Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

@Ozziewozzie I hope you had a better night and finally got to sleep (and your 2 year old too Confused). Also still got the aching legs and restlessness, but as baby is so low a bit less of the indigestion thankfully. Now 40 + 5 and getting generally pretty fed up - trying to keep busy but pelvis / pubic bone area so painful. I even cleaned out the sock drawer and now doing the sort of cleaning and clearing out I've never even tackled before. Manic nesting behaviour! Hopefully if I get my 'house in order' I'll make the brain and body think I'm totally ready and baby will come. Fingers crossed for today! Can't take much more...

Jjpeston · 12/03/2018 06:56

@LoveRainbow02 Hope things happened for you during the night - let us know if your little one is here yet. Wishing you all the best!

TheMrs04 · 12/03/2018 07:06

Well I'm still here! Contractions stopped all together at 4am 😶 really thought it was gonna be my time! ☹️

Twitchett22 · 12/03/2018 07:08

My sweep on Saturday definitely worked! 24 hours later waters broke, went to hospital and mw sent me home as i was only 2cm despite lots of close together strong contractions, baby delivered 15 mins later by AMAZING dp on our bathroom floor! Traumatic day to say the least but so worth it as I'm sat here cuddling my little girl. Awesome mothers day prezzie, hope some more babas have been born overnight!

HalfStar · 12/03/2018 07:32

OMG ! TWITCHETT!

That's an amazing story, well done to you and Dp! Must have been terrifying though? Congratulations and take it easy! Flowers

Vickylou78 · 12/03/2018 07:53

Wowsers Twitchett!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a birth story you have now!! Well done to your dp! He must be pretty shocked by it all, probably more than you as he didn’t have all the hormones and pain to blur it all! Amazing that you have your baby all safe and sound though!

I imagine you may be bit miffed with your midwife?

Pink princess - maybe post again with your query as this is a long thread and I’m sure people didn’t mean to miss you out, we are all busy being mums or working don’t take it personal.

LoveRainbow02 · 12/03/2018 08:06

Morning ladies. Not much change from me. Spent last night with period like cramp and tightenings. Still losing loads of mucus but no sign of bubz yet.

@Ozziewozzie good luck for your induction today. I am hoping for my waters to be broke today but the Labour wards are absolutely jam packed, that's why I never got them broken yesterday.

@TheMrs04 Fingers crossed things start to ramp up for you and that it won't be long until your holding your baby.

@Twitchett22 What an amazing story! Well done to your dp for delivering baby. You both must be in so much shock! Enjoy newborn snuggles.

Twitchett22 · 12/03/2018 08:09

Haha it was a bit of a blur for me so he defo got the worst of it! Ambulance took us in to the ward and the midwife was like oh... Haha gave me a private room for the night for free though so she must have felt bad haha

TheMrs04 · 12/03/2018 09:13

@Twitchett22 wow congratulations!!! That is my DH's worst nightmare 🙈

@LoveRainbow02 here's hoping! Having a few more contractions this morning! But ds1 is keeping me occupied this morning! Sent dh to Work this morning think he was hoping to have the time off!!

blinkineckmum · 12/03/2018 09:38

Oh my word Twitchett! What a hero! Remind me how many dc you have... as others have said, this thread moves fast! Congratulations!
Good luck to all those in early labour x

HazyDays81 · 12/03/2018 10:08

Congratulations @Twitchett22 that sounds like baby made quite a dramatic entrance!

Good luck ladies in labour today - look forward to hearing more baby news! X

Jjpeston · 12/03/2018 11:31

@Twitchett22 Congrats as well from me!! Yes that Midwife was not right to tell you to go home if your contractions were close together. Glad you got the nice room for the night though. Do take it easy for the next while though - you will prob both be in a bit of shock. What a hero your DP is tho!! Mines worst nightmare too haha X

Jjpeston · 12/03/2018 11:35

@TheMrs04 Hope things are getting going more for you - when you have little ones already it can be hard as you're not fully relaxed are you? Is there anyone that can take your little one for a few hours or so? X

SidSparrow · 12/03/2018 11:36

Night before last I could have swore I was going into labour but not sure if it was a vivid dream of a contraction! I wouldn't know, FTM at 39 weeks + 2 days. Felt quite big and uncomfortable yesterday, toilet every 2 mins for a drip, baby digging into bladder at one end, pushing through ribs at the other! This morning however... I don't even feel pregnant and like the bump as shrunk (I think my baby snuggles up to the back sometimes)... And well!!

Is this the calm before the storm?

This anticipation is worse than the 'am I pregnant?' madness!!! Confused

TheMrs04 · 12/03/2018 11:55

@Jjpeston little one is down for a nap I managed to get an hour before the postman woke me up! Currently sat on my ball hoping things will happen soon! Although for now contractions have stopped again 😩 never had this with my first! My waters went at 36+4 and I was admitted to hospital straight away!! Dh is doing half a day so he will be home in an hour. My mum is on standby to drive here if/when needed

Ozziewozzie · 12/03/2018 12:47

@Jjpeston
It’s been a slow start to say the least. Short staffed due to sickness, do its a waiting game!!
I’ll keep you posted x
You’ll beat me at this rate you lucky duck xxx

sammy891 · 12/03/2018 14:27

Wow @Twitchett22 that's amazing!! Scares me the most getting to the Hospital on time! Glad that everything worked out well Smile

GWeatherwax · 12/03/2018 15:22

Wow @Twitchett22 that's an amazing story, congratulations!

Hope all is going well @TheMrs04, must be frustrating with things stopping and starting.

Let us know how your induction goes @Ozziewozzie, I have a feeling induction is where I'll be heading.

40+4 today and no signs. Swelling in the feet and chins still ongoing but BP/urine still as fine as they've always been... Did not expect this much water retention.

TheMrs04 · 12/03/2018 15:27

@GWeatherwax it's driving me crazy! Labour ward seems to think I'm in slow labour not due till Saturday so there's still time! Just hope it doesn't last the next 5 days!! I've got the pineapple juice out going to try a curry later!! I will get things going 😆

thaigreencurry82 · 12/03/2018 18:24

I HAVE MY BABY!
9 lbs 2 oz of adorable cuteness born on Mother’s Day.

Went into latent labour at 8am, went to hospital at 1pm initially told 4 cm dilated “congrats you’re in established labour” but then midwife changed mind and said only 3cm. I asked to be admitted but they said no. Asked me to go for a long walk around the hospital. Came back an hour later and waters went. Contracting strongly so they admitted me despite not doing another exam. Then examined me at 7pm and i was 9cm! The pushing stage was hard as she was so chunky! She is my first baby and that moment when you push her out is incredible and the skin to skin magical. Good luck to all of you xx.

HazyDays81 · 12/03/2018 18:56

Massive congratulations thaigreencurry82 that is brilliant news. Sounds like you did amazingly! Do you have a name for baby? Enjoy the precious newborn phase x

blinkineckmum · 12/03/2018 19:05

Magical. Well done thaigreen! What a great weight x

sammy891 · 12/03/2018 20:46

Congratulations @thaigreencurry82!! Well done! What a lovely Mother's Day Smile

Jjpeston · 12/03/2018 20:47

@thaigreencurry82 So happy for you - and well done! 9 pounds 2 - strong girl. Does she have a name? Enjoy the skin to skin and the lovely baby smell and snuggles xx

Jjpeston · 12/03/2018 20:49

@TheMrs04 Get bouncing on the ball or climbing up stairs maybe (not right after the curry maybe) - hope things happen this evening for you. And me! Going a bit nuts now at 40 + 5. Pubic bone is like ouchhhh every time I move x
