Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

@ZoeRoma ah I'm usually quite a keen drinker when it comes to social situations so I understand your worries about people maybe being curious why your not drinking. I don't usually mind beer which they sell non alcoholic beers such as becks or San Miguel. Also there's plenty of non alcoholic wines! Buy a non alcoholic wine, buy a cheap bottle of normal wine and put the non alchoholic wine in the normal bottle! Who will guess? Wink

@Mothermnd my mum had me younger than I will be with this baby (I'll be 24) and she was married but I know she and none of my family will judge, I've been with DP 4 years, we have a mortgage and very stable jobs which we've worked hard to get so I am just as responsible as the next person! Just worried as DP's family are quite judgemental when it comes to this! :(

@Mothermnd I got myself a non-alcoholic beer to drink at home last night. I was home alone, OH working. When he got back, he saw the bottle and didn't see the small "0.0%", and was like "what have you done???" Shock

@peterpanwendy don't worry about what his family think. There's not one problem you have that's stopping you from having a baby. Me and my OH both work for his dads company and OH has a very good job and we're moving into our new home on the 8th of Jan. Anyone who's had any opinions towards my pregnancy I've made it very clear that I don't need them around me or my baby when i have the baby. You do what's right for you and focus ONLY on you, your baby and your OH! His family will come around sooner or later, if they don't then they're the ones missing out! Xx

@ZoeRoma haha! I do the same, makes me feel like a normal human when I'm drinking my non alcoholic beer! Much prefer the beer over the wine as it tastes the same as alcoholic beer! Bet your OH didn't think you'd be so clever as to get the non alcoholic beers Wink ! Enjoy them!

@Mothermnd yeah I don't see how you can life a life like us and still get judged! I know his DM will be over the moon it's just extended family and I will just be like you and make my feelings clear! We want to tell our parents soon but will wait till 12 weeks to tell extended family!

Dont be worrying about what other people think as you will never please everyone and who would really want too!!! Their is nothing stopping anyone being fantastic parents never mind age, work status etc... and those of you talking about food and being healthy a massive well done to you on trying to keep healthy while struggling to eat!!! Im just focusing on eating atm i think ill stick with plain foods and non fatty food full of flavour which is annoying me slightly as i wanna get back fo healthy eating (i do slimming world) as putting on more weight is not going to sit well with me (been overweight most of my life)

It's a relief to see everyone reporting on their symptoms! Some commiserating here.

I was quite symptom-free up till last week, just had sore boobs, some fatigue and stomach cramps but just this weekend (tdy 8w +6) it's all changed. I've become (unnecessarily) emotional, extremely tired, nauseous and light-headed (which is a bit scary when I'm out).
And very poor appetite. I would feel hungry or this nagging thought I had better eat so I will cook but barely eat two bites of it.

And some weird and irrational part of me says I shdnt be moaning openly abt this at all, lest I hurt the bub's feelings. What?!?!?! Logically, I know it can't be but I just have somehow created this irrational narrative abt myself right now... anyone else?

@LMX0 I do slimming world too, so worried about trying to keep it up over Xmas and then the pregnancy, I want to eat everything in sight!

Hi fellow mums to be,
How are we all?
I had my 12 week scan this afternoon. I was worrying for nothing...went well. In fact it went so well, that we were also able to find out baby's sex!
Was a such a beautiful experience!...can't wait for the next 2 scans.

How is everyone feeling today? I don't feel too awful at the moment, a little bit queasy and just generally under the weather. DS has been packed off to Child Minder in the hope I can wrap some presents and tidy up a bit but it just ain't happening at the moment. 12 week scan isn't for just over another 3 weeks yet. It's really dragging....

Hi @BuffalotheGruffalo! I'm feeling pretty good, got my hair done this morning :) but it feels a bit weird that my hairdresser knows I'm pregnant before my dad and sisters do! (I had to check the dye she was going to use was safe).

Otherwise just tired and really forgetful lol

Did my wrapping yesterday though, yay!

@ZoeRoma Ishould've been having mine done today but cancelled earlier this week in a panic about hair dye! I probably could've just asked but I wasnt really sure what to do.

I'm so tired, just woke up from a nap but need another one ....
