Chooster, I forgot to give you loads of sympathy for having thrush as well on top of your vvvs! I had it for 6 months once and just couldn't shift it, utterly miserable, so you have my utmost sympathies. I think we should start a charity campaign - Friends of Chooster's Fanjo. I'm thinking t-shirts, walkathons, charidee single....

greedygreedyguzzler · 10/05/2007 17:29

bodders - i LOVE your charity idea! i will contribute! we could all do a sponsored walk or something in aid of choosters bits! i will design a t-shirt if you like, maybe with a picture of a big hairy muff on the front saying "save chooster's fango" or something similar, but funny!

honeyapple - i have some lion poo knocking around in the loft if you want me to dig it out? i have been keeping it, just in case! do ou want me to send it to you?

honeyapple · 10/05/2007 17:36

Ooohhh! Yes Please Greedy!

Poor old Chooster... all this talk of her bits... thrush... horrid... stop eating mushrooms....

Aga- doo doo doo- push pineapple, shake the tree...come and itch your bits with me...

Bodkin · 10/05/2007 18:02

Grin Grin Grin

Bodkin · 10/05/2007 18:04

(sorry Chooster!)

fettleandminifettle · 10/05/2007 19:28

Help - pelvic floor, pelvic floor, pelvic floor [ROFL][ROFL]!

fettleandminifettle · 10/05/2007 19:45

Okay - I'm recovered now! Poor Chooster - she's in pain and you are all teasing her [but you have made me laugh, which I needed today - sorry Chooster!]

Tell you what though, there is no way I'm checking my bits now and telling you guys what I find - you're mean!!! but if I do, how do I know what is normal, i've never seen another girl's bits, well i've obviously seen DD's, but I don't think that counts!

Such fantastic news about you MrsMc! So pleased for you - promise you will take it easy, as if we have to tell you that. I think I've already said this on another thread, but I'm so glad your GP and consultant are being so quick. Hope the appointment on Monday goes well.

I heard that lion-poo was good for deterring animals just this week too. But where are you supposed to get it - not something that your local supermarket will sell is it!!.

Now apprentice chat - thank goodness that Adam has gone. I think it will be the pretty quiet one, who will win. Idon't even know her name, she's cleverly keeping her head down - don't forget Sir Alan, likes a pretty face from last series!! As for Katie, DH actually sort of knows her from military college - they were there at the same time, but she's since left the army. Not sure what I think of Kristina - jury's out still!

Anyway, DH is out, so I have to go make me some supper - he's told me jam sandwiches are not suitable!! Just cos he's gone for a curry with his friends! - pah!

take care

Chooster · 10/05/2007 20:37

Well (sniff) (sniff), I've finally managed to get off the phone from my fanjo-therapist who agrees you are all really really mean. As if I'm not suffering enough, my cyber-pals use my discomfort as entertainment However I do like the fund raising idea - perhaps it could pay for my reconstructive surgery post-baby. We could have before and after shots as well just to show contributors how well their money was spent .

Speaking of fanjo's my DH trained the manager of Hooters this afternoon but had to do it at a strip joint instead of the Hooters place and claims he needs to go back there tonight to drop off some paperwork and the invoice! Yeah right.... I reckon he hoped to see some totty at the place but was dis-appointed so he's giving it another go . Anyway I asked him to ask the guy how much these girls make (just curious - no-one would pay to see mine after the slating its just received) and he said some girls make £3,000 a week! Not bad eh??? Aparently some guy spent over £11k in one weekend - whats that about .

Interesting about the hammock honeyapple - I also read that it probably wont last until 12 months, but I figured even if it helps me get some better sleep for a few months it'll be worth it. What swung it for me was that they have a really high re-sale value on e-bay so it wont actually cost that much in the long run.

Anyway, should really be catching up with work, but am going to track down MrsMc news - See ya ladies.

KitKat30 · 11/05/2007 08:54

Morning girls! Nice to see you're all on excellent form... This thread gets more bonkers by the minute...

Chooster - let us know how you get on with the Amby Natures Nest? I'm very keen on getting one too. Has anyone else got one?

Yippee for it being Friday and the weekend. Anyone doing anything nice???

