Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

What is your areas policy on sweeps? Here we are offered at 40 and 41 weeks. Could you maybe request one even if you don't have an appointment booked? That's if you want one. I said no at 40 but will consider one at 41.

I got one at 39 weeks after begging cause of all the pain i am in. So my consultant gave me one. But now theybsaid don't make an appointment as there is no need to see me I tried asking at my gps if they would do one they said no. So I am basically stuck just waiting. The sweep gave me 6 hours of proper contractions then nothing I had a show and stuff but that's about it.

Just quickly, my lovely boy arrived safe and sound on the 10th, 40+3. A lovely chilled home birth, even though the end was more intense and very fast (6cm-baby took less than 1,5 hours). He is number 3, so the final stages were quicker, if not easier than before. He's doing well but life as a five is a bit full on!

When is your induction booked for @ragdolly81? Do you have a contact for the community midwives to give them a call and request one before now and then if you think it will help.

Induction aims the 27th my community midwife only sees me in the hospital as they are changing how they do things. Its all just a pain now. Can't wait for it all to be over so worn out. Would love another sweep but guess I will just have to keep my fingers crossed I go without instead.

Congratulations @Drizz how lovely....good to hear your home birth went well as that’s what I’m hoping for!

And I’m on no.3 too and I can only imagine the craziness of a life of five right nowShock how much did he weigh? Have you named him yet?

Still no baby here either. Things felt promising yesterday with the low pressure and aches and pains. Much of the same today and I am bouncing away on my ball. He feels really low when I do it but doesn't really amount to much.

Congratulations Drizz! Well done on the home birth.
I've just had no3 as well, but she was back-to-back and by far the hardest birth. Finding recovery tough, but it's only day 6. Must be patient.

No baby here either:(
I’m currently bouncing on the ball but like most of you getting twinges in the evening/through the night which by morning amount to nothing.

Congratulations @drizz!

Hello to everyone still waiting- wavesCake

Going in for induction tonight. Yesterday I was terrified and in tears a few times (so many stories about how much more painful it will be and our hospital is small and doesn't do epidurals) but I'm fairly calm today and have just accepted things. Working out extra things to pack as I might be there for a while ...

@GWeatherwax Try not to be scared - when you are further along the inductions are easier / the cervix is more ready. One thing I was saying that helped me in my labour was the midwives saying 'Don't be scared - you are safe and in the safest place.' Let's be honest it can be overwhelming and just thinking 'I am safe' or 'I can do it' is so helpful. Wishing you all the very best (from a very tired Mum, a week in) x
