beat I did what you said (after wrestling the ball off of my 2 year old) and there's still a little ache there but I'm much better than yesterday so I think your trick worked - thanks!

beatbox01 · 05/09/2018 20:33

Aw brill @half! I’m still here still preg still fed up lol think I’m just going to be pregnant forever 😂

OliveOrTwist · 06/09/2018 18:45

Oh no roeslein I've been having this for the past few days, especially at night and was hoping it would come to something. I'm not due for 10 days yet so I guess it could go on for a long time yet Sad

wonderstar1216 · 06/09/2018 20:37

I've got weird pains tonight but short and not regular. Maybe she's finally turning around and settling in. Wondering if it's braxton hicks but never had them before. How do they differ to normal contractions?
Been back at work 4 days, ankles are massive!

wonderstar1216 · 06/09/2018 20:38

@LucyLou19 well done for having the energy to do it! X

LucyLou19 · 06/09/2018 21:46

Zero energy levels but least it sorted my other half out haha! He’s not gonna get it for a while soon 😂😂😂😂 finished work now, hooray xx

Hi ladies,

I'm having the period-like pains too and more painful Braxton hicks. My bump gets really tense when I drive too (nervous driver) so I'm not sure how much longer to drive for.

@wonderstar perhaps it's different for different people but in my experience my bump tightens up and I get a wave of discomfort/light pain which doesn't last long. 1st baby so never had contractions but I'm told they're much much more painful.

wonderstar1216 · 06/09/2018 22:40

Yeah they are like period pains and they are random times and intervals (thought I better time them just in case!) my first was just straight into contractions and water broke at hospital and second was water broke at home and nothing so was induced 12 hours later so never had braxton.
Feels like someone is pushing little madam down but not in the right place 🤔

Anjied · 06/09/2018 22:52

Hi all
My first baby & having c section on Monday 10th. I can't believe how fast it has gone since finding out, remember thinking got ages & not its nearly here.
Pregnancy not been too bad just suffered from swollen ankles & feet lucky it's bn warm as can't get my feet in anything apart from sandals
Excited & nervous to meet our little girl

SlimGin · 07/09/2018 01:00

Sounds like braxtons then @wonder! Mine also feels like weird pushing, when it happens I look at my bump expecting it to look like it's being pushed out, feels so weird.

Ooh @anjied how exciting I hope you've got a nice pampering weekend ahead of you Smile

Katsanddogs · 07/09/2018 13:09

Hi all. Mind if I join?

Due on the 20th with my first baby. Didn't find out if it's a boy or girl so can't wait now. Had a presentation and growth scan yesterday and baby is nicely head down and measuring 6lbs 5oz (38 weeks) so likely to be a little one. I'm a NICU nurse though so this is good for me as I'm so used to tiny babies 😂.

I'm so ready to have this baby now! Getting more braxton hicks over the last week. (Sorry TMI) think I lost my mucus plug a couple of days ago but there wasn't any blood in it which the midwife said is unusual especially for first baby so probably doesn't mean labour is imminent but hopefully cervix is getting ready. Next appointment at 39+5 and I'll be requesting a sweep.

Hope we get some of these babies soon!

wonderstar1216 · 07/09/2018 19:06

Hi @Anjied I know the feeling with those swollen ankles!
Hi @Katsanddogs what an amazing job to work with those tiny babies all the time and now you get your own! Fingers crossed it's soon! X

SlimGin · 07/09/2018 23:55

@katsanddogs I'm due just 2 days after you, glad you're ready and your little surprise is getting into position!
At what stage can you ask for a sweep? Next MW appt is Monday when I'll be 38+2.

I've had such strong period pains today and can't get comfortable, feel restless.

LucyLou19 · 08/09/2018 07:09

You can ask for a sweep 40 weeks onwards. I had midwife yesterday at 38 weeks she booked me in incase I don’t go myself xx

My midwifes making me wait until 40+5 before she'll give me a sweep, which is annoying

littlemisssunshine81 · 08/09/2018 19:52

Hello ladies how is everyone today? I’m due on the 12th and feeling ok except for my poor pelvis which feels like it’s been on the rack 😩 and terrible acid at night stopping me from sleeping 😴.
Next MW appt is not till the 14th and not sure whether to have a sweep or not. Had one both previous times (this is baby #3) but whether or not it actually helped or was just a coincidence I have no idea!

wonderstar1216 · 12/09/2018 19:48

How is everyone? Waters broke at 2:30 this morning, went in, got checked and waiting for the contractions to ramp up but they keep slowing down. Really didn't want to be induced so fingers crossed she makes an appearance soon!

LucyLou19 · 12/09/2018 20:04

Oh wow!! Good luck hope things kick in for you!! Went to be examined This morning and on the monitor been having tightenings since 1am Tuesday morning, just need them to get closer together and more intense!! Fed up xx

OP posts:
wonderstar1216 · 12/09/2018 22:30

Same @LucyLou19 I'm bored at home. If nothing I'm allowed to ring up at 730 in the morning and then get induced. I have flooded the bathroom twice with water. Every pair of pants I own was ruined, had to send OH out for more as can't wash and dry quick enough! Been through 25 pads since this morning!

SlimGin · 13/09/2018 08:53

Good luck today @wonderstar1216 ! I imagine you're at the hospital now.

My BH have calmed down as have the period pains so feel like I'm even further away from anything happening now :( went for a long walk yesterday and will today.

splendidsqueak7 · 13/09/2018 09:04

Hullo fellow mums-to-be - aren’t we all glad the weather is a little cooler?! I think I’m experiencing pre-labour. Lost some mucus plug (TMI, soz!) and have bearable but fairly constant period cramps. Also waking up around 4am every morning, wide awake and keen to do things (my version of nesting I suppose: I was never going to be one to clean skirting boards!). How are people holding up with pre-labour?

wonderstar1216 · 13/09/2018 09:15

Thanks @SlimGin currently stuck in morning traffic! Can't wait to meet her! Xx

Katsanddogs · 13/09/2018 09:19

Good luck wonderstar!
1 week to my due date today. So ready to have this baby. I had some more mucus this morning, been losing it continuously since I lost my plug a week ago, but it had some blood in it this morning so hoping we're getting closer 🤞
I'm waking up every 2 hours overnight and I'm always awake for at least an hour around 3 or 4 too. I think I might sleep more when baby is here!
How's everyone doing?

LucyLou19 · 13/09/2018 09:21

Just lost this!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼Things are happening xx