BabyMadwithBump · 11/05/2007 09:58

Hey ladies My daft mother strikes again! She got her blood results ? all clear I thought then how did I get this if she isn?t a carrier and doesn?t have the gene? More investigation ? turns out she got tested for Factor V Leiden instead of the Prothrombin mutation I have and still doesn?t have a clue if she has this gene (and won?t stop taking HRT until she knows she?s at risk )

Honeyapple ? glad all went well at the MW 16 weeks ? wow! Sorry about the patio - Keep away from the cat crap though! That?s one of the best things about being pg again, DH has to tend to the furry babies litter!!

Hi Firsty how?s the back? Thanks for the congrats DH is excited but trying to measure it, as I am I guess. Can?t remember being so hungry (or so hot!) last time! No sickness yet but then again, there?s time for that!

Chooster ? thanks for your texts!! I?ll have to look at this hammock! If there really is a short time span of occupancy and you are looking for a buyer come the New Year, bear me in mind (hopefully!! Move to Spain now likely to be Feb ? funnily enough!) Sorry about the Fanjo flustering you are having!

Greedy good point about Chooster ? best person at keeping secrets that I know! Now will be singing aga do all day because of you!

Thanks Bodkin ? I just can?t really believe it?s true! Dug out my what to expect book last night, let?s hope I get past the first few chapters this time! Don?t work too hard.

Glimmer, thank you! how are you getting on?

Fettleandmini ? thanks!

Hello to Babymad

And everyone else!!

Chooster · 11/05/2007 12:12

Pahhh, should be flying to London today for a weekend with friends but DS was sick 3 times in the night... Kids eh!? . He looks right as rain today but not sure if its all an act cos he just adores our friends 8yr old daughter, so is desperate to see her. Flight not til 4.15pm so we'll see....

Firsty - my fanjo therapist charges a lot - but then she has a lot to deal with

honeyapple · 11/05/2007 14:55

Greedy- I did have a buggy board for a bit... not bad for small tired legs... although quite difficult to push with it and child on... have to walk a bit strangely to stop yourself banging into it. Also my DD used to sit on it sometimes. Dunno about the buggypod. You can get these cool double buggies that are only as big as a regular stroller cos they are kind of tiered seats like at the cinema. One behind the other, but slightly higher up.

Got to go and get DS now. Had a look at prams/buggies in Mothercare this am.
Babymad-
decided the silver cross 3d is nice but too big for me. search goes on...

greedygreedyguzzler · 11/05/2007 16:53

my problem is i dont REALLY think i need a double buggy cos dd rarely uses it anyway, but just kind of want a back up in case she is ever especially knackered or ill. guess i could just drive then! its the school run i am thinking of really!
buggy boards are bad for your back cos of the way you have to push when th child is using it, so kind of goes against everything i preach to my patients if i get one!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! dont know what to do!!!

will prob wait till much nearer the time and see what dd is like then!

greedygreedyguzzler · 11/05/2007 17:12

ok so i am a DOPE!!! just remembered one of my friends has got a buggy board, so i can just borrow that! DUR! i am so dense sometimes it amazes me!!! why people trust me with their backs i'll never know!

fettleandminifettle · 11/05/2007 18:39

What's a buggypod? At nearly 6 ft, the thought of a buggyboard and backache fill me with dread, but also thinking of walking DD to nursery with a newborn too - its a long way really, so it will be good for my post-birth bottom, but I'm not sure DD will manage the whole way. But no way is a double-buggy worth it when she'll be 3.5 by then?

I miss my bubbly Greedy - hope DC sleep better tonight. Have you tried a bunny clock yet? We had trouble with DD waking at 6am and earlier, but once we had a bunny clock, we set it to 630am and she now knows that she can't get up until the bunny is awake and she's pretty good at it. This morning she even said she sang to herself for a while and watched the bunny wake up. Some mornings she wakes at 6am, we tell her bunny is still asleep and then we don't hear from her again until gone 7am - bliss on a Sunday morning!!!

Anyway, DD is making me crack up, she's copying a boogie beebies song and I can't stop crying with laughter!! I love her!

BTW, we got skyplus fitted today, so you might hear from me so much!!!!

Have a great weekend everyone.

lol

Bodkin · 11/05/2007 20:40

Aww, Fettle, your DD sounds a right star! Mine makes me crack up on regular basis - her latest "obsession" is seagull shit! (we live near the sea) "Mummy, is that seagull poo?" "yes dear". "what about that?" "yes dear" "and that?" .....

Greedy/Fettle, why don't you invest in a really good baby carrier instead? If you get one that can go front or back, you could carry bubs and push DD for quite a few months, by which time your DDs would be older and able to go a bit further?

