honeyapple · 10/05/2007 11:16

Cor Blimey!!! Hurrah!!! This has really made my day!!!

Congratulations Mr and MrsMcJnr! Well I knew it was going to be long!

Hope you get some help from your GP with the thrombowhatsits and you manage to put the worries behind you. I think the fact that you have had no spotting this time is a very positive indicator. Wow! So excited for you!

Gosh... just popped onto MN for a second before picking up DD from playgroup... Will be back very soon.

Yippee!!
xxx

honeyapple · 10/05/2007 11:21

Sorry- I knew it WASNT going to be long.... too excited to type properly!

MrsMcJnr · 10/05/2007 12:19

Thank you so much you are all so sweet to me spoke to GP and she was a bit frosty at first but said she'd contact haematologist and call me back. I'll feel much better after I've spoken/seen consultant I think

honeyapple · 10/05/2007 12:21

Hi

Chooster- just seen you have ordered one of those Amby Nature nest hammocks.... I really fancy one. Let me know your opinion when it arrives!

Saw MW yesterday- wont see her again until 28 wks.... seems a long way away....
All fine, she was very complimentary on my bump . I definitely can feel it moving about, and also see my tummy move. Will be 16 wks tommorrow.

Babymad- I like that silver cross 3D... watched the video on kiddicare...

Just had to pop on to say big big big big congratulaitons to MRSMC!!!!! I got your text in the middle of a meeting and was SO EXCITED!!!!! I had to text my DH straight away to tell him too . I know there are few more hurdles to come but you are over the first really major hurdle in getting your BFP. Just stay positive and take each day as it comes. .

Thanks for making me feel better Greedy! Knowing you have wonky bits too has made it all seem better somehow In know, I'd never heard the word fanjo before MN - its a wierd one, but at least people know what you mean. I now have thrush too so there is no way DH is coming anywhere near me even if I was up to it . It must be a sorry sight down there...

Honeyapple - Yes, am expecting my amby hammock tomorrow. Heard some great things about them - actually I've not heard anything negative really. I thought it was worth a go as DS really didn't get on with his moses basket and the hammock looks much more cosy. I'll let you know what its like.

Hi to everyone else - Babymad - I still haven't told DH about the car. Problem is I keep forgetting I've done it . Must tell him soon!!!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 10/05/2007 13:50

chooster - i KNOW what you are like! didnt it take you 20 weeks to tell everyone at work you were pg? will it take you this long to tell dh about the car too?....tut tut!!

Bodkin · 10/05/2007 13:57

Just thought I'd add my congrats to MrsMc on here as well - already saw your other thread and posted there too. Like Chooster said, that must be a great feeling getting over that first hurdle - and don't worry if the line is faint - I think mine was pretty faint for the first few days after AF due - wasn't until about a week later it got good and strong.

Firsty - you have such a good memory for everybody's stuff! and you are incredibly thoughtful too - what would we do without you?! My help is actually in the shed as we speak working away, but the work I have left to do is something only I can finish. However, turned a big corner last night and finished off a repair job that has been going on for ever and has been a filthy dirty job. Now just got a lovely church window to do, which will be much more enjoyable.

Chooster - so you've gone for the hammock eh? let me know how you get on, it sounds fab.

Greedy - that's ace news about the extension and the builder all being sorted. Don't get too stressed by it, it will all be worth it in the end.

Fettle - thank god that dullard Adam has finally gone eh (apprentice)? Isn't Katie so completely barking mad!!!! You've got to love her, but you'd never employ her in a million years. My money is on Christina for the job I think.... Also, can't believe you've never seen your bits/fanjo/flaps!!! have a good look now before they are distorted beyond all recognition by baby no. 2! Only kidding

greedygreedyguzzler · 10/05/2007 14:07

bodders - we just need jadine and trey to get fired now! i thought katie was great until last week and then she started to lose it a bit and then last night she couldn't stop grinning all the time...........what was THAT all about?

do you spend a lot of time looking at your bits then bodders? you made it sound like its a daily occurence!!! but fettle, you cant honestly mean you have never had a look down there! not ever? you must have, surely!!!! you might be hideously deformed like chooster, you better check it out!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 10/05/2007 14:08

only joking chooster! i am sure your bits are just gorgeous really!

sorry everyone!.................not sure whats gotten into me today!

MrsMcJ -- phantastic news! I am very very happy to hear your good news!!!!!!! I am sure you'll have ups and downs, especially until you have talked to the consultant, but there is a really good now that things will work out this time. I keep my fingers crossed and think of you.

honeyapple · 10/05/2007 15:18

You girls do make me laugh .

Yesterday we put gravel down on our disgusting concrete/patio area... looked lovely... only for local cats to think it is shitting heaven . Had to shovel up a load of stinking turds earlier... was nearly sick. Have now just bought some smelly deterent stuff from garden centre and chucked it all over the place. Have also been googling sonic deterents too!

Firsty- MW was lovely... all fine and great. She had a student MW 'helping' ... who nearly took my arm off taking my BP... and then spent at least 5 mins failing to find baby HB. Honestly I wasnt stressing out (much). Maureen found HB in about 2 seconds. I dunno how they learn it all... I mean the student was feeling my tummy... and I dont think she had a clue what she was doing TBH!

Re the hammock- I have read a couple of negative reviews, people saying baby hated it etc... also I think that most agree that although the blurb says upto 12 mths... more like 6-8 mths.... my DS was climbing out of his cot at 9 mths... don't think i could have contained him in a hammock until then. They do look lovely though. I showed DP it and he said- get it, if you want it...
Still not sure though. Potentially a bit of a gimmick?

Bodkin · 10/05/2007 15:34

Oh yes Greedy, i spend HOURS down there, preening and pruning

Honeyapple - your new litter tray/patio sounds gorgeous. I've heard lion poo is the thing to use, but don't know if that might be a gimmick as well. Glad all went well with Maureen.

Firsty- I agree about the student and longer appointment- however MW was in a rush as she had a backlog due to some daft PG lady forgetting to sign in at reception and hence sat in waiting room for 45 mins... and totally missed her appointment... which was then the time for my appointment, so MW saw her first... and then it all got rather rushed.

With DD birth my MW was newly qualified and she was lovely... although when I was 10 CM and ready to go for it... she said she thought it would be another hour to go until I could push... I said I didnt think so... and DD promptly came out!
