OBVIOUSLY I have changed my name.

We have 2 kids. Dp does not want more. Our second child in particular was a bloody hard baby.

I don't especially want more

dp really really really doesn't want any more.

period has not arrived today.

Very very faint line on all the seven tests I have done so far.

crappola. PLEASE be nice, don't tell me I am a fool and an eegit.

I had plans for my life, I am not THAT young and I need to get on with them if I am to Make Something Of Myself.

Crap.

OK, I?ve only read half of the messages so I may be repeating what someone else has said, but every baby is different, every pregnancy is different. If your second was harder than the first, who?s to say no. 3 will be as hard or harder than no.2?! It?s sooooo easy to say this, but it strikes me that worrying and regretting won?t improve your experience throughout the pregnancy, birth and beyond.

But I?m really feeling for you, we really cannot afford to have another baby until dd is in school so it?s getting to the point where I?m reluctant to have sex with dh just in case. My God, that?s the first time I?ve even admitted that to myself! We got preggers the first time we tried so I know how easy it can be!

I totally know what you mean about abortion ? I?m ardently pro-choice, but know I couldn?t do it myself. My neighbour?s 19yo daughter has just had one and her mother has been so judgemental, it breaks my heart to think what that poor girl went through with her mother being so unsupportive.

I?m sure it?ll be really hard and stressful coming to terms with it, but good luck, I?m sure it will all be fine ? these things happen for a reason.

NuttyMuffins · 23/05/2007 10:52

Just wanted to say that my second baby was a complete nightmare, a non sleeping and all screaming model, and she carried on until she was about 3.

My 3rd however was a complete dream and slotted in to the family like he had always been there.

fillyjonk · 23/05/2007 10:54

he is still not HAPPY

he is accepting that i cannot cope with a termination

he is still saying that he cant cope

i am going to take the kids down to my parents for a week or two, i think. he clearly needs space

DumbledoresGirl · 23/05/2007 10:57

What is it he feels he can't cope with Filly? You clearly need to do some talking together, just to understand what each other feels about this and to see if things are really as "un-copeable-with" as he thinks they are.

Oh, and I have been dying to ask: what made you test if you were not trying to get pregnant and your period was not due until today?

fillyjonk · 23/05/2007 10:58

oh lol

aaargh

ok

do you want to know? i fear it will be tmi...

SenseiAitch · 23/05/2007 10:59

oh filly...

it'll be okay, it'll be A Good Thing. You just need a bit of time to get your head round everything and so does he.

SenseiAitch · 23/05/2007 11:00

i do want to know, actually. (bet this x-posts, making me look a right numpty)

DumbledoresGirl · 23/05/2007 11:01

TMI? Deffo!!!!! Spill the beans!

fillyjonk · 23/05/2007 11:05

oh ok

i had bleeding (spotting really) on sunday

i assumed it was just a usual period bleed, though it was 4 days early

but then nothing

so after 2 nights of insomnia (I get insomnia when pg) and weeing all night (bloody fab when camping alone with 2 toddlers ) I thought, ooh.

i had some antique tests from when testing for dd (I do like to be thorough in these matters so order in 10 packs).

DumbledoresGirl · 23/05/2007 11:06

Come on! I have to get ds3 from playgroup soon....

DumbledoresGirl · 23/05/2007 11:06

Oops crossed posts.

Oh. You call that TMI?

SenseiAitch · 23/05/2007 11:09

filly are you starting to get a weeny bit excited?

fillyjonk · 23/05/2007 11:10

oh feck

i just got 2 x essays back from my tutors (OU)

I got

96%

and

93%

I don't really want to put all this on hold

SenseiAitch · 23/05/2007 11:11

do you have a hammock, fils? this baby will sleep. it will.

fillyjonk · 23/05/2007 11:13

hmm

well i don't, no.

and one thing about BOTH my babies was that they WOULD NOT sleep, or indeed consent to exist, lying down. This caused difficulties, esp at 3 am.

But i must say that they look rather cute and funky and that, surely, is important

CarGirl · 23/05/2007 11:15

did you take either of them to a cranial osteopath?
