OBVIOUSLY I have changed my name.

We have 2 kids. Dp does not want more. Our second child in particular was a bloody hard baby.

I don't especially want more

dp really really really doesn't want any more.

period has not arrived today.

Very very faint line on all the seven tests I have done so far.

crappola. PLEASE be nice, don't tell me I am a fool and an eegit.

I had plans for my life, I am not THAT young and I need to get on with them if I am to Make Something Of Myself.

Crap.

fillyjonk · 23/05/2007 11:17

dd yes i did

will def do that again, and early

DumbledoresGirl · 23/05/2007 11:17

The third can be different. By the time you are on to your third, you eldest is probably at school or playgroup or wherever and you just don't have the time to indulge the baby like you did the others. When I had my fourth, he used to get a bit of a feed before the school run and then literally, I would pull him off the breast, shove him in the pram, do the school run as he hollared for more food, then he would fall asleep on the way home, once home he would be unceremoniously woken up and shoved back on the breast to finish his feed.

After daily treatment like that, younger children learn to fit in much more quickly than, what is the phrase? PFB?

SenseiAitch · 23/05/2007 11:17

i'd seriously consider trying the hammock this time. you can get them for about £100-ish on ebay with all the bits and bobs. that's bloody brilliant on the essay front, were either of them the one that you got MN to write?

morningpaper · 23/05/2007 11:19

Well I have a 20 month old and a 4 year old

Last night I got out of bed over 20 times

My No Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers says I need to keep a Sleep Diary but I will be writing all night and I think it will kill me

I was thinking I could put marbles in a jar to find the EXACT number of times I get of of bed....

They are LOVELY and well behaved during the day though

morningpaper · 23/05/2007 11:20

oh sorry that was all about me

CarGirl · 23/05/2007 11:21

book the cranial appt before you go into labour!

fillyjonk · 23/05/2007 11:22

oh sleep, sleep, am feckin myself here

actually its not too bad, ds and dd are down by about 9 now, often earlier, with gives us an hour or two.

lol at essay MN wrote! no, haven't got that one back yet, these were both maths

PregnantGrrrl · 23/05/2007 11:23

oh morningpaper

i found trying to write a sleep do-dah was pointless too. All i found in the morning was garbled, scrawled nonsense, so i gave up.

cupcakes · 23/05/2007 11:24

congratulations Filly. My third baby is now 5 months old and she is the easiest of the three.
Good luck with your dh.
xx

oliveoil · 23/05/2007 11:25

Dd1 coughed from 4.21am (I know because I said to dh "ffs it's f 4.21 IN THE MORNING") until 5ish

then I nodded off

dd2 has remained in her cot for the past 3 nights but she is just playing with us, you mark my words

what are you doing at college, can you envisage slotting work in at all or is that an impossibilty?

morningpaper · 23/05/2007 11:28

lol pregnantgrrrl yes I think if I try to write a sleep diary I will wake in the morning and find scribbled pictures of the Devil or something

oliveoil · 23/05/2007 11:31

lol

I did one with dd2 ages ago and it started off polite

12.01 awake for 5 mins, settled down with bf
12.42 awake, same
1.06 AWAKE
2.30 ffs

etc

morningpaper · 23/05/2007 11:34

katierocket · 23/05/2007 19:26

congrats filly
And can I just say that this made me smile:

"and one thing about BOTH my babies was that they WOULD NOT sleep, or indeed consent to exist, lying down. This caused difficulties, esp at 3 am.

But i must say that they look rather cute and funky and that, surely, is important"

I think you must be thinking of my two surely...
