I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.
MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk
If you need help in obtaining medication, phone them on:
024 7638 2020
Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy
I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.
Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

As long as they are empty Just, that could be messy lol.

Blue I’m with Natsku pack your hospital bag woman!!! I’m sure your eyebrows look lovely and cleaning products were essential however neither will be required for birthing that boy if yours 😂😂. So glad you are feeling more positive it is a lovely change of pace.

Dead popcorn chicken sounds good, I find cucumber gives me really bad heartburn and makes me vomit. So do grapes Sad crap considering both are so refreshing initially.

Hi Tree sorry you are feeling so low I’m always amazed when others come on and say how long they survive without the meds. Never took metclopramide so cant advice but stemetil was utterly useless for me.

Glad Dr went well Seize ondansetron might be the culprit my dizzy spells may have stopped about the same time as I stopped taking it now I think about it.

BlueButTrue · 06/11/2017 22:28

justtheonethen you’re a girl after my own heart Grin

Mustang I’m doing it in the morning, I promise! I don’t know why I haven’t got round to it, I’m a very organised person... I do have all the bits for it at the ready though

BlueButTrue · 06/11/2017 22:29

I’m sure your eyebrows look lovely and cleaning products were essential however neither will be required for birthing that boy if yours

I’ll be spraying Dettol AND admiring my brows whilst birthing, don’t you know?

Anyone who tried to challenge me shall get a mouth full of chemicals Grin

DeadDoorpost · 06/11/2017 22:52

Ahaha blue if I go to asda by myself my nan will flip if I start going into labour because of it lol. But I do have my hospital bag packed and done so at least that m&s something.
mustang I've not actually had cucumber in ages so don't know how it'll affect me. I did go and get croissants though this evening. Might eat a few more now as I'm feeling a bit hungry...
just keep any vomit away from me I'm still recovering from my own sudden vomit the other day. 😂😂

Been getting twinges but Nothing major. Haven't mentioned them to DH as I don't want to make him worry for no reason.

OnNaturesCourse · 07/11/2017 07:59

Lol @ blue with the cleaning products and eyebrows 😂 one of my "things" throughout this pregnancy has been the smell of detol - can't get enough of it.

dead how are you this morning?

I had a emotional breakdown down last night after DP started nodding off while I was trying to get bump to move (bumps been pretty quiet in terms of kicks etc) I was also feeling sick, frustrated and too hot so I walked out the bedroom without a word to him and huffed on the sofa. He eventually came looking for me wondering what the hell was going on and his "want a hug" comment just burst the water works (which tbf had been building up for days) After some self pity, TLC and a good sleep (only 1 pee break!) I feel much better today, just a little swishy tummy which is my own fault for waking hungry and eating within 5 minutes of getting up!

Something odd happened last night though, DP could feel bump kicking but I couldn't. My stomach was harder than usual, probably because I was so pent up, and I hadnt felt anything for a few hours however DP says there was definitely a good amount of movement. Reassuring but very strange!

OnNaturesCourse · 07/11/2017 08:06

Ps. Anyone else finding towards the end that their eating habits and cravings make the nausea worse? Ie being starving first thing but the craving of spreadable cheese on toast is questionable with your tummy? I'm so upset with my body wanting things that'll make it sick but for the glorious couple of minutes of eating it's bliss!

justtheonethen · 07/11/2017 08:38

Don't worry, empty bags! I've fashioned a sash out of ondansetron packets for the first to go too Grin

Popcorn chicken sounds so up my street. Is that a supermarket version?

on that is strange, reassuring he could feel it though. Sorry you felt so upset Sad.

Whoever is asking about metoclopromide I take it with ondansetron and I find the stomach emptying fastness of it a godsend. I was initially worried about taking it for a while because of the potential effects but I've had none.

CatalpaTree · 07/11/2017 09:12

just that was me. Thanks, taken my first one this morning. Am waiting for some magic!

nature yes on dettol! And Cif cream. And petrol Blush

BlueButTrue · 07/11/2017 09:47

OnNatures I have LOVED Dettol this pregnancy too! Can’t get enough Grin

Sorry, I probably seem way too invested lol. But sniffing cleaning products has been a big thing with me, along with chewing fresh towels as you all know Blush

OnNatures Yep, and if I’m not sick with it, I almost certainly won’t finish it. I get full quite easily too

BlueButTrue · 07/11/2017 09:48

Cata Has to be the original Cif cream for me, it’s lovely

BlueButTrue · 07/11/2017 09:49

Anyone else that’s getting BH’s experiencing them around their back/bottom sometimes? I seem to get these little sharp twinges every now and then, and they then turn into me thinking I need the loo...When I don’t at all.

