Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

@Anya1981 I think getting some rest in is a good idea, have you told your birth partner that you're in the latent phase?
They are always so strict on the timings of the contractions, i think the worst thing would be to be turned away from the hospital by going in too early so you're doing the right thing!

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 16:56

Yes, my other half is at home with me, so he’s all ready!
I know! But on the plus side I’m very near the hospital, so even if they did turn me away I wouldn’t have travelled far.
I just can’t quite believe I might have another 14-16 hours of this!

blinkineckmum · 06/03/2018 17:10

Monitored for 30mins at hospital. All fine. No more baby news yet then?

HalfStar · 06/03/2018 17:25

Good luck everyone!

Vickylou78 · 06/03/2018 17:52

@anya1981 I am actually pleased to hear of your very similar weight gain! Although I’m a few weeks behind you so reckon I will beat you! I’m not petit either so this extra 2-3st will be quite disappointing! But like you I’m hoping lots of the weight will come off with pushing pram and breast feeding (if I can). I just can’t stop eating! I have a very healthy appetite and I ate sooo much to stop the morning sickness! Ah well another joyful side effect of having a lovely baby!!
Best of luck with labour! Sounds like is progressing nicely!

Twitchett22 · 06/03/2018 17:57

@Vickylou78 I've put 2 and a half stone on and I'm 3 days overdue (not totally sure what that is in kg) but tbh put most of it on at the start when i told myself i might aswell eat shit coz im going to get fat anyway (not doing that again). My mw has never weighed me since booking though?!
Im planning on using baby to help shift the weight aswell, plus our babies are coming in March so hopefully spring will be perfect to get out and about with the pram!
I've only put on 2lb in the last 3 weeks, trying to work out if that has any bearing on whether baby will be bigger than average or not!

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 18:25

I try not to worry too much about my weight gain. People say i don’t look I’veput that much on, but they might just be being nice! I had quite bad water retention the last few days, so blaming that last kg on that! My mw did have to check if i can still give birth at the birthing centre though, as I’ve put more than was supposed to!

Labour update - my waters now broke, really weird feeling, like you’ve peed yourself! They still don’t want me to come in until 9pm though... Contractions are v strong now and lasting up to 2 mins

Vickylou78 · 06/03/2018 18:25

I think I put lost of mine on at start as had really bad nausea and needed crisps and cake. At the moment though I’m addicted to after eights!

Ro2017 · 06/03/2018 18:35

@Anya1981 aaahh so exciting! You will definitely be holding your baby soon! Can't wait to hear more updates 😁
Re: weight gain, mine has fluctuated so much and there has been no rhyme or reason to it. I put on loads at the beginning but then I actually lost weight in the second trimester so I started overcompensating and I've put on tonnes since 28 weeks. All without paying much attention to what I've been eating! I think overall I'm on about 12kg since the beginning. I was slightly overweight to start with but the midwives have never been worried (or at least they've never expressed worry to me!). I think our bodies just do what they're gonna do no matter how hard we try!

Pinky333777 · 06/03/2018 18:43

This thread is too long to catch up with!

So, who's having a baby?
I'm 38+3 no sign yet, I'll probably go over!
Good luck to those who are already in labour xx

HalfStar · 06/03/2018 19:06

Good luck Anya! Really shouldn't be long now, the waters breaking will ramp things up considerably I'd guess.

HazyDays81 · 06/03/2018 19:14

Have been following the live birth thread throughout the day. Good luck @Anya1981 exciting news! Won’t be long now!

Re weight gain I think I’ve put on about 2.5 stone. I met a friend for lunch today & I had fish, chips, mushy peas, 2 slices of bread & butter followed by choc fudge cake & ice cream! It tasted so good! At least we’ll all soon be losing at least 8lb Grin

blinkineckmum · 06/03/2018 19:30

I have put on 2stone.

Vickylou78 · 06/03/2018 19:54

Ooh @anya1981 crossed posts your waters have broken!!!!!! Crikey will all be happening now I suspect! Wonder if you’ll have baby on 6th or 7th. Good luck!!

Glad to hear I’m not the only one put on more than 2st! Still I think you are all right and your body knows what it needs and is all worth it. Maybe we’ll need a weight loss club thread on here next year though! No point worrying about it now.

Good luck ladies in labour!

Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 20:20

@Lavenderdays how are you doing this evening? Hope your managing to get some rest, know you've been uncomfortable the last month and with your other two you to look after you must be feeling very ready now for the baby to come. How is your week shaping up? Any twinges? Smile

Hello ladies!
I HAVE MY BABY!!!!
I had a little girl who was born two hours after I went into hospital.
Long story short, did it on gas and air, jumped in the pool, and out she came. No stitches. The contractions really ramped up quickly in hospital, so glad I went in when I did.
I have chosen to stay in overnight, though still haven't slept. Breastfeeding going well.
Thanks for all of your thoughts x. All the best to those coming soon! X

Jjpeston · 07/03/2018 00:13

@MissTFied WOWWWW! I am so pleased for you. Sounds like it went as smoothly as can be - and hopefully it was a lovely exciting experience. Do you have a name for your little bundle yet? Huge huge congrats!! Xx

Jjpeston · 07/03/2018 00:16

@Potteryprincess30 Hey Due Date twin. How are you doing? I was hoping things might happen for me today or tomorrow (7th) - I had these period style pains all night last and night before. But they almost totally go during the day. Hoping for this evening but I can't sleep as per usual...x

MissTFied · 07/03/2018 02:28

@Jjpeston thank you.

No name for the little one yet.

Have cuddles now after changing a massive tarry poo nappy!

Anya1981 · 07/03/2018 04:16

Hello ladies, quick update, had my little girl at 1.40 this morning! So she just missed her due date. It was difficult delivery for several reasons, but she is gorgeous! We named her Alicia

Jjpeston · 07/03/2018 06:00

@anya1981 that is wonderful!! I hope you’re recovering well. And what a beautiful name - i always loved that name. Cuddles - wow, I can’t wait! Xx
