Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

@MissTFied, yes, in fact that’s what I always say to myself about childbirth- people wouldn’t go into having seconds and thirds if it was as bad as some lead us to believe!
I hope it works out ok with your day, school run and dog walk! I’m planning to walk a dog, maybe take her to the beach, to see if walking gets things moving. Keep us posted!

MissTFied · 06/03/2018 05:19

Will do, see you on the beach then!

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 07:35

This MUST be it. In the last 1,5hr I had 6 contractions lasting about 40 seconds each. They are of varying intensity, from a bit of a cramp to quite uncomfortable. I have also had a fairly loose no2 (sorry for TMI!). At what point shall I stick my TENS on? Anyone has had any experience with them? I guess the contractions might still fizzle out?

Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 07:58

@Anya1981 fantastic! I'm so glad you got some sleep in that case, always better not to wait for these things and just get on and rest if possible. How amazing your probably having your baby on your due date!

I am liking the live births on thread. I was on the early March threads too. Fell off due to life getting in the way. But it's my due date tomorrow and there is absolutely nothing happening of the labour type. Happily kicking baby in there and a 3,5 year old, very poorly big brother asleep in my bed. So I hope the baby stays put til the germs have left the house!

MissTFied · 06/03/2018 08:08

@Anya1981 same here! Contractions 40 secs each, 25 mins apart. Lots of 'clearing out' here too. Bottom very sore now, I seem to need the loo after each contraction.

I don't think I will be walking the dog. My plan is to have a bath soon. Currently just resting in bed between contractions.

I've not got a tens machine this time. Maybe Google when to use it, I can't remember.

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 08:55

Welcome back @drizz, hopefully you will start getting some signals soon! It only started for me yesterday, so who knows?
@MissTFied, mine have now become more sporadic, but am sure things are on the move. Would be great to have it today, as it’s my actual due date, but in the next couple of days will do too 😉

Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 09:00

@Drizz oh my god is everyone due tomorrow Grin so many due on the 7th (including myself). I reckon i've got a while yet though

@MissTFied its happening! so pleased for you, this is so exciting Smile

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 09:21

@potteryprincess30, it would be very exciting if it wasn’t so painful! Only joking though, keep coming contractions.

MissTFied · 06/03/2018 09:22

Had a bath, which was lovely. Would have stayed in longer but the hot water ran out. Feel a bit calmer now. Managed to hack blindly at the lady garden (!) too.

I think today has a good ring to it. 6/3/18 6x3 = 18!

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 06/03/2018 09:24

Due tomorrow too. Think I had some BH. Over the last few days. But not sure as never had them. With DS
But bang on 28+58 min past the hour. Rock hard belly. Then stabbing pain in foof. Lol. Then stopped. So guess that's what it was.
Have MW tomorrow gonna ask. For a sweep of she will as, have damage ribs from a chest infection and coughing and need to take some stronger stuff and can't. Totally fed up so worth a shot to ask.

Potteryprincess30 · 06/03/2018 09:24

OMG! @MissTFied lol Grin

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 06/03/2018 09:25

Lmao ( which hurt the ribs at hacking the lady garden)
I'm not bothering. A. I can't see. B. Can hardly move coz of ribs and don't want to start what I can't finish if hurts me lol.

MissTFied · 06/03/2018 09:40

God knows what mess I have made down there!

Contractions still coming. May ring the labour ward to see what they advise.

Anya1981 · 06/03/2018 09:52

@misstfied, hilarious! I did that last week, ended up with a minor bleed 😉 how often are you having yours? Mine are about 7 min apart, but lasting from 20s to 40s, so wonder if I should call them too.

MissTFied · 06/03/2018 09:56
Grin Mine are averaging 15 to 20 mins still, but a good 30-40 secs. I mean, I am 12 days over so this has got to be it! I would call your labour ward too. I will do it now but just heard the bin men come so rushed down to wheel the bin out! Argh!
MissTFied · 06/03/2018 10:09

Right, labour ward said they wouldn't normally advise coming in yet, but as this is my 5th baby, they will admit me if I'd like, so I am going in. I just want to feel secure that I am there and ready.

blinkineckmum · 06/03/2018 10:23

Looking forward to hearing your news MissTFied

Vickylou78 · 06/03/2018 10:50

Ooh this is proper exciting!! is that 2 babies on the way then??
Good luck both of you!

I still have a way to go as not due till 30th March, but have midwife today and wondering if she’ll be saying that the baby is moving down. Feeling like it is.... and having lots of Braxton Hicks. I do have a week left at work though so hope it’ll hang on till after I finish!! I’ve been willing it on to come early but now I’m thinking I’m not ready!

blinkineckmum · 06/03/2018 10:52

After some advice please. How long would you wait with reduced movement at 38 weeks? I haven't felt the baby kick this morning.
So is in preschool 15 min drive away. Due to finish at 1.15. Midwife unit is 15 mins in the other direction. Shall I wait until 1.15 and then drive to the midwife unit wih both kids? Partner could meet me there if necessart. Not far from his work and he has a bike. I've just eaten loads fudge but nothing....
Getting ahead of myself but if they induce me at hospital will that mean no water birth?? Thanks

TheMrs04 · 06/03/2018 11:14

@blinkineckmum I would go in ASAP don't wait it out!!! X

blinkineckmum · 06/03/2018 11:51

Thanks. I've felt a few wriggles but no kicks. They said it's fine to come in this afternoon, so I'll do that with both kids!

LoveRainbow02 · 06/03/2018 11:55

@blinkineckmum I would go up to the hospital asap with reduced movement. Take no chances! I went yesterday with reduced movement, all was fine and it resulted in me getting a sweep and back tomorrow for induction date.
