Yes everything is fine LOL, just DC off school and having to entertain them and also lost of thinking time as things seem to be moving forwards NOT back with my mother and I don't really know how I feel at the moment about it all, it would be very nice to forget the past and move on as there is my nine sibling to think about and my 2 DC in all this and the LO, she seems to have got her act together stopped drinking, working, looking after my brothers they way she should be, moved into a bigger better house, so maybe now her life isn't so tit's up she can get on being a mother.........oh I don't know bad time I think (PG) emotions up in the air and all that, it could all back fire I think! ............I dont know ..........What do you think?

As for pushchair I've had about 40 I think stopped counting after 20, I wanted a big and bouncy chassis and DH wanted town chassis and I also wanted a pushchair I could fold and get on buses as well as fir in the boot of a small car (MIL and gran do have) so we've got 2 pram/pushchair upset up's but one with 2 chassis (we brought the 2nd chassis of ebay so it came with an extra seat unit) and we also have DS#2 3 wheeler as well ,so we have 4 for this LO, I'll post some pic's later what I have see what you think also!

Back later just off for a bath, such bad back ache at the mo I think it's because I'm all front and I'm sure if someone turn's me inside but I would be black and blue on the inside! LOL

firststar Thanks, and the pushchair's cant help it!

I've put my pic's on and you can see what I've brought, me personally I dont agree with travel systems and bare in mind that you can only have you LO in the carseat a few hours max they say about 2/3 hours a day max before it starts to damage their back!

Anyone going to the "baby show" in brum!?

Bodkin · 13/04/2007 19:41

Good to see you back Babymad - looks like interesting times ahead re. your mum.... can't offer any advice I'm afraid - my relationship with my mum is a bit of a rollercoaster one.... But could be worth giving her the benefit of the doubt, if only so you know that you did try, should things backfire.

Re leaky boobs that i mentioned earlier, if anyone is interested I found a thread about those Lilypadz - the general consensus being they are ok once things calm down a bit (i.e. when let-down reflex is not so strong) but bit leaky at the beginning if you are a fountain of milkiness....

Well, while MrsMc is planning her luxury exotic holiday, we are planning a camping weekend! I do love it though (we have a vw campervan) and DD is very excited.

Good to see you back babymad - wow thats a pretty impressive collection of pushchairs / prams. So I guess you'd recommend getting a pram and seperate car seat? Good luck with your mum. As Bodkin says at least if you try then you'll have no regrets whichever way it works out. Maybe try to keep your expectations from getting too high and take every visit / conversation as it comes. Really good luck...

Am thinking of going to the babyshow in Glasgow, just to get some ideas. I think DH will beg me to leave my purse at home. I'll really try to be good though because he's starting to get a bit worried about things. He's being made redundant the beginning of June and I start mat leave at the end of June, so not great timing. Even though we have a plan to see us through the time I'm taking off work, I think he's starting to get quite anxious... I just really hope he doesn't get too wound up about it.

Hope you all have good weekends!!!

BabyMadwithBump · 14/04/2007 11:01

The carseat I have matches my main pram and my pramette and can be fitted to the chassis of my main pram as well as the pramette so if I wanted to or needeed to, I could use them as a travel system, when I brought my main pram I brought it from babybirds they had it in the xmas sale, if I brought the pram setup up with the accessory pack I got the car seat free worth £70, it cost all in all £380 I think, well it was 16 months ago LOL, but well worth it I cant wait to use it, the carseat has I little cute footmuff which is very useful.
I've gone for silvercross this time I use to like mamas and papas but for some reason in the last 2/3 years they've got too big for there boots and price's have gone up not just a little but alot, and not alot to show for the increase, like the car seat's they use to be £90 but now there £150 and they only thing they've changed is the base and afew updates! enough about that I could go on forever but this is one thing I would say price up yourself (if you go for M&P) what you get from mamas and then price up other brands and you'll see for yourself!

