If we can't be positive about the weather what can we be? Grin

Fox the trip was a couple of months before conception and the pregnancy wasn't picked up straight away, then it was another month or so before the risks dawned on me!
I was told the virus only stays in the system for X months and we were outside that. We are now

BertieBotts · 02/03/2018 11:24

Distraction, zaa, always. Plan lots of events over the next 8 weeks so the time will fly by.

Someone nice talked me down from my whole panic yesterday and suggested I just google the hospitals. Okay, I said. I can google it, googling is safe enough. Then I got the email back from the midwives' office which has annoyed me all over again! Hmph. Definitely some hormones at play here exacerbating things.

Yay! 20 week scan went ok. Another little boy for us (and for the thread Grin). His tummy was measuring top of the normal range so I've been called back in 2 weeks to check for GD. Hope it isn't, I'm feeling so flat at the moment I don't know how I would manage without chocolate!!

GreyCloudsToday · 02/03/2018 13:00

Yay for the other good news scans too!

Oh that's such fantastic news, greyclouds and flatwhite! So pleased for you both

GreyCloudsToday · 02/03/2018 14:34

That's brilliant Flatwhite!!

(Just to say you might want to redo your pic as I think it has your name on).

Flatwhite32 · 02/03/2018 15:17

Oops so it does @GreyCloudsToday! I have no idea how to re-do it! 🙈

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 02/03/2018 15:27

Cue the anxiety that's returned after a couple of days. Seems like weeks ago since we had our scan already. Might book one for next week -__-

halloumisandwich · 02/03/2018 15:47

Hello all! Just checking in and delighted to see so much good news on here at the moment - congrats on your scan flatwhite and others, and so happy to see you here anne, you were so supportive on the TTC thread, I'm keeping everything crossed for you - I have a good feeling!
27 weeks for me now, can't believe I'm nearly in 3rd trimester. Since the 20 week scan I've been finally able to actually relax and enjoy it (mostly) - the regular kicks and punches certainly help. Hope everyone's keeping warm and safe in the crazy weather this week.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 02/03/2018 16:13

If it bothers you, flatwhite, you can 'report' your own post to explain to mumsnet - they'll delete it for you and you can repost with name concealed!

Flatwhite32 · 02/03/2018 17:35

Thank you @LisaSimpsonsbff. X

Flatwhite32 · 02/03/2018 18:49

@Flatwhite32 and @BlueeSpottyTiger congratulations on your 20 week scans! So pleased for you ☺️

@AnneLovesGilbert I'm soooooo happy to see you here!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 congratulations and 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼💗

Went public with my news today! Work were very nice. I've been in the job 4yrs and am in a good place with it so am hopeful that 5-6months off won't screw my career trajectory up too badly. Emphasised the fact my husband is taking SPL. I'm so glad of that actually - that when I go back to work baby will be with him not in childcare.

Still ages to wait till my scan, as it's at 21+3. 12th April!

MsJuniper · 02/03/2018 20:23

Fantastic @Flatwhite32 and @GreyCloudsToday - wonderful news.

Star88 · 02/03/2018 21:01

Thanks for the congrats guys. However I literally feel nothing at all. Last time my boobs hurt, I just felt something. This time, nothing....??!?

BertieBotts · 02/03/2018 21:15

Oh wow, look at that leg Grin Flexible little lady you have there!

I’m afraid I’m getting super anxious today, to the pint that I have already been in tears. I had my early 7 week scan on Wednesday showing a lovely strong heart beat but this morning I have woken up with no sickness like I normally do, so Jane been googling for a solid hour. This is my fifth pregnancy, the other three Miscarriages and one ectopic. The thought in my head is the minute I left the hospital on Wednesday the heart must have stopped beating. I’ve also had stabbing pains in my cervix. Please someone tell me this is normal? Confused

Flatwhite32 · 03/03/2018 09:32

@aetw I know that feeling all too well! I had a scan at 8 weeks to check for viability (I'd had a bleed 2 weeks prior) and they found a strong heartbeat. On the days I didn't puke after that scan, I was so worried something had gone wrong. However, I had my 20 week scan yesterday at 19 + 4 and all was fine (still won't stop me worrying, but that's another story).
The pains are most likely your womb growing. I've had some very sharp stabbing pains throughout, and my midwife said that it is very likely to be everything stretching. Is your midwife booking in appointment soon?

aetw · 03/03/2018 09:53

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes, I have a booking in appointment at 9 weeks. Then my next scan on 4th April. Thanks for sharing your story. Makes me feel a bit better. I just went a stood near the bin to see if that would make me feel nauseated. Honestly! When I do feel really sick, like I did on Thursday, I don’t want that either. Can’t win! Driving DH mad. X

Lifeofpies · 03/03/2018 10:32

Wow, a week of wonderful scan news! I haven’t finished reading back through everything so sorry for no name checks, but many many congratulations everyone. And lovely to hear about the sex of the babies! Flowers

Thanks for your helpful posts when I was having listeriosis paranoia... turns out I had aussie flu. Docs were good and put me on antivirals quickly, but it’s really floored me. The baby was so quiet I got pretty freaked out, but since yesterday has been a lot more active. Hard not to imagine you’re hurting them, and my mind was going to all sorts of dark places.

I also had a call from the mw to say that my PAPP A levels were low, so worrying about that, especially after having a crappy placenta with DS. Has anyone else got low PAPP A? I won’t see the consultant and have my first growth scan until 28w, but have our 20w scan on Friday.

moomoo85 · 03/03/2018 18:14

Can I join you?

I have got a very faint BFP this morning at 9 dpo. I am feeling very very anxious at the moment. My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks in November and while I am so glad to have a positive test again so soon after I also feel that I am just waiting for something to go wrong.

I can't see how I am going to stay calm for the next few months.

itsgoingtoofast · 03/03/2018 21:57

Welcome @moomoo85. I think we can safely say we're all feeling the same mix of emotions you are feeling right now. You are in the right place to share your feelings and hopefully find some good support that will help you through... try to take it one day at a time for now.

Congratulations on your BFP and wishing you all the best Thanks

MsJuniper · 04/03/2018 09:17

Welcome @moomoo85 - I can guarantee we've all felt like that so you are in good company. Wishing you a very uneventful and smooth 9 months ahead.

aetw · 04/03/2018 17:29

I hear you @moomoo85 ! The waiting game is hell. My morning sickness is back with a vengeance today. So turns out feeling really crappy is very reassuring!
