Anyone due in October?

I think I am due around October 8th. I’m very nervous due to previous miscarriages and hypermesis in my last pregnancy. I’m already feeling pretty sick and only around 5 weeks but I’m definitely pleased. Just hope the baby sticks.

Markygirl1995 · 21/02/2018 19:53

@Yasminek84 sounds like me I need to stop eating rubbish!!! And eat healthy just too hard 🙈🙈

Yasminek84 · 21/02/2018 19:58

@markgirl1995 ahh little bit of everything in moderation is okay :) really hoping I don't get cravings for KFC again like my last pregnancy 🙈 It actually still doesn't feel real... did you or are you having any period like cramps at all? I've been getting them on both sides.

Markygirl1995 · 21/02/2018 20:06

I still have cramps all over and back ache sometimes @Yasminek84 but mild not strong it's like stretchy twinges feeling

Yasminek84 · 21/02/2018 20:10

Kkk Knit Really hope all turns out ok. This is such a worrying process at times, isn’t it? I’m so desperate for this baby to stick & keep growing.

VillageFete · 21/02/2018 21:45

That above comment was meant to read knit AND Kkk

Kkk87 · 21/02/2018 22:05

Thank you @VillageFete , yes totally worrying.. I feel so anxious! Having a previous mc totally steals all the joy from pregnancy

KnitKitty · 22/02/2018 08:52

Thanks VillageFete. I had a bit of spotting but no red blood yestetday. It's been over 24 hours since the scary bleeding. Just counting each hour it stays in there as a bonus.

I'm too scared to feel joyful too kkk87.

My EDD is 2nd November but I'll be having an elective section so I guess I'm due in October too.

KnitKitty · 22/02/2018 12:33

Small update. The hospital declined my GP's request for an 8 week scan so she referred me to the early pregnancy unit instead and they've asked me to come in tomorrow for a scan!!! Confused

Will they be able to see much at 6 weeks? I'm assuming it'll have to be a transvaginal scan.

Very nervous in case they find nothing there or some other horrible senario.

Markygirl1995 · 22/02/2018 13:16

@KnitKitty see my scan above that's what it'll look like maybe slightly different I'm 6 Weeks

VillageFete · 22/02/2018 13:55

My heart is broken. This is a self funded IVF pregnancy and I noticed the lines were getting lighter on my test, so I rang and requested a blood test to put my mind at rest. They agreed and unfortunately my hcg levels are only 58. For 4 weeks and 6 days she said this is very low, especially since clearblue don’t pick up hcg levels under 25 and I tested with a clearblue last Friday, so my hcg must have been 25 then. 25 to 58 in 6 days isn’t good. They told me to prepare for a possible miscarriage Sad

Speedy85 · 22/02/2018 14:09

I’m so sorry VillageFete Flowers I can’t offer anything other than my sympathy and hope.

KnitKitty I had a trans-vaginal scan at 5 weeks (due to a pain which turned out to be a massive cyst on my ovary) and they could see basically a small circle in the sac which was the foetus. I suppose they might be able to detect a heartbeat at 6 weeks but I’m not sure. The process of the scan is slightly weird and uncomfortable but not too bad really. I’m going in for another next week.

Markygirl1995 · 22/02/2018 14:26

@KnitKitty sometimes they do and sometimes they don't they pick one up with mine but they are only 2mm big lol

KnitKitty · 22/02/2018 14:26

Oh VillageFete, so sorry to hear that. Is there any hope still? Hugs!!!!

KnitKitty · 22/02/2018 14:35

Thanks Speedy. I've had a transvaginal scan before many moons ago for gynae problems luckily so know a bit how that feels at least.

Markygirl it must have been exciting to know the heart was beating! The scan looks lovely.

Markygirl1995 · 22/02/2018 14:47

@KnitKitty amazing to see the little thing best feeling!cant wait to see how quickly it develops going to try get another scan for 8/9 weeks

YorkshireBee · 22/02/2018 15:14

Hello all. I'm 5 weeks along with my first, due around 23rd October. After more than a year of trying, and just starting down the investigations route, it actually felt like a bit of a shock! Tested on Sunday, saw GP yesterday, planning a second test at the weekend just to make sure. But I've got sore boobs, bloating, aching back... and I just feel different, so I think all on track so far.

I'm not the best with medical stuff so I'm quite nervous about the whole thing, particularly sickness. Really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones and manage to avoid it, as my mum did!

We're going for an early reassurance scan, recommended by the GP, in a couple of weeks to make sure everything's as it should be. My husband was always the one keen to start a family but he's not been as excited as I thought he would be - just overwhelmed, I guess. I'm very up and down about it all... and keeping it secret is so hard! It's lovely to have other people to speak to who are in the same position.

Kkk87 · 22/02/2018 16:57

So sorry to hear that @VillageFete .
