I'm 10-11DPO and just had BFP on a digital. I know it's incredibly early but looking at a due date March 3rd 2019!

Plenty of time to look into both and see how the pregnancy goes @pushit!

@ladycarlotta you'll be hard pushed to find absolutely any maternity ones with a wire. I had to ditch my wire when my boobs started going bezerk, it hurt even more with it. I think with the fluctuations of getting bigger and reducing throughout pregnancy and post preg, the wire can actually do more damage than good to the tissue. But that's just what I read last time....

ladycarlotta · 28/06/2018 16:29

@emmafh3 oh yes, I meant I'm desperate to return to non-wired bras. This underwiring is killing me.

Emmafh3 · 28/06/2018 16:38

My apologies! Can I blame pregnancy brain?

hamandpease · 28/06/2018 16:49

How'd everyone's eating?

I'm nauseous on and off but haven't been sick yet but am really off the idea of meat and can't get excited about anything interesting.

I'm getting worried I'm not eating vegetables / protein etc and baby is going to be affected by my new dry cracker diet Confused

Will try and force myself

Anyone lightheaded too? Hits me throughout the day for a few seconds at a time, not sure what this would be ConfusedConfusedConfused

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 17:00

I wish my boobs would get the grow bigger memo. I've had small ones all my life so I've been waiting for pregnancy hormones to change that. Hopefully in time! At the mo they look rather strange with massive nips lol!

@hamandpease I'm craving tuna pasta tonight so because I also feel bad for not eating enough veg I'm doing a side of broccoli lol! I had a veggie burger and crisps for lunch because that's all I fancied!! I've also been feeling light headed when I stand up.

ladycarlotta · 28/06/2018 17:07

@emmafh I was going to blame mine actually! I don't think I'm very articulate lately.

@hamandpease I'm eating OK but I think not much. In that I have meals - and by the evening I really want one - but they seem to be small, and I don't feel like snacking in between. I can't handle the thought of berries and yogurt (my normal breakfast), so I'm having toast instead. Depending how sick I feel, it can take an hour or two to eat.

Lunch and dinner have been salady veg with a protein - fish, chicken or cheese. Very few carbs. In this hot weather I'd usually have an iced coffee most afternoons, but I just never want it now. It doesn't help that dairy tastes really 'off' to me. I've also been entirely uninterested in ice cream, or chocolate of any sort. I'm drinking a LOT of very cold iced water with lemon, which seems to keep the nausea away.

So basically pregnancy is making me healthy? I don't know how much of that is down to the heat, but usually I'd be cracking out the Magnums. I bet in two weeks when the nausea really kicks in, I'll be on the crisp sandwich diet.

@redrobin7 yes! I am having a lot of thoughts about tuna too! Have eaten a LOT - I think we are allowed 4 cans a week. So that's OK.

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 17:17

@ladycarlotta That sounds very healthy! I've started planning next week's food shop and I've added lots of salady bits and some salmon. I don't like the slimey type just the steaks.

I wasn't sure how many tins of tuna but I probably only have one a week so that's fine. Does it matter how much salmon we have? I know cod is okay.

puravida31 · 28/06/2018 17:21

I’ve been all about the fish recently! Have done variation of fish & vegetables the last few nights. I’m finding I’m getting full quickly and def not snacking as much as usual. And gone right off anything sweet. Like @ladycarlotta it seems to have brought out a healthier version of me that was in hiding previously!

ladycarlotta · 28/06/2018 17:25

I think salmon is OK, esp as it has all the omega 3. The bigger the fish, the higher the potential mercury levels (hence the limits on tuna), but that also depends on where it's fished and I think salmon is usually not very mercuryish? Small but oily fish would be optimal, in the omega 3/mercury ratios. Fortunately I'm a mackerel fan.

ladycarlotta · 28/06/2018 17:29

@puravida31 that's it - I think it's feeling full. Don't know if it's due to bloating or what, but I definitely often feel stuffed right up to the point where I am suddenly peckish again. Swimming today, the pressure of the water on my stomach was enough to make me feel like I could throw up. I'd only had one piece of toast.

