Anyone due in October?

I think I am due around October 8th. I’m very nervous due to previous miscarriages and hypermesis in my last pregnancy. I’m already feeling pretty sick and only around 5 weeks but I’m definitely pleased. Just hope the baby sticks.

@CathyandHeathcliff congratulations :) are you going to find out the gender at 16weeks??

CathyandHeathcliff · 14/04/2018 20:26

@Markygirl1995 I'll be finding out at the 20 week scan.

CathyandHeathcliff · 14/04/2018 20:28

Anybody else feel constant bladder pressure and need to go often?!

StatisticallyChallenged · 14/04/2018 21:39

Hi all! I'm expecting my 2nd (after an 8 year gap!) - due 17th October. Currently remembering why it's an 8 year gap as I've had hyperemesis since about 5 weeks.

Markygirl1995 · 15/04/2018 07:33

@CathyandHeathcliff I've booked a private one I'm too impatient! Also I have I get up on average 3 times a night to empty my bladder!

Markygirl1995 · 15/04/2018 07:33

@StatisticallyChallenged I'm also due on the 17th too! 😊 hope you're feeling ok too! I've heard that can be awful

aetw · 15/04/2018 09:14

I am also due on the 17th. A popular day!

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/04/2018 09:39

It's not much fun MarkyGirl1995 - I'm on better meds now which are controlling the vomiting although I still get frequent and really bad nausea which sucks monumentally. Was off work for about 6 weeks, only just gone back which is a bit of a struggle.

Markygirl1995 · 15/04/2018 09:47

@aetw must be congrats! @StatisticallyChallenged you poor thing must be awful! Hope you get to feel better soon so you can enjoy the pregnancy more! Are you going to find out the sex? I've booked a 16 week scan as I find 2 months is a long wait to see baby again!!

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/04/2018 10:14

I'm going to book a scan for about 17 weeks to find out - my DD is desperate to see the baby but I wouldn't want to take her to an NHS scan so I'll probably arrange with the private place to take her (I'll get them to check everything is OK before bringing her in).

I found out last time and it helped me feel a bit better. I had hyperemesis last time which was then very quickly followed by bad SPD and I found knowing what I was having helped it to feel more like a real little person I was doing it for, if that makes any sense.

Markygirl1995 · 15/04/2018 10:32

@StatisticallyChallenged yeah that makes sense if it helps then it shouldn't be an issue at all I guess it could be anxiety? How old is your DD she must be so excited to be a big sister! Do you have an idea to what you could be having? I've got a feeling mine could be a boy 👶🏻💙

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/04/2018 10:37

DD is just coming up to 8! Desperate for a baby sister but I have no idea although DH keeps referring to "she" as well!

It's not so much anxiety I don't think, more that it's hard to feel much of a loving bond with something which is just causing you pain and misery! Knowing what I was having helped I think, as then she had a name and somehow seemed more tangible.

Markygirl1995 · 15/04/2018 10:42

@StatisticallyChallenged aww she's going to be a great big sister bet she's so excited.
Must be gut instinct you'll have to let me know how you get on when's your scan appointment? Mines 3rd may so I'll keep you updated to 😊
Have you thought of many names for this little one? Me and OH are struggling at the moment. I like Leo but he's not keen and girls names we're struggling with but older names are coming back in I like the common names like Alice and Charlotte

iLanny · 16/04/2018 09:54

Hi everyone! It’s lovely to see lots of you due in October too. I’m due with my first on the 7th, pretty sure I saw some others due then too!

I had terrible sickness all day but it seems to have settled down now. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Markygirl1995 · 16/04/2018 19:01

Welcome @iLanny how exciting!! Hope you feel better! Is there anything you have that settles your nausea? Heard that ginger tea or biscuits help! I take seven seas pregnancy vitamins with ginger in which is why I've been lucky!

EffRam · 17/04/2018 13:28

Hello! I'm due 22nd October, had 12 week scan yesterday which measured me at 13 weeks :) First baby for me. Planning to have a surprise flavour!

Seeinglines · 18/04/2018 08:09

All going well for me. Been for 12 week scan on Monday and measuring as 12+1 Grin
Sickness has pretty much gone and just having some heartburn and tiredness. I’m finally feeling more relaxed and excited!

Anyone due in October?
Markygirl1995 · 18/04/2018 08:12

@EffRam congrats! Do you have a feeling you know what you're having??

@Seeinglines congrats you must be so happy! I lost my symptoms at 9 weeks but soon as I saw baby I relieved

Seeinglines · 18/04/2018 08:15

Yes so happy and relieved. We are planning to have a gender scan at 16 weeks, but I feel like baby might be a girl. I have no idea about nub theory etc though, so can’t even hazard a guess from the 12week scan!

EffRam · 18/04/2018 08:56

@markygirl1995 no, planning on having a surprise! It was lovely to see them kicking and jigging around at the scan!

Seeinglines · 01/05/2018 19:28

How is everyone getting on?

I’m just over 14 weeks now and apart from being mega tired I feel great.

Hope everyone’s doing well Smile

TinyTerror1 · 01/05/2018 20:44

I'm 17+2 and feeling pretty good :) boobs are sore though. Starting to look a bit more pregnant rather than just fat 😂
Next hurdle is the anomaly scan which I'm having two weeks tomorrow 😬

RhiBee29 · 01/05/2018 20:54

I feel like a whale, no bump as such just feel big. Still obsessing over every pain & twinge. I'm 14+1 and still think it's all in my head as my symptoms have faded and no movement yet, such a weird time!!!

coritabee · 02/05/2018 11:34

Hello!
I am due with our miracle baby, our first child after 3 miscarriages and 2 failed IVF treatments. We are obviously very excited and cannot wait though every twinge is a worry! Due date is around 5 October. Hope you're all doing well x
