Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

Just catching up, everythings kicked off.

They'll be babies by the days out that is a certainty

@blinkineckmum just read your post, I think as it's so close to the afternoon and you don't know how long you'll be there then waiting till you can collect the kids is best. As you've felt some wiggles thats very positive so it will be fine to go in this afternoon. If you'd felt nothing i'd totally agree with the other posters though to have gone immediately at this stage in your pregnancy.

How are you feeling now?

Update .... it was a false alarm. Boo hoo!
Haven’t felt a thing since midnight last night. So will wait for something strong and regular now. Gonna go for a walk today as have been resting at home since finishing work at 38 plus weeks so the too much lying around obviously isn’t helping.

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 13:20

Aw, @thaigreencurry82, it will happen soon! Remind me when are you due?
I phoned the labour line and they told me to wait until my contractions are 3 in 10min, for at least 2 hours. They are a bit all over the place at the moment, sometimes 5 min apart, sometimes 25.
I’ve dropped the dog off at the inlaws, done last minute shopping, had lunch. Now I’m going to lie down, put something relaxing on Netflix and see if I can release some oxytocin!
Fingers crossed for 2 babies being born today then!

thaigreencurry82 · 06/03/2018 13:33

Hi @anya1981 I am due on Saturday, when is your due date? Are you taking any pain relief at the moment? So excited for you definitely two babies today!

Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 13:34

@thaigreencurry82 think it's going to be like this from now on to be honest, every day at least one of us will think we're in labour...only for someone who doesn't to end up having a baby no doubt!

Though I'm thinking we will at least get one new adorable addition today.

@Anya1981 I think your symptoms are definitely unable to be confused with practice contractions or cramps, you are in labour for sure girl!

@MissTFied could also potentially be holding her little one today Grin

@potteryprincess30 when are you due? I know what you mean it’s a mix of frustration and excitement with me at the moment. It’s exciting having this thread to play it all out!

Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 13:37

I'm jealous! I want a baby Envy

@thaigreencurry82 I'm due tomorrow, its in the thread blurb Grin

thaigreencurry82 · 06/03/2018 13:40

Haha I want a baby too!

Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 13:40

thaigreen, i'm getting very impatient and overexcited by these potential babies arriving, my heart is racing Grin. I'm a massive baby freak at the moment but I don't care anymore, bring on the babies so we can finally snuggle them and get on with our lives!

@thaigreencurry82 after reading this thread today i'm close to stealing a baby!

OP posts:
Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 13:45

@thaigreencurry82 apparently like nearly 80% go into labour by 41 weeks so we will get those cuddles (and most of our bodies back) by this time next week. The 10th is so close too, I think your signals already will mean a baby by the weekend but you may very well have a few more days yet. I had these all last week, literally some really strong contractions but they have completely died down now so expect i'll hang in there too until the weekend at least

Oh I just remembered, I f anyone wants a copy of their birth notes (including that pink part at the back with the drawing of the vajajay on too as regards stitches ect)

Then you have to ask before you leave the hospital/midwife center. Otherwise you'll probably never see them again. You can write on your birth plan you would like a copy of them when you are discharged (i have done this).

Otherwise im pretty sure you have to pay to access them Hmm

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 14:36

@potteryprincess30 i’m Definitely in early labour! Trying to have a nap now, as am quite tired but I keep waiting every 7 minutes or so for contractions! Might stick myself in a bath to relax a bit...

that’s good to know re: notes, I thought they’d just give them to me! Why would they need them?

Twitchett22 · 06/03/2018 14:38

I hope there are some babies born soon! Im so uncomfy today, feel lots of pressure down low but also so much pressure under my ribs when im sat down. Cant work out if baby is high or low or if the pressure under my ribs is tightening. No pain as such just uncomfortable. Seeing mw tomorrow, don't know whether to ask for another sweep or wait a bit longer, still losing mucus plug but no blood now. I know people say 'you'll know when you're in labour' but i want to recognise it before I'm in agony! Switching between getting wound up that she's not coming and relaxing telling myself she's only 3 days overdue Hmm

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 14:40

@thaigreencurry82 I’m actually due today, so it is pretty amazing it is happening. I only started having symptoms yesterday, so don’t get to worried if yours keep being false alarm. In fact I had a mf app yesterday and she said baby wasn’t engaging yet and booked me for an sweep on Monday. So it can happen just like that, no bloody show, no mucus plug going, literally just contractions kicking off.
Re pain relief, I’ve put my TENS on, not sure if it’s working much though. Considering taking paracetamol but don’t know it will do much.

Vickylou78 · 06/03/2018 16:20

Oh dear... just got back from mw appt and I’ve gained 19kg during the pregnancy!! Mw looked a bit shocked! I have had a very healthy appetite throughout but of deary me... would explain my massive backside!

Vickylou78 · 06/03/2018 16:21

Anyone else put on as much as me!!

thaigreencurry82 · 06/03/2018 16:34

@Anya1981 how interesting thank you, i thought everyone lost the mucus plug first.

what are you doing at the mo- are you walking around keeping mobile? I've bought some paracetamol in case i need it for this stage. I don't have a TENS machine though.

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 16:44

@thaigreencurry82 I think that’s the thing - it can go different ways, which is so frustrating in trying to figure out your symptoms. I have just started noticing bits of my mucus plug on my underwear.
I had a bath, did a bit of tidying in the kitchen, but now just sitting and trying to rest - it’s going to be long night! Although maybe if I moved around the contractions would start coming closer together? It’s quite annoying they are still about 7 minutes apart, need to be about 3 to go in!

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 16:48

@vickylou78, i’ve Put 21kg on! And was not petit to start with 😉 my bmi was just at the top of ‘normal’ range. I’m not proud, but blame going through pregnancy through winter - I was too lethargic to go out and do any exercise! And nothing hampers my appetite! I’m hoping long walks with a pushchair and breastfeeding will help with shifting the weight. Although I do regret the amount of treats i’ve Had!