Pramcarzy oh well!

honeyapple where abouts in kent? my dad was born in kent gravesend, we tuck almost all our hoildays in kent too, lovely place!

It's very hot today, very nice, hopefuly we'll get to see lots of sun this yesr dont like the cold much!

Bodkin · 15/04/2007 16:19

Honeyapple - I am curious as to where you are in Kent too. I lived in Whitstable for about 6 months once, right on the sea-front. I love that north coast along there, especially Broadstairs. Are you quite near the coast then?

The campervan is fab, but it has been a bit neglected since having DD (it used to be the baby before she came along, with many hours spent making curtains and cushions for it - now it's lucky if I sweep it out once in a while ) Took it to the beach today for a fry-up, but she took a while to get going, so better get her serviced before we attempt any camping trips further afield, otherwise we'll spend most of the trip on the hard-shoulder....

Just filled paddling pool up for DD. Can't believe it is only April!

greedyforbabies · 15/04/2007 20:26

hello all!

yes pramcrazy/babymad, honeyapple and i are both mad enough to be having our third babies too! my ds is 3.8 and my dd is 2.3!

had a great weekend! my dh picked me up after work and we dropped the kids off at my mum and dads for the weekend (they all had a great time!). then he took me into london and we booked into a very posh hotel in park lane and then he took me to the theatre and out to an amazing morocan restaurant afterwards! its not like him to surprise at all and i was so chuffed! he is definately in my good books at the moment!!! obviously i showed him just how grateful i was this morning! twice!! (the joys of having no kids around hey!)

how guilty did i feel for not getting him a present at all hey?! whoops!

i hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine today! isn't it glorious! i LOVE THE SUN!!!!

BabyMadwithBump · 15/04/2007 21:26

This is my 3rd AND LAST too! DS's are 7 and almost 5 yrs, it will be 5 yrs since i've had a baby baby in the house DS#2 keep's going round saying he's the baby well we'll see how that pan's, out due to the fact DS#1 (2yrs at the time) started misbehaving shortly after DS#2 was bron but DS#2 know's about babies (SIL LO now 2yrs but more like 9 months due to brain damage) and that bump's are babies so he know what's coming IYSWIM, so he's acting up now putting nappy's on and dummies in his mouth and crying like a baby and so on because he understands where as DS#1 when DS#2 was bron one min no baby next min baby, we'll see, as on the other hand both DS's are FAB with babies and small children.

Sick of not beinng able to breath probably, sick of being fat, sick of being beaten up, sick of being unable to sleep, and so sick of MAT clothes! apart from that feeling GREAT!

honeyapple · 15/04/2007 21:38

Evening,

Another lovely day. Spent it in SILs garden... BBQ and paddling pool!

Babymad- my DC are 8 and 4.5 yrs... so I am also a bit apprehensive of having a little baby in the house again. DD asked me where the baby comes out... so I had to do the special hole conversation...

We live in Tonbridge, nr Tunbridge Wells, so our nearest seaside is Hastings/Eastbourne... E. sussex coast rather than the North Kent coast. Although we do often go there. I too love Broadstairs. And also Birchington and Margate- very different seasides. There is a great beach called Joss Bay there... fab sandy beach, one of the best bucket and spade beaches.

I am feeling much better and my general tiredness and queasiness is going too. Looking forward to looking properly preggers rather than just a bit lardy in the tummy area.

Greedy- what a lovely weekend, lucky you. What did you see at the theatre?

greedyforbabies · 15/04/2007 21:47

we saw 'treats' at the theatre honeyapple! it was really good. billie piper and the bloke from 'my family' and the BT ads were in it!
glad you had a lovley day. this weather makes such a difference to everything doesn't it? did you see that someone else on the oct thread lost their baby? there have been so many losses on that thread haven't there?
my ds asked how the baby gets out too and i said through 'special hole that only ladies have' too. obviously his next question was "can i see your special hole mummy?!!"
