Wrong Due date?

Deanna9 · 03/06/2018 10:20

I have a question about my due date, I and my partner think it's wrong going on what we know about ovulation.

Period on the 30th Sept 17- 3rd Oct 17

Sex on the 6 oct 17

Sex on the 20th oct 17

Period on the 21st oct 17- 23rd Oct 17

This makes conception after the 20th impossible so how is my due date the 6th sug 18.

Ive not had sex at all since the 20th of October so I know I can't have gotten pregnant after that.

Because it was every 21 days from age 11 till age 20, where irregular till age 24 due to issues with contraceptives was off everything for 6 months till I got pregnant with my first at 24.
Stopped bleeding 7 days after birth. Bled again 2 weeks later for 3 days asked my doctor and was told it must be a period. Bled again 21 days later for 3 days and did so until my positive test on the 10th nov.

I keep track of periods for exactly this reason and because I was told too by my doctors as contraceptives cause migraines where I cant function for weeks due to the hormones in them and I refuse to have a copper coil for personal reasons.

You had your child 12th June bled for 7 days so 19h June. Period two weeks later so 3rd July?

Thesearmsofmine · 05/06/2018 15:49

So period every 21 days from 3rd July would be 24th July, 14th August and so on until a period on 6th November which if your lmp and a 21 day cycle would give a due date of 6th August according to the NHS predictor.

myrtleWilson · 05/06/2018 15:56

thanks thesearms was just trying to count the days! So OP should have had a period on 25th September - but she's saying that was the 30th October and in October period due on 16th not 21st - so either periods are not 21 day cycle or the recording of all bodily acts is out somehow?!

Lordy - have never been so invested in someone else's pregnancy!

Dobbythesockelf · 05/06/2018 16:10

This thread is enthralling. You make notes of sex and periods etc but they don't tie in at all with the dates of this pregnancy or even when you had your last baby. You think something strange must be happening with your body but it can't be that you've had an odd period cause that would never happen to you. I can't wait to hear what the consultant has to say.

ShowOfHands · 05/06/2018 17:43

I'm wondering if you're posting with an agenda or you've simply made a mistake and written down the wrong dates. Not sure what's most likely.

The other worrying possibility is that your fiance is reading this with you and you need to make your dates fit to appease him. A man who writes down when you've had sex, when you have a period, refuses sex when you're pregnant? I very much hope this isn't the case.

There's little else to say on here in the absence of honesty or acceptance. It's almost 100% impossible to make your dates fit but instead of accepting that, you're clinging to wild theories and miscalculations. Who knows why.

BlueBug45 · 05/06/2018 17:52

@ShowOfHands there are several apps you can use to track your periods plus when you had intercourse and other things, so it's likely the OP used one of these.

They also give you your average cycle length. However this is worked out in different ways depending on the app, and the better apps explain to you that even if you have a regular menstrual cycle it will vary by a few days as humans aren't robots.

However if the OP can't understand the basic information on this thread how pregnancy is calculated then she won't understand the errors in the apps in calculating average cycle length.

ShowOfHands · 05/06/2018 18:01

@BlueBug45 The op specifically says they wrote it down on two separate calendars and inputted it on a phone calendar. She says her fiance records dates they have sex because he refuses sex when she's pregnant.

I was merely thinking out loud about why somebody would insist upon the impossible despite all evidence to the contrary.

Galadrielsring · 07/06/2018 08:46

Have you seen the consultant yet?

Changedmaname · 10/06/2018 11:12

Suspect we won't see the OP again!

Rowse · 12/06/2018 13:53

Am I right in thinking you had an appointment to see the consultant yesterday @Deanna9 ?
Hope you managed to get some answers!

Deanna9 · 12/06/2018 13:58

He says it could be slightly off, and there's a tiny possibility of conceiving on the 20th and the scans just out by a few days.

OP posts:
MyDcAreMarvel · 12/06/2018 15:14

What all the scans were off?

Galadrielsring · 12/06/2018 15:18

OP is living in a dream world. The scans wouldn’t be out by a month. I doubt she even see a consultant.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 12/06/2018 15:23

I imagine, having experienced OP, that people often tell her what she wants to hear, regardless of its accuracy, in order to make her give over.

FellOutOfBed2wice · 12/06/2018 15:30

Not RTFT but my daughter was born on July 5th, 3 days before her due date, when my LMP date was September 30th. Pretty sure she was conceived on October 15th.

unicorncow · 12/06/2018 15:42

A few days doesn't equal a few weeks though!

MyDcAreMarvel · 12/06/2018 15:43

*Out not off
Op you will update when you give birth won’t you?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 12/06/2018 15:48

Hmm If you say so.

Takfujuimoto · 12/06/2018 16:17

Is your DP satisfied with the consultants answer Deanna9?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 12/06/2018 16:21

He says it could be slightly off, and there's a tiny possibility of conceiving on the 20th and the scans just out by a few days.

I think it's possible that the consultant said this, to avoid getting into the long argument that occurred on this thread. After all, it isn't at all clinically relevant. Did he also say you should leave your due date (and so date for induction if overdue) exactly where it is?

FellOutOfBed2wice · 12/06/2018 18:17

Okay now I HAVE read the full thread and I am totally baffled.

unicorncow · 12/06/2018 19:04

@FellOutOfBed2wice none of it makes sense, there's no way she conceived on 20th Oct, scans can be a few days out but not 3 weeks!
