Anyone due in October?

I think I am due around October 8th. I’m very nervous due to previous miscarriages and hypermesis in my last pregnancy. I’m already feeling pretty sick and only around 5 weeks but I’m definitely pleased. Just hope the baby sticks.

@Flev got my GP appointment this morning, and as ever am petrified (I have a huge phobia of all things medical would you believe Confused) but hoping she can give me some reassurance and help me get on the right track with a good supportive midwife. According to the due date calculator I'm 6 weeks today. And yes, boobs-ouch! And bizarrely very burpy too?

Flev · 21/02/2018 08:05

@laney79 - fingers crossed for a really good GP appointment. Hopefully they can talk things through with you and help you feel in control.

I saw a student doctor and then had to have a few mins with a "normal" GP afterwards so he could sort out the paperwork, so the whole thing took a lot longer than a standard appointment but they were both really reassuring. I went in pretty much as soon as I got my BFP as I was really worried about my thyroid condition, having read it could significantly increase the chances of miscarriage but they were great at explaining things, increasing my meds and sorting out a proper monitoring schedule.

Oh - and I'm not burpy but am passing a lot of wind from the other end!

Markygirl1995 · 21/02/2018 08:22

I think I'm due 28th October had my dating scan yesterday and was told I'm 5/6 weeks sure I'll know at my 12th week scan and already looking into private scans for after 12 weeks if all goes well and too plan - I also had a miscarriage in December and feel pregnant without a period!

KnitKitty · 21/02/2018 09:57

I had some dark red blood yesterday... although nothing since then. Have to trek back to the GP later. :( bricking it in case somethings wrong.

I'm 6 weeks today according to period dates. No sickness or sore boobs which is not reassuring. Never thought I'd wish I felt sick!

Really hope little pea hangs in there.

MinorDelays · 21/02/2018 10:28

Sorry to hear that KnitKitty - I hope you get a chance to relax, and the doctor can put your mind at rest.

I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday - my thyroid medication has immediately been increased, but he didn't refer me for a blood test, which I was expecting. This all feels very unreal - I was hoping to have a blood test to confirm I'm not going mad.

KnitKitty · 21/02/2018 10:42

Thanks MinorDelays.

This part of pregnancy is difficult, isn't it, because you're kind of on your own with it?

Was told I might be sent for a scan to see what's going on. Really scared I'll have one and they'll tell me there's nothing there, or I'll have a blood test and they'll tell me my HCG levels are going down. Keep reminding myself I didn't feel pregnant on Sunday when I got my BFP, and the line came up almost immediately. Need to chillax a bit.

Knitkitty Hope all goes well, got everything crossed for you Flowers

markygirl What a lovely little scan picture!

Hi all,

My first round of IVF worked and i’m due 26th Oct according to an IVF calculator. My embryo was put back inside me 2 week ago today. According to the IVF due date calculator i’m 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant, but it doesn’t make sense to me?! I already have a naturally conceived 8 and a half year old. She is SO desperate to be a big sister so i’m praying to God all goes to plan, i’m so scared! My reassurance scan is booked for 13th March.

I haven’t really got any symptoms yet? I am on IVF medication until 12 weeks and that makes me quite PMS’ey but that’s it really? I have cramps in my lower back now and again. Should I be worried at my lack of symptoms?

Markygirl1995 · 21/02/2018 10:51

@VillageFete I wouldn't worry I get cramps as long as they're mild! My sonographer said it's normal to camp due to everything stretching I had cramps on left side of my back and she that's because I ovulated on my left ovary :) I'm sure all is fine try not to worry and keep calm!! Your pregnant woohoo!!!

Speedy85 · 21/02/2018 11:33

Knitkitty Sending you hugs and hope all is well.

VillageFete I wouldn’t worry about lack of symptoms. If you’re due at the end of October I guess you’re only about 4 weeks. I just had a bit of cramping and frequent peeing at that stage. It felt like a bad period without the period. I’m 6 weeks today and morning sickness didn’t start until week 5 for me (and some people don’t have it until later).

FutureMum · 21/02/2018 12:42

Six weeks yesterday. I am an ancient mummy and it shows! Exhausted, grumpy, overwhelmed. Queasy around food... My diet's been reduced to toast, almonds, cheese, ham, avocado, chicken nuggets, chips, Total yogurt and spag bol. Nothing can be eaten warm. My working days include a long commute so I spend 11 hrs away from home and I just can't manage it atm. DH doing all the cooking and looking after DD who has SEN. October seems such a long way away! Decided not to tell yet openly so I am feeling quite lonely. Sorry for the rant! How's everyone managing? x

Markygirl1995 · 21/02/2018 12:45

I feel fine I think I have moment where I feel like I'm bleeding and full on panic then check and there's none there so I calm down so just need to relax and let this ride out which is difficult when you've had a miscarriage bleh

Pickliestpickle · 21/02/2018 13:01

Hey all , I'm 34 pregnant with number 3 due 19th October. I already have a nearly 10 yr old and 8.5 yr old from a previous relationship.

Wasn't planned bit panicked in how will cope for room etc and the age gap of crse .

sore boobies, nausea/ dry wretching, start of my pgncy sciatica I had with my little girl returning and just really really tired 😴😴😴

Markygirl1995 · 21/02/2018 13:10

My symptoms have calmed down now, sometimes sore boobs, frequently visiting the toilet, moody and tired sometimes and cramps that's it I guess I'm lucky

VillageFete · 21/02/2018 13:18

Futuremum It all sounds so overwhelming. Hope things settle for you soon. I’m sure you aren’t ancient!!

So, apparently i’m 4 weeks and 5 days. I have been a waking up in the morning desperate for a wee. This morning I didn’t need one and I had to force it out. I’m so scared it’s not a viable pregnancy! IVF has been a nightmare and I can’t bare to think i’d get this far and it’d all go wrong. Am I overthinking it?!

Flev · 21/02/2018 15:03

@villagefete I think we're all over thinking this at times, but it's completely understandable.

Pickliestpickle · 21/02/2018 15:43

I so do not remember feeling this tired when I was pg with my little girl & boy , omg I've slept on & off all day today!!!

RhiBee29 · 21/02/2018 16:11

Anyone else feeling lightheaded? I feel like I've been on a boat. Bit of nausea today.

I had absolutely no symptoms with DS now 3. @VillageFete

This bit is so scary, mc at 6+4 last June so hoping this one sticks.

Kkk87 · 21/02/2018 16:19

Hi. Not posted on here for a while . I'm 8+2 and due 1st October.. past few days I have lost my symptoms pretty much and been bit crampy and had lower back pain .. I had a scan at 7weeks and all was well but this has happened after scan and I'm worried again now. I've booked a private scan for Friday and I'm terrified. I mc in September and can't stop worrying it's happening again

KnitKitty · 21/02/2018 16:24

Had my doctor's appointment. She isn't sure if the bleeding classes as normal unexplained bleeding or if it could be a sign of something being wrong. (helpful!)

I'll be having an early scan when I hit 8 weeks.

Just spent all afternoon asleep.

RhiBee29 fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy for you this time.

mintich · 21/02/2018 16:27

I'm October 10th. Symptoms only seemed to kick in this week whereas my last baby it was at about 5 weeks. I was worrying about that but I know every pregnancy is different! Relaxing a bit more now

Markygirl1995 · 21/02/2018 16:46

I'm tempted to book in a reassurance scan at 8/9 weeks
