I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

I am 5 weeks today and have sickness mornings and evenings, literally wake up and I'm sick... then evenings as soon as I eat I am sick... feeling so drained at the moment Sad pretending to feel ok at work is hard.
I know it's for a good cause, just shattered... any advice on how to help with the sickness? Xx

Babybeany · 19/06/2018 09:24

@Bluelagoon25 maybe contact your gp if it’s really bad. My friend tried those palma violet sweets. Hope it eases soon for you x

kahstorm · 19/06/2018 09:43

Hi Everyone! I hope you don't mind me joining. Got my BFP last week and according to the nhs calculator I am due 18th Feb. So it should make me 5 weeks. No big symptoms for me, just some back ache every now and then and awful headaches! I have also had a rotten cold for the last week, which hasn't helped! Congratulations to everyone. X

Celebelly · 19/06/2018 09:55

I've found Rennies help me with queasiness. I just suck on one of the peppermint ones and it takes the edge off.

Babybeany · 19/06/2018 09:58

Welcome and congratulations @kahstorm we have the same edd! Do you know when your first scan is yet? X

kahstorm · 19/06/2018 10:05

@Babybeany No I haven't yet. Have you? I went to the doctors last Thursday, who turned around and asked if I wanted to keep the baby! After getting angry I filled in some forms and then the doctor said I should hear from the midwife in a few weeks. So hopefully I will hear soon. X

Muffin7 · 19/06/2018 10:13

Can I join? Got my bfp last week, if all goes well due 24th Feb (but will have c.section a week earlier). Had an early miscarriage in March so cautiously excited for baby no.3, when this one is born will have a 2yr old and a 1yr old Shock

Bluelagoon25 · 19/06/2018 10:22

@Babybeany thank you, someone suggested ginger biscuits and they are going down a treat

@Celebelly thank you, I might try those too!

Nice to have everyone in the same boat, I'm just taking it as a good sign that I feel so ill... just hope it's not for the whole pregnancy! X

Muffin7 · 19/06/2018 10:47

@bluelagoon25 I used to eat the minute I opened my eyes when I was pregnant with my first 2, I would have a pack of jaffa cakes next to the bed. Also, font let yourself get hungry as then you will feel sick again. If it's any help, with both of my first two I felt sick week 6 to 16 then after that I felt great.

Babybeany · 19/06/2018 11:02

@kahstorm I had to register online to get a midwife. I have an appointment for my first scan on the 10th August but I’m yet to meet up with my midwife at my local surgery for the first appointment to fill in all the forms and relevant paperwork etc. When did you get your bfp? I have similar symptoms to you, no nausea (yet...) but I get exhausted half way through the day and I have lower back pain. X

TheMagicTorch · 19/06/2018 11:06

I normally don't eat breakfast until I've been up for about two hours but I'm waking up starving now!
Lower back ache has been the worst for me so far, otherwise not feeling too bad.

Just registered with our new GP as we moved house, so waiting to get on the system then can ring and make my first appointment Smile

TheMagicTorch · 19/06/2018 11:07

@Muffin7 Hi Smile If all goes well I should be due around 26th Feb with my first. Hope everything goes well for you lovely xx

Alicejj8x · 19/06/2018 11:12

@Babybeany ah that does reassure me. How many weeks are you?
I am the exact same I never get sick or when poorly really! So I'm
Hoping the same
As you where as the sickness side wouldn't really affect me.

One boob is abit sore today and the other is fine aha lol other than that I'm feeling pretty fine. A few cramps in the lower belly on one side but nothing major and Last for seconds. Got a scan next week so here's to hoping it's all ok

Has anyone had progesterone supplements for any Mc? I've got a phone call with doc tmo and I'm
Debating wether to ask for it or not?

Babybeany · 19/06/2018 11:16

@Alocejj8x I am 5+1 so not very far in at all. Ooh! A scan next week?! How exciting! My cramping only seems to happen when I start to overdo it. Nips are really tender at the moment though! 😖

Bluelagoon25 · 19/06/2018 11:19

@Muffin7 thank you! Yes I think I will start putting food by my bed. I always have a drink first thing but end up throwing it up so will try some food..!
I'm just snacking throughout the day to try and keep it at bay.
That's good to hear, hopefully won't have it for any longer. X

Alicejj8x · 19/06/2018 11:27

@Babybeany ahh I think I'm about 4/5 weeks but not 100% at all

Yeah so I am under the fertility clinic and they like to do early scans usually every 2 weeks !!
So next wed is the scan & I'm super super worried and nervous already I think coz of the last 2 MC this one is just extra nervous.

