Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

Then may meet DS from school as again its another long up hill walk.
Askifor a sweep today so it best get things moving lol

LoveRainbow02 · 07/03/2018 08:37

Congratulations to you both on the birth of your baby girls. Wonderful news to wake up to.

Potteryprincess30 · 07/03/2018 08:48

@ExhaustedAndHormonal so my midwife said yesterday that it's a 3% chance your baby arrives on your due date but each subsequent day that number like doubles. So our baby chances are increasing all the time from now on!

All the best today at the midwives Smile

@MissTFied and @Anya1981 congratulations!! Such wonderful news to wake up to. Enjoy newborn cuddles and thanks for keeping us updated!

Eek due date today for me too. How are you feeling, other 7th Marchers? I'm not feeling any signs yet so I think our baby girl is going to keep us waiting a while longer!

Potteryprincess30 · 07/03/2018 11:22

Hay @Ro2017, all ok this end. Actually feeling like less pregnant Confused such a weird time pregnancy generally! I actually think i'm going backwards now as bump is much smaller. I'm back to feeling about 8 months Grin

The babies head is completely engaged now, 4/5 (or is it 1/5? as in only one 5th of head above pelvic bone?)

How are you feeling? Do you have the midwife today? sunny weather could defiantly help with getting out and about so i'm sure the next few days will pass fairly quickly for us too now

Thank you guys, I’m certainly enjoying cuddles with my little girl, she’s so gorgeous! Still bed bound with a catheter in, but should be able to get up and have a shower soon. Just trying to get to grips with breast feeding now - it’s not that easy!
@misstfied, well done on your little girl 😊 it’s a shame mine didn’t manage her due date after all, if it hadn’t been for the awkward position she got herself into during labour, she would have made it!

Anya1981 · 07/03/2018 12:23

@potteryprincess30 you probably feel this way because your baby is fully engaged now! So your belly must have gone down, hence feeling like you’ve gone backwards. It should mean you’re getting there!

sammy891 · 07/03/2018 12:52

Congratulations @MissTFied and @Anya1981!! So lovely to hear news of little ones arriving and hope you both are feeling well too. I had my 38 week check up and midwife is saying baby hasn't engaged yet so they will offer a sweep after two weeks but also reassured me not to worry as unless it's your first baby sometimes they can engage later on close to labour. Good luck to all of us waiting for the big day and enjoy your cuddles mummies with babies Flowers

HalfStar · 07/03/2018 12:55

Waters starting to go here but no contractions. Dh home from work and is all giddy Hmm i do hope they kick in soon, don't want to be looking at induction.
Hope everyone else doing ok!

HalfStar · 07/03/2018 12:57

Anya just keep asking for help with the breastfeeding. Have they shown you how to breastfeed lying down on your side? Should be possible to do that with catheter still in, I did it after dd1's birth and it was great not to have to sit up and struggle when exhausted.

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 07/03/2018 13:25

Midwife apt.. Baby measuring small still.
So induction booked tomorrow! Eek

Enariva · 07/03/2018 13:32

Hi everyone, been reading the thread but not posted yet. Was on the old threads before it fizzled out. My due date is today but no signs. My first was 2 weeks late so expecting the same this time. I only finished work on Friday so not in a rush anyway! Congrats to those with their babies!

Twitchett22 · 07/03/2018 13:45

Congratulations on the babies! Very exciting but also making me more impatient haha! 40+4 today, seen mw who said 'oo baby's heads nice and low right down in pelvis' but then wrote 1/5 engaged in my notes?! Next sweep on weekend then induction booked for next week, please hurry up baby id like you to be here before the weekend!

Jjpeston · 07/03/2018 14:06

Hi all. I am hoping hoping for today being the day, I've been bouncing on the ball lots and even bouncing my toddler on there which is good exercise. Have all these period pains at night - legs so crampy I almost couldn't move them this morning but then all symptoms go in the day.

