I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

@TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong - it was OK actually. Managed to resist eating every second of the day and I don't think anyone noticed? I also did a sneaky test (I think I have a problem) too and like you, line came up before the control one!! I should probably stop too (we'll see). I'm just waiting to see if morning sickness kicks in as feel pretty normal at the moment xx

hayleyfx · 04/06/2018 18:49

Welcome to everyone else who has joined and congrats on your bfp’s! Fingers crossed for lots of healthy and happy pregnancies 😊

Egbeds · 04/06/2018 19:13

Hi everyone, I'm really pleased to have found this thread! I got my BFP on Sunday morning so still processing things but very happy as have been TTC for 6 months now. According to the NHS my due date is 11th Feb but I know I ovulate pretty late so I guess it could be earlier.

So far have had pretty continuous nausea that only stops when I'm eating or have just eaten so hoping this isn't a sign of things to come or I'll be the size of a house!

I've also done 3 tests (in less than 24 hours) just to make sure so will also be bankrupted.

I'm also trying not to obsessively search for early miscarriage symptoms, I honestly don't know how to get through the next couple of months until the 'safer' weeks but I'm panicking with every tiny twinge.

Phew. Glad to be getting that out, I haven't told anyone (except DH obviously) but have surprised myself a bit with all the crazy!

Looking forward to sharing the baby journeys with you ladies :)

maxiflump1 · 04/06/2018 19:15

Hi ladies. Tentatively joining you all on here! Had BFP last week and due date of 7th February. Have a 3 year old DS already and had a mmc back in February so feeling a bit anxious at the mo! Recognise quite a few names from the TTC after mc board. Seems like a lot of us have had mc so here's hoping for lots of sticky beans this time!!

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 04/06/2018 19:31

@KimRobs87 yes! I'm waiting for morning sickness too! I got it about 6weeks until about 14weeks. Was horrendous but at the same time a relief that things were progressing! Like you say, it doesn't really seem real atm

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 04/06/2018 19:32

Hi @maxiflump1 and @Egbeds congrats!

KimRobs87 · 04/06/2018 19:51

@Egbeds - it's totally normal. If you're crazy then so are pretty much all pregnant women ever 😊

@TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong - I had it too with my first but not too bad really. From about week 6 - 12 but mainly mornings. I think it was when I let myself get even the slightest but hungry x

Hi everyone that's joined - congratulations xx

hayleyfx · 04/06/2018 19:59

@maxiflump1 nice to see you here hun! I know how worried you are, I’m feeling exactly the same. We’re all here for you! Hope it’s a very uneventful and happy pregnancy for you 🤞

@Egbeds I know how you’re feeling. It’s so hard! However we just have to stay as positive as possible and we’re all here if you need others to vent to 😊 fingers crossed for a healthy, happy pregnancy!

MamaSarai · 04/06/2018 20:31

Hello everyone, can I join?

Got our BFP last Tuesday, been equal parts nervous and overjoyed ever since! This will be our first, due date is Feb 4th right now until the midwife confirms otherwise. No real symptoms yet except very tired and VERY bloated. Feeling so fat right now but I know it’s going to get 10 times worse 😂

Congrats to all the other mamas! Fingers crossed for a smooth first trimester and beyond 🤞🏻

ronniemipperton · 04/06/2018 20:58

Welcome and congrats to everyone who’s joined in the last couple of days!

I tried to go running on the treadmill at the gym this morning and couldn’t because my boobs hurt too much! I tried holding onto them for a bit but had to abandon ship and do more leisurely exercises instead Blush

maxiflump1 · 04/06/2018 21:14

Hi @hayleyfx waves! Finally plucked up the courage to come over!

@MamaSarai I know exactly what you mean about about bloating. I'm just waiting for the constipation to kick in: pretty much lived on laxido during my first pregnancy Smile

laurie7 · 05/06/2018 03:07

Hi ladies, sorry I’ve been AWOL for a few days and can’t seem to catch up with everything (have changed my name from baby4u52) hope everyone’s doing ok.I think I have pregnancy insomnia 😩 they teamed with the high pollen here is not good!

laurie7 · 05/06/2018 03:09

Oh I forgot to say congrats to all the newcomers, it’s so exciting and scary at the same time! I have resisted the urge to do anymore pregnancy tests and sometimes think am I definitely pregnant but then I get a reminder.

Nightshifthell · 05/06/2018 06:03

I got positive test having a early scan today due to previous ectopic have stomach ache but cant tell if it's normal or ectopic again

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 05/06/2018 06:27

Hope all goes well @Nightshifthell!

Namechangefortmi · 05/06/2018 06:58

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong thank you

Chocodrops · 05/06/2018 07:51

So exciting to see new people joining, congratulations everyone! May was a fruitful month 😉

Has anyone successfully distracted themselves or found another coping strategy for first trimester worries? I'm not doing myself any favours spending every spare minute on Google.

Also the new GDPR rules are so frustrating 😡 Like, I need to suppress the crazy NOW, so yes I will give BabyCentre access to ALL my data 😅

Wellthisunexpected · 05/06/2018 08:47

Ooh, lots of new people. Welcome! All the best for your early scan Nightshifthell.

My IBS is really flaring at the moment. In some ways this is a good thing as it also happened with DS but not good as I feel crap!

Morning sickness, well nausea is starting too. 5+2 today. Seems like time is standing still.

laurie7 · 05/06/2018 11:49

Has anyone joined a Facebook group or should we start one if there’s not one already started that I’ve missed?

Gael86 · 05/06/2018 11:55

I am on this train! Just got my BFP, due date 11th Feb according to NHS site... maybe a wee Valentine's baby??? Had a miscarriage last time so keeping everything crossed!

Egbeds · 05/06/2018 13:21

Thanks @kimrobs87 and @maxiflump1 and congrats to everyone else! Glad we have a good group to share the crazy with.

GetInMyNelly · 05/06/2018 13:57

Booking in appointment has been booked for 29th.

3.3 weeks away Sad at least it's this month though!

jeanzbeanz · 05/06/2018 16:12

I'm so desperate to get a due date and know how far on I am, but I'm a bit confused when it is. Can anyone help me make an educated guess?

LMP was 24-29 April
Cycles vary, anywhere from 30 to 50+ days, but usually in the early 30s
I was predicting ovulation by watching my CM, and DTD on 15 May.
We then went away for a weekend and I had more fertile CM while we were away, which was annoying cos we were staying with friends. But DTD again anyway when we were back on 20th May.

I made myself wait until I thought my period was definitely due before I did a test, which was on 1st June, and got a really strong positive. Did a ClearBlue one on 2nd June which said I was 2-3 weeks pg.

It seems more likely I conceived from DTD on 15th rather than 20th, but even that seems to be a bit later than what my tests are predicting? I think they were the only two times we DTD this cycle Blush apart from very early on

I have a private scan booked for Friday next week which you must be at least 6 weeks for. It will be 2 weeks exactly since I got my first positive test, will I definitely be six weeks by then?

jeanzbeanz · 05/06/2018 16:18

@Chocodrops glad it's not just me who is glued to google. I'm so much more anxious than I thought I would be. Just got the Ovia app after some recommendations on here (love it, although it's maddening not knowing what due date to enter!) and planning to buy a couple of books to read. I'm a photographer so am trying to get lots of shoots booked and also plan to finish my course, and just keep busy basically!

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 05/06/2018 16:52

@jeanzbeanz I reckon I ovulated and conceived around the 15th too, that puts me at 5weeks exactly today, going by my last period I'm 5+4. I reckon you'll be over 6weeks by next Friday 👍
