HOW jealous am i that you are finishing work this week chooster?! NOT FAIR!!!! anything nice planned for you mat leave? apart from having a baby of course!

just feel that i need to share with you all that my (d)d just did a horrible runny poo in her pants! AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!wasn't quite sure how to deal with it really!!! have to say ds never ever did that, so i have never really dealt with it before. i did completely the wrong thing and got angry with her..............its very hard not to get angry though when you are cleaning up horrible runny poo and you are getting laughed at by a 2 year old saying it tickles when you clean her bottom!!!

bodders - your mw sounds good! no one ever told me to pack a bag just in case my homebirth didnt work out, so my dh ended up packing it for me while i was getting my coat and shoes on inbetween contractions!

kikijkikiki.............(that was my0 dd typing her name for you! she cant resist whenever i have the pc out!)

our neighbours had a big barney with our builder today, so he isn't coming back till next monday now. i am a bit pissed off cos they are the ones who chose him and we said we weren't sure about him from the start. and now suddenly they are having lots of 'issues' with him and delaying everything. i just want it finished!!!!!

can anyone recommend soem nice childrens bedroom furniture?

and what do you think of thesse names, honestly....

Raya
Seren
Delphi
Eden?

bit nervous asking you all actually, cos i know i will listen to what you say and we are struggling with names anyway!!

mrs - hope it goes/went well for you today

anyone seen seaside recently? or is she on a marathon yoga session?

Bodkin · 13/06/2007 13:50

Cor, not long now til you can put your feet up Chooster! And you're not too far behind either Firsty... Sorry to hear you've both been suffering with the breathlessness - I do struggle with stairs now - I saw a post from 3flightsofstairs (from our July thread) and really felt for her!

And it seems that the ability to fall asleep at the drop of a hat has returned as well. I was just reading a story to DD and could feel that familiar drowsiness coming over me! I've had 8 hours kip for gawdsake!

Right, have just had my afternoon playdate cancelled, so better think how I am going to entertain DD for the rest of the day..... erm....

greedygreedyguzzler · 13/06/2007 13:51

firsty - keep chilled, no more palpitations or panic attacks.........ok?

greedygreedyguzzler · 13/06/2007 13:52

i have got some pooey knickers you could come and sort out for me if you are really stuck for things to do later bodders!!!

Bodkin · 13/06/2007 14:03

Sorry, crossed with you earlier Greedy. Sounds like you're having a fun day! Bummer about your builders and your neighbours.... Grrrr, not what you need. Hope they get their act together soon.

Those are some really interesting and unusual names. I do know a little girl called Raya, and it is very sweet, but her mum says that a lot of people think she is called Freya, which gets on her nerves.... They are all pretty names that go well with your other two. I think I like Delphi the best, if I had to choose.

Don't worry about finding things for me to do - I've got plenty, but I feel a bit guilty that DD has spent most of today just mooching around. She seems perfectly happy though, so maybe I should just chill out....

Hi ladies, so tired today but other than that feel fine, I'll catch up l8er, I've put some pic's of the Baby's room on my profile (there not fab pic's due to batteries were dieing) let me know what you think! Babymad+bump

MrsMcJnr · 13/06/2007 16:14

Hey ladies very sickly night last night went straight to bed when I got home from work and there I stayed until 9am! had a splitting headache too. Had my booking in today. All seemed to go well except they thought my blood pressure was a bit high, it was ?/90 ? is that worrying? Feeling V with my mother she just said to me ?As you were overweight before you even got pregnant, you should really not eat any rubbish at all, no butter, no jam and definitely no chocolate ? you really shouldn?t put on more than 20 pounds it total, to do so would be stupid!? ok, so I could have been lighter to start with but I am hardly obese, I am still way within my BMI and you?d think she could be more supportive rather than try and make me stress about something I am already stressed about??? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I have put on 3 pounds in the last 9 weeks, is that a lot? Thanks for listening! My dating scan is 20/7 when I will be 14+3. Should see quite a difference from the 8 week one! We have a wedding that day so I?ll have to do my own hair now as won?t have time to get scanned and do that ? can you imagine turning up for the scan all dolled up and telling them that I dressed up for the occasion and as did DH and that?s why he?s in his kilt!!

Now I?ll catch up with you lot?????

Bodkin · 13/06/2007 16:26

Don't know about blood pressure, Mrs, but I think Greedy is good on that kind of stuff - she said she takes her own when she gets in to work!

Re. weight gain, I put on a whopping stone in the first trimester, but then hardly any for the 2nd trimester, and now I've put on another stone (and counting), so I expect overall it will be in the region of 2 and a half stone. Don't know if that is a lot or a little, but I'm quite comfortable with it now (although freaked out a bit after putting so much on at first!) I think your mum could give mine a run for her money for coming out with so called "helpful" advice!!!

honeyapple · 13/06/2007 16:29

Hiya-

All going on here I see...