I'm so worried about lack of symptoms
And then obsessing about why I haven't got sickness yet etc etc
I have sore boobs tiredness and cramps here and there but that it atm
Really

Ahh no doo you!! Just a little reminder baby is there lol. Have you got any scans booked in or x

Petypop · 19/06/2018 11:28

Hello, and congratulations, in the past 14 months we had 3 miscarriages, all around 7 weeks. I am now 9 weeks so the furthers and due date is 24th January. I am so scared, constantly worried, had two scans already due to the miscarriages and all seems to be going well, however I am still worried as my last pregnancy I had scan at 7 weeks due to some pains, and saw the baby and heartbeat but at 9 weeks scan we were told baby died shortly after the previous scan and I was having missed miscarriage. So I just keep taking every day as it comes and waiting for 16 weeks till I can hopefully relax and enjoy it.
You are only a week or so after me :)

Alicejj8x · 19/06/2018 11:36

@Petypop I am so sorry to hear about your losses I know the feeling all too well it's horrible isn't it and the constant worry with this pregnancy is awful

My fingers question crossed do you and all seems to be going well for you so far :)
Just goes to show even after 2 losses there is hope xxx

Petypop · 19/06/2018 11:48

@Alicejj8x thank you, yes after our 3rd miscarriage I have lost hope, I am 39 years old I started to worry so much that my time is over, this time I do feel very different, I am so ill, not been sick much, but the nausea and the weakness, and I am constantly exhausted, I actually to an extend enjoy feeling so ill it makes me feel like everything is ok. But I have friends who have not been sick or nauseous at all, everybody shows differently. Food doesnt effects me but I cant stand any cleaning products, shampoos, shower gel and even toothpaste, so cleaning my teeth is a challenge, mornings are ok but evening I am in bed by 8 because I feel so ill. I am still absolutely petrified every single day, but I have somehow managed to relax and just take each day as it comes. To be fair I didn't start to feel really ill till I was 6 weeks. I have a friend who suffered late pregnancy loss and talking to her helps me a lot and I am grateful for her support.

Babybeany · 19/06/2018 12:20

@Alicejj8x My first scan isn’t until 10th August so I have an eternity to wait! I’m going to go for an early scan around week 8 though to see if we have a heartbeat as we mmcd at 6-7 weeks last time.
I told my mum today as we are seeing her weekend after next and she would’ve wanted to share a bottle of wine. She was giving me all her pearls of wisdom! 🤣
@Petypop sounds like you have had a horrible journey! Fx for this sticky bean! Xx

Alicejj8x · 19/06/2018 12:37

@Petypop
Ahh yeah bless you. Well you've got your little rainbow now haven't you so FX it is all ok which I am
Sure it'll be just fine :)

Yeah I don't blame you we've got to listen to our bodies and give in to what they want even if that means naps and being in bed by 8! That's what I'm struggling with the exhaustion it hits like a wave and really takes it toll doesn't it!!

Ahh bless your friend atleast you've got her there for support

I am hoping in a way I do get some sort of sickness just to make me feel abit better !! But I guess like you say everyone and every pregnancy is different xx

Alicejj8x · 19/06/2018 12:39

@Babybeany
Ahh I am sorry about your loss. That's also the same weeks as we had our mmc. The exact same weeks for both MMC :( so there the danger weeks for me!!

Oh wow that does seem a while but I am
Sure it'll come round fast and yes I would book in a early one :)

Aha ahh yeh I bet it was just easier to tell
Her xx

TheMagicTorch · 19/06/2018 13:25

I'm around 4 weeks and suffering with dizziness today! I've also had some spotting this morning and have ended up putting a light tampon in (TMI - sorry!) I'm a bit anxious with finding out so early - at what point do I worry? Do I just have to wait and see how it goes?

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 19/06/2018 13:29

I don’t know for sure so maybe google, (or maybe someone else can advise...) but I wouldn’t think using a tampon would be a good idea whilst pregnant...

TheMagicTorch · 19/06/2018 13:46

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking Thank you, I hadn't even thought of that Blush Have taken it out now to be safe.

Google's a bit of a mixed bag.. I think I'll just have to wait and see if it gets heavier or stops. There's some reassuring threads on here of people having healthy pregnancies with early bleeds but others that didn't work out.