Chooster, hope DS recovered and you managed to go to London, would have been a shame to miss out. We have raised nearly 37p so far for your reconstructive surgery we have made a "fanjometer" to track progress on the fundraising, we have nearly lit up the first level...

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/05/2007 09:30

fettle i have the same problem with being tall and the buggy board! i think i will borrow my friends and basically try not to use it and force dd to walk everywhere! it will be good for her thunder thighs anyway!
buggypods look like a great idea but i started a thread on them and everyone reckons they are pants! plus they only hold up to 15kg and i know myy dd is prob heavier than that! i remember your dd was quite a big girl too fettle, is that right? so i dont think it would be any good for us!
if its justthe walk to nursery you are worried about why not just get a second hand double buggy? thats what we did before and i guess it was ok, they are just such a pain if you ever want to go in a shop or anything.
bodders - i never got on with my baby carrier thing before. i felt like my boobs got in the way at the front and i would hate to have them behind me where i couldn't see them! plus...........my ds was such a projectile puker (he had reflux) that i would have been constantly covered in sick!

wow! i can ramble!!!! needless to say i had a better nights sleep last night! we do have a bunny clock for ds fettle and it is set at 7am. he is really good normally! he gets up at 6.30 goes for a wee, creeps back to his bedroom, SLAMS the door and wakes everyone else up, and lies on his bed chatting to his teddies till bunny pops! yesterday was a nightmare cos my dd woke up early too and he could hear her and assumed it was morning! she slept in today thank god!

better go see my first patient!

MrsMcJnr · 13/05/2007 10:55

Hello ladies

Chooster ? sorry to hear DS was unwell, wonder if you made it to London?

Thanks Firsty I have been taking your advice and have been extremely lazy all weekend hope you are well.

Hey Greedy
Hi Honeyapple

Fettleandminifettle ? what?s a bunny clock? SkyPlus is fab DH and I watched the first 4 episodes of The OC last night, oh the nostalgia!

Bodkin PMSL at DD?s obsession! And at the Fundraising!!

fettleandminifettle · 13/05/2007 17:39

Hello All

How horrible was the weather this weekend? i don't think I've seen so much rain! Managed to amuse DD relatively well - DH was a wonderful husband and father and dressed up in waterproof clothes with DD and they went out to jump in puddles and run around in the rain, while I was allowed to have a sleep!! They loved it, but they were soaking! Both came and joined me in bed to warm up afterwards!!!

Anyway, MrsMc, just wanted to wish you luck for your appointment tomorrow morning! your weekend sounds lovely! Although we have skyplus and it is great, so far today, we've only been allowed to watch CBeebies, although DH managed to persuade DD to watch some of the grand prix. Hopefully when she is asleep, we'll get to watch what we want!! Shouldn't really be watching TV while amusing DD, but when the weather is this awful...

Anyway, trying to get DD to sleep early tonight, as she's a bit tired so I've been ordered upstairs and off Mumsnet!! hopefully i'll get back later!

Take care all
xxx

ps MrsMc, a Bunny clock is an alarm clock for children, which you can set to go off at a specific time. It doesn't make a noise, just "wakes" the bunny, so a child who can't read the time yet, knows that it is time to get up. I've seen two types, one who's ears pop up, which I think Greedy has and then one with 2 lit up pictures, one with bunny in bed asleep and the other with an awake bunny on a sunny walk - which is the one we've got, so it also acts as a nightlight! Anyway, must go!!

pps Bodkin, baby carrier good idea - although didn't get on very well with one with DD, think needs must with this next one.

pps 2 sleeps til my scan and i'm starting to get nervous!

greedygreedyguzzler · 13/05/2007 20:37

fettle - your post made me smile! your dh does sound lovely! and your bunny clock sounds much better than ours! our one makes a huge klonk when it pops and so if ds is still asleep it then wakes him up which isn't ideal!

i ended up doing something i always swore i would never do today!!! we had a late night last night cos it was my dads birthday so kids went to bed late, and predictably woke up at normal time tody so were both SUPER tired and stroppy all morning! so.............i took them out for a drive so they would have a sleep cos i knew i would never be able to persuade ds to go to bed at lunch time! anyway they both slept and were lovely this afternoon!

we saw some freinds this afternoon and they are sooooooooooooooooooooooo competitive about EVERYTHING it does my head in!!! does anyone else have friends like this? i end up getting really competitive too and then hate myself for it! money, cars, houses kids etc!

good luck tomorrow mrs.