Greedy- Ah, the joys of pooey pants... always tricky to get them off without poo going everywhere! It is hard for little ones though if they have a dippy tummy... sometimes a fart turns into a bit more .
As for your names, I think I like Eden the best. Makes me think of lovely green things . Could also be Edie...

We are having the kitchen/dining room ceiling re-plastered tommorrow (remember the bathroom leak?)... so having to move everything out of the way. Too much stuff in this house .

Lots of love to all xx

Mrs- I don't think your weight gain is anything to worry about. I have also put on a stone so far... I put on about 3 stone with DS and 2.5 with DD... mind you, I lost almost a stone of that just giving birth . Don't get stressed out about it... eat what you fancy, it's all about getting a good balance of food. And DONT feel guilty about sweet treats. I've just had half a marzipan ritter sport with a cuppa... YUM.

Bodkin · 13/06/2007 16:37

Hey Firsty, don't get down about the weight gain - remember you have not been able to be very active this pregnancy... plenty of time once your LO is crawling and you are chasing round after it for the weight to drop off. What is important is you are both healthy

Babymad - the nursery looks fab. Mine is still covered in dust sheets and paint tins - ran out of the paint I was using for the last wall - went to get another tin mixed up, and since I got the first tin (a looooong time ago) the decorating shop has got a new digital mixer, and the colour is totally different , so they have had to get a tin mixed up at a different branch where they are still using the old system. So hopefully can get it finished next week....

honeyapple · 13/06/2007 16:40

Babymad- room looks lovely. i am very as have no room available for a nursery/baby room. LO will be with us.

Don't forget breastfeeding is a fantastic way to see the weight come off...all those calories going straight into your baby.

Hey Chooster any more strawberries?! So glad you?ll stay with us! I?ll be round at your house for top tips anyway! you?ll still be off when I hope to be I trust? Had a giggle at the thought of you discussing having the baby on DH?s favorite sofa! Sorry to hear about your breathlessness, I hope you are ok!

Hey Firsty those are all really good points for your birth plan, those are the kinds of things I should jot down it?s not that I want to be prescriptive about things as I know they can change very quickly but it would be nice to have thought about the important emotional ones like cutting the cord (though I know Dads who have fainted!!) and finding out the sex. I did intend to take notes but it was really a questionnaire for me, she?d say things like ?oh I?ll just tick no here because that won?t apply? and when I asked what they were it was things like were DH and I related and did either of us do ?street drugs? ? we are not and we don?t but we might have!! Hope that Doppler reassures you hon I?ll be on aspirin until the very end from the very beginning, I?ve been assured that it?ll be fine and am ignoring anything negative I see about aspirin. Poor you, those palpitations sound scary

Bodkin told DH about the dream, he wished I hadn?t! exciting about your home birth are you having a pool? My sis had my DN2 in her kitchen ? and she doesn?t have curtains or blinds on her patio doors to the garden! Before the birth, my DN1 was allowed to play in the water! so pleased you intend to stay with us too! You are brave having all that done to your house!! LOL about the decorator/midwife!

Hey Honeyapple I think PinkB is having an elective C its Monday isn?t it? so exciting!

Don?t know what reminded me of this but my Mum just told me something awful she lives in the South of Spain and the other day in the local supermarket, a British woman was freaking out as her toddler had gone missing in the store. The supermarket acted really quickly and shut the steel gate so no one could get out and they found the little girl in the toilets having her hair dyed by an unknown Russian couple! ? it terrifies me, Spain (and Portugal) used to be so safe for kids. My parents didn?t see this happen but alerted the papers so people could be vigilant.

Greedy that looks lovely as do the other things on there, I shall have to have a browse! LOL at your birth plans skipping a baby! Sorry to laugh but I couldn?t help it at the poo story ? especially at her laughing How annoying about your neighbours! re names, they are all pretty, honestly I have never heard Raya or Seren ? first one means railing in Spain (sorry hon but I thought you?d like to know ? seeing as we want to live there DH and I are being very careful with our names in case they mean something dodgy over there!) only thing about Seren or Delphi is that people will just assume they are Serena and Delphine but who really cares! I really like Eden and have that on my list too, my sis told me it is very popular in London at the mo!

Fettle glad to hear that you are feeling much better ? and that you intend to stay too! We leave Scotland to drive down South on Sat; we?ll wave if we pass you! the MS is reassuring ? boobs are killing me too! Incidentally ? funny moment at the GP part of booking in, she asked if I intended to breast feed and if I had any nipple issues like being introverted ? DH looked appalled!! (I don?t have any issues!) What a horrible dream I know what you mean, I was upset all day after mine! LOL at your boy walking at a week ? that?s worrying that they paid no attention to your birth plan ? why not?

