:13

41+6, you are a trooper han I hope it goes quickly for you

Grazek · 17/09/2018 18:04

41+6 wow, hope you won’t have much longer

Katsanddogs · 17/09/2018 19:32

My plug came out 9 days before baby arrived! It's definitely a good sign that your cervix is getting ready 😊
Hope you got home Wonder and are both doing well.
Keeping fingers crossed for the rest of you.
(Get in the bedroom! We DTD and had a baby 30 hours later 😉😉)

LucyLou19 · 17/09/2018 19:41

@katsanddogs been having sex every day 🙄🙄so he’s defo not ready to arrive yet despite loosing all my plug xx

Hi mid-September Mamas. I’m 39 + 3, and woken up w. v. uncomfortable period pains and pressure. Had a successful sweep at 39+2, I’ve been on my ball all day, and DH & I DTD this eve so I’m rather hoping that this cramping is going to turn into something like labour! Just for fun, I might start a tally of how many times I’ve flushed the loo this eve!!

LucyLou19 · 18/09/2018 13:23

How’s it going @splendidsqueak7 xx

How's it going?
They think baby has jaundice so we're waiting to see if we need to go back in ☹️

LucyLou19 · 19/09/2018 12:50

@wonderstar my best friend had a baby 9th August and took them back in cos her little one had jaundice and wouldn’t go. 5 days he was under the light and lovely now xx

Well we've been told we need to go for blood test so we're on the way for that now. I gave birth Friday, let out Monday eve. Was really hoping not to need to go back xx

LucyLou19 · 19/09/2018 13:55

Oh wow how come you was in so long?xx

HanSpan1 · 19/09/2018 20:25

Well..... She’s here!!!!!!
Rosie Elizabeth arrived at 4.47am this morning weighing 8lb.8oz.
So i started the induction process and only needed the first pessary, in then turned into natural labour all the way.
I didnt get my ideal birth in the MLU, i missed out by 15 mins, if i entered established labour 15 mins earlier i could of gone to MLU, but nevermind she’s here and amazing.
I did all of labour with no pain relief. Apart from paracetamol, gas and air was stopping me from pushing so i just did it without.
I did tear quite bad, 2nd degree?? Put it this way, it took the doctor 1 and a half hours to stitch me up.
Get to go home tomorrow as ive had a catheter today.

Cant wait... in love so much.

LucyLou19 · 19/09/2018 21:09

Ohhh congratulations to you!! Lovely news xx

Oh no, sorry to hear that wonder. Hoping it was below treatment level or only needs a quick spell under the light.

Hope your silence means LO has arrived safe splendidsqueek

Congratulations hanspan! Well done. Get lots of rest. Hope you're not too sore.

How are you feeling Lucy?

LucyLou19 · 19/09/2018 21:52

@katsanddogs no change!! So fed up! Due date Friday just hoping the stretch and sweep works that day but I can’t see it! Xx

Congrats @HanSpan1 well done! Same initials for us, we've called our daughter Ruby Elise!

Thanks for the well wishes, she has got jaundice but not enough to need treatment. So we were in but then out again ready for tea time. Poor little thing has been through it today, we had heel prick tests this morning, then an eye test today at one hospital and then blood tests for jaundice at a different hospital.
Unfortunately she was born with a birth mark which covered her eye and I'm so pleased they got an appt for her already at only 5 days old!
Next thing is an MRI and an appt at GOSH for her birthmark.

We stayed in @Lucy as it was a pretty traumatic birth and she needed monitoring for a few days, along with checks as I'm on anti ds and they just needed to make sure they hadnt affected her in any way.