@Potteryprincess30 SO exciting about the other babies. I just can't wait - although I think the real Pregnancy Purgatory phase was a few weeks back and now I'm into the 'excited and calm' phase which is cool. We have to remember there is no real rush - apart from our understable impatience to have the babies here - so it's sort of exciting to have nature play out its course. One of the only things in the world you can totally leave to nature isn't it?

Ro2017 · 07/03/2018 14:13

Weirdly I don't have the midwife again until 41 weeks. Is that normal? They just said to phone if I wanted a sweep which I'm going to pass on for now and hope she makes her appearance on her own! OH keeps saying she will choose her birthday when it's the right time which is sweet but easy for him to say!!
@Twitchett22 I get very confused about what the fraction means with engagement. I think 1/5 means they can only feel 1/5 of the baby's head meaning the rest is down in your pelvis, but I always think that seems backwards to me!
@halfstar good luck I hope you get some contractions soon!

LoveRainbow02 · 07/03/2018 14:20

@ExhaustedAndHormonal Good luck for your induction tomorrow.

This thread is going to very busy over the next few days i reckon with all the new babies. I had my 2nd sweep today and I am 2cms dilated. I wasn't expecting that lol!

Roseoftheloch · 07/03/2018 14:30

New to the thread thought i would pitch in.. 38+5 2nd baby and absolutely no signs of this boy wanting to budge :( whole heartedly miserable .. presentation scan this morning noted that baby is about 8lb already (eep)

Congratulations to all the new parents ❤️

Praying i can keep myself sane until D Day

blinkineckmum · 07/03/2018 16:39

Good luck HalfStar, Exhausted and Jjpeston! So many due now! Not due until 20th but thinking I'll start on the raspberry leaf tea tonight... feeling ready!

blinkineckmum · 07/03/2018 16:41

I'm so sorry I missed the bits asking about Tens too. Sounded like a typical 1st birth Anya. They're not easy. I have a Tens as I used it last time. I plan to have it on as soon as paracetamol is ineffective!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 07/03/2018 18:30

Hiya. Hope everyone's doing ok!

40+2 here and highly unamused Grin was so sure I'd go early as my DS was born at 38+3. Feeling very heavy and grumpy! Soldiering on though with taking DS to toddler groups etc when I can muster up the energy. Not easy though as he is such a bundle of energy and I'm shattered!

No signs happening here at all other than heavy pain/pressure in my groin today, but assume that's just baby nestling down! Also hating the well meant texts... Come on now baby!

Drizz · 07/03/2018 18:56

Congrats Anya and MissTied on the little girls. I think I can safely conclude this won't be a due date baby, which is just as well, as after both kids now my husband has the flu. And I don't think I need to tell you lot how terrible that is...

He's actually got a fever so I should be sympathetic but I lugged a teething toddler and a just recovered 16kg nearly pre-schooler round all day, who were both shattered and prone to burst into tears and collapse all the time... So I am shattered. Thankfully they are at child care tomorrow, I have my mw appointment then, but likely to skip the sweep til the weekend so I can get my breath back a bit. We've been house of germs since the weekend, 6 days of really high fevers, and mostly in the kids which has meant no sleep for the wicked. How the hell are we going to cope with our next baby?

Mugglenet · 07/03/2018 19:19

Congrats to everyone that has their baby. Getting so exciting. I love reading about how others are feeling and what they are doing to bring on labour. 37 weeks today and have been experiencing period pains and thigh cramps in the evening. Had a lot of lower back pain today but it goes again. Getting really exciting now for everyone.

Lavenderdays · 07/03/2018 19:30

Mugglenet, I am exactly 37 weeks today too - my original due date was 28th March but for various reasons the consultant is advising I am induced at 39 weeks.
I am varying between feeling rubbish and grumpy to feeling REALLY rubbish and grumpy (this is my third dc and final pregnancy). I am having a little girl...to go along with my two other daughters. I lost a little boy 3 years ago when I was 20 weeks or thereabouts so this has been a very anxious pregnancy and I am still not convinced that there will be a real live baby at the end of it all.

Congratulations to everyone who has recently given birth x
