Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

I'm being kept in overnight as waters have gone/are still going but no contractions yet. HmmHmm going to try to get some sleep now.

@Drizz you poor thing with the house of germs and fevers, that's so stressful and all you need I'm sure. Hang in there.

Mugglenet · 07/03/2018 21:45

@lavenderdays I'm sure your anxiety is through the roof. I can't even began to imagine how u are feeling. I lost my first at 6 weeks and was very anxious through out this pregnancy so id imagine having a late loss would leave you extremely nervous and feeling a wholebag of emotions. Can u ask consultant to take u a week earlier??

Potteryprincess30 · 07/03/2018 22:06

@Jjpeston true that on letting nature play out it's course, we are not even overdue yet and I do think of the many days past, the whole pregnancy as a whole up to this point and take stock, be thankful and most of all be zen Smile

I did have to be steered away from a baby in Sainsbury's earlier by my partner, he knew we'd be there forever otherwise. The need to cuddle it was obscenely strong.

@HalfStar all the best for a few hours rest, I hope your not too uncomfortable and you've got somebody with you. Soon your baby will be here, good luck tonight, we'l be thinking of you

@Potteryprincess30 Yes, maybe if we enter into a really Zen phase the baby will come. (Up listening the birds, trying to be calm). And as one of the other posters said 'they will choose their own birthday' which i thought was sweet. My symptoms seem to have gone bad a little swelling feeling in the legs so I feel like you that I could still be days away. Never mind - more time for us to spend alone a bit with our DCs - quite emotional from that aspect, the last days of them being only children. X

HalfStar · 08/03/2018 06:15

Checking in...very tired...baby girl arrived around 3am. All good. Been awake 24hrs now so could really do with a bit of kip! She's much fatter than other dc and gorgeous. Best of luck to all xx

GWeatherwax · 08/03/2018 07:03

Lovely to hear about all the new babies, congratulations! Smile

Due date is today, declined a sweep yesterday and no signs of an arrival yet. Induction booked in for 20th, hopefully won't be required!

Anya1981 · 08/03/2018 07:27

Congratulations @halfstar, it’s all girls this month 😊 I had a good night sleep, first one in months! There is a lot to be said about getting your body back and being finally able to choose my sleeping position! I moved yesterday evening back from the hospital to the birthing unit where I was supposed to have her in the first place. Hoping to get the hang of bf today!

Ro2017 · 08/03/2018 07:34

@HalfStar Congratulations! And born on International Women's Day 😊 What more can you do for womankind than bring a whole new woman into the world? Well done and enjoy the new baby cuddles.

I had quite a lot of low cramping overnight which woke me up. I tried not to get excited and went back to sleep and typically it's stopped now. It's all good though, and I know with first babies it can take ages for your body to get ready for the real deal! How is everyone else feeling today?

blinkineckmum · 08/03/2018 08:02

Congratulations HalfStar! Lovely news.
I feel for you Drizz. We need rest. But my 2yo didn't sleep at all last night and my 4yo has a cough. Today should be fun!

sammy891 · 08/03/2018 09:35

Congrats @halfstar!! Enjoy your cuddles with baby SmileFlowers

Twitchett22 · 08/03/2018 12:42

Congratulations! Hopefully there will be a steady streak of babys coming now! I'm very cranky today and although i keep telling myself I'm only 5 days overdue I'm annoyed that it doesn't feel like anythings starting at all!
Is anyone else miserable and overdue and getting increasingly annoyed by people saying 'eat pineapple, bounce on the ball, have a curry' blah blah as if i haven't tried everythinggggg Hmm

GWeatherwax · 08/03/2018 13:16

@Twitchett22 I have recieved 5 messages from family and friends this morning detailing pineapples, the ball, have you been walking etc so I can't imagine how irritating I'll find it in another 5 days time!

Twitchett22 · 08/03/2018 13:21

@GWeatherwax on top of all the texts asking if there's any news yet... Lol my best friends text me every day asking if babys here, like I'm going to say 'oh yeah i forgot to tell you I had her 3 days ago' Grin

Ro2017 · 08/03/2018 13:35

@Twitchett22 This is exactly what I was saying to the OH yesterday! People at his work keep asking him if there's any news and he's like '...well I'm still here, so no!'

Twitchett22 · 08/03/2018 14:14

@Ro2017 haha I know people mean well and its just the natural thing to ask i suppose but it's really winding me up haha. My friend keeps saying 'I'm sick of waiting for this baby now' like its all fun and games for me! You never realise how your overdue pregnancy is more inconvenient for everyone else lol

Jjpeston · 08/03/2018 14:36

@HalfStar Congrats!! Does she have a name yet? I hope you're enjoying all the cuddles and are getting some rest too x

Twitchett22 · 08/03/2018 18:28

Aaargh tightenings going crazy today, period cramps but no pain as such apart from some back ache. Don't know whether to start timing them or whether they're just BH. I wish there was like a mega obvious sign that just flashes when labour starts, all these little niggles are driving me insane!

MissTFied · 08/03/2018 18:33

Congratulations @halfstar! I hope you manage to get some sleep.

@Anya1981 I hope the breastfeeding is going ok. My little girl is such a strong sucker. My milk has come in now so I hope she eases off.

HazyDays81 · 08/03/2018 19:58

@HalfStar congratulations! I hope you’ve managed to get some rest. I think we must be due a boy next after 3 girls!

I’m 39 weeks today - lots of pressure, Braxton Hicks & feeling like I need to wee all the time. Not sure it means baby will come any time soon though.

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 09/03/2018 04:39

Wow.. What a day and night. Induction was yesterday., pessary at9am.. Thry broke waters at,, 6pm.. And then on drip.. And omg things ramped up fast.. Contractions by, 7pm 3-4 in ten min.. Can't stand gas and air.. And the anetestist wasn't available.. So no pain relief till 1.20 am.. They took off me by 1.30am to push.. Born, 1.44am. Beautiful girl.. Can't believe I did it with no pain relief. Think I made a song and dance about that tho..
Remifentanil.. Totally recommend! Even if it was just for ten min lol x..
Got to keep eye on baby as been on dihydrocodeine but looks good so far x

HazyDays81 · 09/03/2018 06:40

Congratulations ExhaustedAndHormonal! I love waking up to baby news! Does your beautiful girl have a name yet? Sounds like you did absolutely amazingly. Enjoy newborn snuggles Bear

MrsL2016 · 09/03/2018 08:15

Ahh another beautiful girl! Congratulations @ExhaustedandHormonal.

HalfStar · 09/03/2018 08:57

Congrats exhausted how wonderful! Just curious, what form do you get remifentanil in, injection or what? I too don't get on with gas and air...or so I thought until they offered me it after the birth so they could check whether I needed stitches. I gave it a go as hadn't had anything during the labour and was really sore and shaky and couldn't stand the thought of further prodding. And omg it was great stuff, I'm such an idiot for not using it before! Everyone yet to deliver, give it a proper go!

HalfStar · 09/03/2018 09:00

Sorry to everyone fielding annoying questions about whether you're still here - honestly it's so unfair of people. Hope everyone as comfy as possible.

New dd seems pretty good on the boob but a bit mucusy after fast pushing stage so gets cross about bringing that up...