Great news Babymad ? for some reason I thought you knew the sex?! Exciting surprise! Your baby room is beautiful in fact it made me cry because I don?t know where we?ll be and my baby won?t have a lovely room like yours you have gone to so much care and I love all the details I can just see you nursing your lovely new baby in there hon!

Caught up ? now I?ll see what?s happened since

MrsMcJnr · 13/06/2007 17:25

Thanks Bodkin ? that?s reassuring I knew all you ladies would make me feel better! Besides, my mother was the one who had 4 G&Ts when in labour with me and ate unpasterised cheese that gave her listeria (and made her lose 2 stone!) with my sister so hardly the world?s leading authority! All the books say our mother?s generation was obsessed with weight anyway! What a palaver with the paint!

Honeyapple ? hope the works aren?t too stressful for you!

Firsty ? thanks! Have to admit it is a couple of weeks since I went to SS but I have been weighing myself once a week and trying to make sure I eat lots of the right things but sometimes only stodge helps I guess that?s why she made me cross because I know that I am not always a food angel. My Mother and next sis down are always slim and my mother has spent her life telling me and my dad and little sis that we are fat but the fact is, we just do seem to be naturally bigger and I don?t think she realizes the stress she puts us all under with her weight obsession I remember last week my sis was furious because she said my gorgeous DN was fat at 14 months! Gggggggrr! I?m so glad your DH is being supportive and you and the baby being healthy are the most important things

Thanks Honeyapple

BabyMadandBIGbump · 13/06/2007 17:40

Hi again god you ladies can chat LOL, thanks for your kind comments on Baby's room very nice of you

BabyMadandBIGbump · 13/06/2007 17:45

TTC GRADS, our Baby PREDICTION's, did we have/make a list of them?

honeyapple · 13/06/2007 18:18

Ha! firsty! Ritter Sport is a weird make of '80's chocolate... it's like a square chocolate bar, anyway... marzipan one is yummy! It's very shoulder pads and massive mobile phones!

My kitchen is looking spookily bare and tidy. Think I will wait for the builders to move anything heavy. DP is out tonight at some work do... and then off for the weekend playing golf in france with some mates... Not sure how much golf they will actually play though. He has just decided to take it up as apparently is good for networking . Just when the football season is over!

Anyone know about taking DC to scans? DO they let you? I was thinking we would have to take DD to 22 wk scan next friday, but someone on another thread said some hospitals don't allow them...???

greedygreedyguzzler · 13/06/2007 19:42

what is it with us all and builders/decorating hey?!

glad your booking appt went well mrs, and glad that you DON'T have inverted nipples and that your dh isn't your brother!

it is PISSING IT DOWN here at the mo! guess our builders were right not to take the roof off today after all!

i am going to have a rethink on names now. i will give you all some more to comment on soon......Raya (apparently) means princess in Thai mrs!.........we stayed at Rayavadee resort in thailand on our honeymoon, which was supposed to mean princess village! no one told me about railings!

honeyapple - think it does depend on the hospital re taking in kids to scans. ours don't mind as long as they aren't disruptive, esp at the anomoly scan. yours are old nough not to be too disruptive aren't they!!??

bodders - cor i can tell you are on mat leave! you have been on here lots today!

greedygreedyguzzler · 13/06/2007 19:43

yes we should make another prediction list! who's going to start!?

Bodkin · 13/06/2007 20:07

TTC GRADS BABY PREDICTOR

Bodkin - Hmmm, I'll go for...
BOY / 17th JULY/ 7lbs 2oz

That's just taken me aaaaages to find that! Mind you, now I'm thinking it might be a girl....nothing like hedging your bets eh? Better stick with the original prediction though.

Honeyapple - pmsl at the 80s Ritter Sport chocolate bar!!! Love the way they've slipped the word "sport" in there, like you're going to be fooled that by eating one of those is the equivalent to playing squash for an hour... I am desperate for something sweet now, but can't find anything in the house that fits the bill - will have to have fruit instead, booooooo! Oooh, there is some vanilla ice-cream, and I really should eat it up, as need to defrost freezer.... I am very of your kitchen looking all clean and empty. Mine is a hovel full of grease and cobwebs which I now have to spend the next 2 days packing up and cleaning before all the work starts.
We took our DD to the 20 week scan - no probs there - there was even a box of toys for her to play with, so it was clearly acceptable.

Yes Greedy, you're right, I do seem to be on here a lot more than usual! It is all getting so exciting though, and I can't stop reading the childbirth threads!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 13/06/2007 20:12

TTC GRADS BABY PREDICTOR

Bodkin - Hmmm, I'll go for... BOY / 17th JULY/ 7lbs 2oz

Babymad "I've been dreaming of a baby girl, 9lb 2oz, on the 27 July with dark black hair, but I predict a baby boy, 8lb 1oz, also 27 July, with very light hair! We'll see!"