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 17:37

I'm having so much trouble with the app and posting today!

@ladycarlotta Good to know about the fish. Thanks! DH Just called me to say he doesn't want tuna pasta for dinner. Make your own then!

Interesting to know swimming made you feel sick. I didn't think that would happen. I was looking forward to getting in the pool soon but will make sure I'm not feeling weird first!

frankiefumbles · 28/06/2018 17:41

Re food, my mother (the same one that says I'll damage the baby if I ride my bike) says that it's normal to go off your food in the early days because it goes back to ye olde days when cavewoman might eat a poisonous mushroom. I'm not sure I believe it.

I don't fancy eating much at all, I've been living mostly on bottlegreen elderflower squash with fizzy water. I get hungry around 3/4ish for dinner, having not really had breakfast or lunch. Cook up what I fancy and think it looks grim and stinks...and then work up to eating it about an hour later. Bit rubbish really.

I've got a massive amount of bloating going on. I never normally bloat but this is like I've been to the carvery and done two all you can eat buffet dinners 🙄

Kittymumma · 28/06/2018 18:18

I feel like the bloated feeling is the main reason food doesn't seem as appealing for me. I'm so bloated then all of a sudden I'm hungry and it makes me feel sick lol. I have just stocked up on lots of nice fruit and veg as well as some ice poles lol they are great in the heat!

mostimproved · 28/06/2018 18:43

@hamandpease @RedRobin7 I had dizziness/lightheadedness and fainted a few times in my last pregnancy, and saw a cardiologist who said it was due to the increased blood flow to the baby, but I'm not sure if that would be the case this early on or if it's down to low blood sugar. I have ordered a 'baby on board' badge to wear on the tube/bus as I get very dizzy anyway, never mind being pregnant.

@ladycarlotta I'm also really put off by the thought of yoghurt and only want toast for breakfast, and dairy tastes off to me as well. I went out for lunch today and didn't order a dessert which is unheard of especially as I wasn't paying for it! So it seems pregnancy makes you healthy!

frankiefumbles · 28/06/2018 19:11

There's another thread over in ante-natal which you guys might like to join. I believe it's where the "official" baby bus threads usually are. Hop on if you like - everyone there is talking about lost appetite!

frankiefumbles · 28/06/2018 19:12

Maybe this link will work

barleyfive · 28/06/2018 19:37

Me! And I am already exhausted (in bed by 8), hungry and bloated- dread to think it will be like in the coming weeks, but trying to embrace it!

Emmafh3 · 28/06/2018 20:20

😭I want symptoms! All I have is a little Insomnia and I don't know of that's the heat, anxiety over a miscarriage or actual pregnancy.
And today lower back ache, like somebody is stabbing me. Again, pregnancy related, early sign of mc or just picking up dd all day?

I think all babes in the first trimester are suited to a car ker and liquid diet, thank goodness they have their yolk nutrients for the next handful of weeks!

hamandpease · 28/06/2018 20:23

@mostimproved despite visiting London weekly/ twice a week I can't have a badge as I don't live in Greater London Angry

pushit · 28/06/2018 20:37

@hamandpease I didn't live in london for my last pregnancy and got a badge. Is it a new rule? Surely anyone who is pregnant should have one?! You could make your own if they're going to be stingy about it.

Loz604 · 28/06/2018 20:41

Hi. I’ve been getting feint positives on internet cheapy tests. Due 7th March according to the app

Due March 2019
RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 20:42

@pushit @hamandpease You can probably get one on eBay maybe?

mostimproved · 28/06/2018 20:42

@hamandpease that seems a bit unfair on people who travel into London for work. I wonder if you can get them from the ticket office though? Or get it delivered to wherever you visit in London!
