I'm 10-11DPO and just had BFP on a digital. I know it's incredibly early but looking at a due date March 3rd 2019!

It's a course of antenatal classes. It's generally the most popular and well known but can be expensive

TheOneWithTheBaby · 20/07/2018 06:27

According to the due date calculator I'm now 4+5 and I don't feel great. Today I have the biggest rings under my eyes and I feel exhausted. I don't have morning sickness but feel quite queasy for most of the day. My bowel movements have also changed. I did think it might be a bit early for all of this? I don't know.

I just registered my
Interest in the NCT classes after reading this.

Hans123 · 20/07/2018 07:35

@theonewiththebaby
Hey. Congratulations it's certainly not too early I'm feeling the same constantly tired to the point I feel like I've done all-nighters I'm 6+2 today and it's not easing up yet x

HarlennJerome · 20/07/2018 07:39

Hi again, on the subject of first appointments mine looks like its going to be a good few weeks. I'm 6+1 but moving areas so registering with a new GP.
Went to do that last Friday, was told they only accept new patient forms on Thursday 🤔. So I returned yesterday and now I've been booked to see the health care assistant in 2 weeks. After that I can book an appointment with the GP who can then refer me to the midwives.
So I'm going to be at least 9 weeks before I'm even referred. Am I stressing over nothing or will that be a problem?

HidCat · 20/07/2018 07:44

@HarlennJerome it shouldn't be a problem but find out the phone number for the midwives so you can chase. Ask your GP about the scan referral and whether you've missed any deadlines for blood tests as that will be the main concern. Just bear in mind that many women don't seek care until 8/9 weeks anyway.

cardboard33 · 20/07/2018 07:46

@anxiousannie18 I'm in the Kingston area, you? It's our first pregnancy too, so really excited, we had a year of babies last year where all of our friends started popping them out so we are hoping to get advice from them once we share our news. Have you gone private to get the 8 week scan?

@leighdinglady Not surprised, Brighton is basically London on Sea!! We also have friends who have moved out to there... I think it's the same with nurseries here, particularly the ones at our work. It feels stupid that we are already shelling out money and emotional effort into something that's barely bigger than a grain of rice... But I guess that's prep for the future.

Good luck with all of your scans ladies!!

leighdinglady · 20/07/2018 07:50

@TheOneWithTheBaby yep. My guts are awful and I'm only 4 weeks! I have IBS at the best of times and pregnancy/cycle hormones trigger it. It was awful during my last pregnancy

Anxiousannie18 · 20/07/2018 08:29

@cardboard33 We’re in between Wimbledon and Tooting, so not too far away! Yes we’re having a scan in Wimbledon tomorrow which we’ve done privately as I just really wanted to put my mind at rest that everything’s as it should be. Then need to book NCT all being well.

Good luck to everyone with scans coming up xxx

Charlotte1x · 20/07/2018 08:52

Hi all, just thought I’d check in again. I’m 4+5, not been too bad symptom wise so far. Just had the usual. Sore boobs, feeling very tired, very strong sense of smell and a bit off my food.

today is the worst so far though, I’ve always struggled with bad acid reflux particularly at night and last night it was really bad. I’m on prescribed ranitidine but now that I’m pregnant my doctor has lowered the dose and I think I’m really feeling the affects :( so very tired and groggy today.

A bit worried that it’s only going to get worse from here too, I keep reminding myself that it’s all worth it. I’ve got a big fear of being sick as well, not been sick for years. Sorry to moan, think I’m just a bit emotional and down today :( xxx

TopsyTurvyK29 · 20/07/2018 08:58

Thanks @Leighdinglady I thought I was missing out on something.
I'm 8 weeks today and feeling really tired now. It's difficult as I have another 2 children here to keep entertained too. My first midwife appointment is next Tuesday. So excited!!

myotherbagisgucci · 20/07/2018 08:59

Hi @Charlotte1x I have developed super bad reflux as well, so I definitely feel your pain. Flowers My doctor has prescribed me omeprazole which has really helped!

From what I've read online it's at its worst during your first and third trimester!

leighdinglady · 20/07/2018 09:05

I feel your pain @TopsyTurvyK29 My 7 month old has decided 4am is awake time!

Angelmiracle · 20/07/2018 12:14

I'm 4+5 today (but only 13dpo!!) due 24th March- 2 days after my birthday 🎉

Still poas because I still have a few left!

user1487864041 · 20/07/2018 13:36

Hi ladies, congratulations!
I discovered on Monday I'm pregnant with my second....My baby is only 19 weeks so the shock is still wearing off! Unsure exactly how far I am but estimating 5/6weeks and due late March. My son will be 1 on 8th March lol!
No symptoms really yet but with my ds I didn't get nausea til around 8 weeks and thankfully it wasn't too bad. Just have some bloating and a change in bowel movements. Hoping for another healthy pregnancy especially with a baby to look after.
Just praying everything is ok as hubby and I went out on Sat night (first time baby free) and i had quite a bit to drink so hoping it's not affected anything.
Been to see GP yesterday and hoping to get our scan before we go on holiday on 15th Sept.
Exciting times ahead!

greenbakini2 · 20/07/2018 13:47

hey everyone, im currently 10 weeks on my first!! really anxious so appreciate all yo7r advice on here xx

Angelmiracle · 20/07/2018 14:14

@SAS2806 congratulations!! So sorry to hear about your miscarriages 💐 FX a very happy healthy 9 months for you 🤞

@user1487864041 wow that would be a shock with a new born! There's only 14 months between my brother and I and we are very close! I'm sure the drinks won't have done harm- it happens to a lot of women!

@greenbakini2 congratulations it's a wonderful experience!!

I seen GP yesterday she is referring me for booking in appointment and hospital of choice for birth 😲 It's so surreal! Going to community midwife next Monday!

TheOneWithTheBaby · 21/07/2018 08:10

@Hans123, thanks for your response. It just feels that I've barely missed a period, so I am surprised I felt so ill! Glad to know others are the same.

@leighdinglady I have IBS as well. Sorry it's flaring up for you too! I do often have problems during my time of the month as well, so not really surprised this is happening now.

Is anyone else's DP still a bit shocked about the news? Due to my medical history I was told we'd prob take a long time to conceive, and now it's happened the second month without contraception. He said he thought we'd have more time to safe somehow. Don't get me wrong, he is excited and this baby is definitely wanted, I just think it's come as a bit of an early shock and he is currently really worried about some
Aspects.

leighdinglady · 21/07/2018 09:19

@TheOneWithTheBaby yes both DH and myself if I'm honest.

We're thrilled. We really are. We always wanted two close together, but it was a bit of a shock to come so soon! I only got my period back three months ago after DD and am still breast feeding. We both thought it might happen in the winter so it's a bit earlier than expected.

How old is your LO?

Baby160P · 21/07/2018 09:35

@leighdinglady my OH was surprised but he is now very excited.

Our very much wanted baby was conceived on the contraceptive pill so was a lovely big surprise.

I guess it takes time to sink in.

We worry financially etc but we can do it!

Sictransitgloria · 21/07/2018 10:18

Tentatively place marking. Got a bfp on a frer today so only 4 weeks pregnant. Had a mc in Nov so feeling quite nervous.

Angelmiracle · 21/07/2018 11:37

Sictransitgloria · 21/07/2018 11:52

PurpleFlower1983 · 21/07/2018 13:59

I have my early scan at 4pm today, but nervous but now I’m thinking whatever will be will be.