LucindaE · 07/11/2017 10:10

OnNature's Waters gone? Doesn't that mean they will induce within twenty-four hours if no sign of labour? What do they say?
BlueButTrue It's a rite of passage, that bag packing. Those pains sound nasty. Waves to justtheone and everyone.
I hope everyone is coping today...

DeadDoorpost · 07/11/2017 10:27

lucinda her waters haven't gone.. she said the water works started because she was crying. 😉
nature totally fed up is how I'm feeling. Must have taken me until at least 4am this morning to fall asleep. Feeling a bit cranky as well tbh. Don't risk it with the speeadable cheese... It's not nice throwing it back up.
just Yeah, Aldi's popcorn chicken. Southern fried but they do a regular version as well.
blue the only smell I love is the smell of vinegar but that's not even a pregnancy craving that's just a normal thing for me. I've had no cravings at all.

DeadDoorpost · 07/11/2017 10:29

blue is your baby back to back because that can cause pains around tour back and bum...
nature again... just as I think of it.. DH can feel BabyDoor move sometimes when I can't. I think it depends on the movement he does and where his hands are but who knows.

BlueButTrue · 07/11/2017 10:45

Dead I clean with white vinegar Grin

Hmmm the back to back theory sounds interesting, his movements have become very muffled to tell you the truth! Still there, but they all feel like they’re right inside of me instead of on the surface, if that makes sense?

DeadDoorpost · 07/11/2017 11:14

Makes sense. My placenta is anterior so the movements are muffled anyway but seeing as he's also how he should be the kicks are in my ribs where his legs are tucked up. If he punches then they feel like they're inside more. I'd phone your midwife if you're concerned though at all. Could just be ligaments, could be nothing apart from baby just being in the way.

BlueButTrue · 07/11/2017 11:33

Dead I’m off to see her at 3pm today, I’ll bring it up with her then

OnNaturesCourse · 07/11/2017 12:18

Argh the water works went again this morning... Over scuffed wooden flooring. DP actually on way home from work cos I got myself in that much of a dizzy plus I've not felt bump move today. I'm so done with this.

BlueButTrue · 07/11/2017 12:37

OnNatures I’m so sorry to hear it Flowers I hope the afternoon is better for you.

Have a cuddle with your DH and be assured you’re doing the best you can

OnNaturesCourse · 07/11/2017 12:44

Thanks Blue. Even your typed words nearly started me again. I'm off to hospital once DP gets home due to the reduced movement plus I'm still getting old blood discharge and increased sickness. Hopefully checking in with baby will cheer me up. Having a total "I suck" day today, and feeling pretty sorry for myself. Pathetic Sad

justtheonethen · 07/11/2017 12:55

ons hope you get some nice reassurance at the hospital. Enjoy some time with DP.

at lucinda

cata fingers crossed you get the magic, it only works for me combined with ondansetron (which also doesn't work alone) so if the magic doesn't happen go and request that's added.

I need some Aldi popcorn chicken!

Oklahoma · 07/11/2017 13:06

I can’t keep up! 38 weeks today and Blue I haven’t packed my bag yet either. I think I’m in denial...

Welcome to newbies, I am SO sorry you’ve had to join us.

DeadDoorpost · 07/11/2017 13:38

I just want to sleep today. Got a really dull ache in my abdomen but it's not doing anything else besides annoy me. I've got a weird taste in my mouth and did I mention that I just want to sleep??
nature hope you get some good reassurances. It sucks that you've been so emotional though.
blue let us know how you get on with her. Hopefully everuthing is all good and normal.
okla we're all so close and I think it's driving us all mad. Go pack that bag of yours 😂😂

Mustang27 · 07/11/2017 13:53

Oklahoma?!? You should know better lolz

Ons please keep us posted on your hospital visit and be kinder to yourself. Massive hugs.

Hope you get the sleep you need Dead.

BlueButTrue · 07/11/2017 15:07

Starts pack with Oklamhoma, including personalised leather jackets saying “we don’t need no bags” Grin
