Hello all - we're back!!!

Hope you are all ok - welcome Lissie and Ambi.

Sorry to hear about AF, MrsMc, but at least now you know where you are - all the best people are born in January - well at least I was!!!! Keep positive.

Honey, great news on scan, not so good on infection - hope you are feeling better. Read a really interesting book (if you are scientist) on the discovery of penicillin while I was away!! Wonder drug - I'm allergic, but still a wonder drug!!

Anyway, I've tried to scan the thread really quickly, so I've probably missed lots - sorry

We had a great time - weather was beautiful, but then I hear it was pretty good here too! Was even brave enough for a couple of days skiing and I went swimming, so I've done more exercise this week, than I have since DD was born - shocking, I know, but my gosh, the thigh burn!!!! Hopefully not over done it, but did enjoy it - not really felt minifettle move, but hopefully it is still too early to feel them predictably yet - I felt DD from 16 weeks, so not there yet with this one.

Greedy - glad to see you've been moved into a september baby too!! Day after me now!!

DH is grumping at me to go help unpack and do the washing - but I'd rather stay on here, watching lazy town with DD!!

Back to work tomorrow - poey!!

Back later - if i'm allowed!!

take care all

hiya fettly! nice to have you back! glad you managed to relax and have so much fun, it sounds great!
i dont believe my september date, but its what i am going with cos it makes me further along than i really am and i cant get to 40 weeks quick enough!
just about to make a very healthy smoothie with bananas, strawberries and some squishy old kiwis that are rotting in the fruit bowl! sounds good hey! (apart from maybe the kiwis!)

did we ever figure out your name firsty? and what about kitkat?

fettleandminifettle · 11/04/2007 18:40

Greedy - that sounds really healthy!!

Just been rung by dr's to be told my blood test results showed that I'm slightly anemic - already!!! Have a prescription to pick up tomorrow, but I've been feeling really "woo" and dizzy since then, hypocondriac or what, eh?!!

Anyway, DD just had supper outside in the garden - I love warm weather - not even that sunny here. Anyone know how long it is meant to last, totally out of the UK weather still!!

Bath-time

Hello ladies when I was down yesterday, I thought of the things that would make me happy (aside from the obvious!) and I realised that I wasn?t looking forward to my holiday in France with my rellies really, sounds awful but I just want to lie on a beach with DH and forget about everyone I know (yourselves excluded) I?m getting so sick of all my relatives telling me to move on and it?ll be fine next time etc etc and I just don?t feel like being reminded all the time I am on holiday that I?m not pregnant. So, I?ve managed to provisionally persuade DH that we should go for a cheap package deal somewhere hot and exotic on our own. I have set up a thread {http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1366&threadid=306486&stamp=070412100234\here} and if anyone knows of how to get really cheap deals, I would be so grateful for the help. DH is being really strict on the money front (cos we?re skint!!) I?m excited just at the prospect of going!

I suppose you are right on the weight front Firsty, thank you I hope things go well with the MW this afternoon and that you get some help with your back soon.

Greedy ? that?s one slimming club I haven?t tried! I always thought AF was just an excuse but I like the Star week philosophy I know about the gauging it over a month thing but it?s still good to see losses each week if you know what I mean! You may be right about most things hon but not about your latest BFP if I remember rightly I?d love to meet you, you know, I really would! Smoothie sounds lovely ? without the fuzz though!

Hello Fettleandmini ? hope you had a lovely time and replaced all the old memories with great new ones! I?m allergic to penicillin too by the way ? that was a fun discovery ? NOT! Greedy - that sounds really healthy!! Sorry to hear about the anaemia.

Hello Bodkin ? don?t watch the Apprentice ? sorry!

Hello Honeyapple ? hope you are feeling better

Hello Chooster ? hope they are not working you too hard!

greedyforbabies · 12/04/2007 10:25

firsty - where are you based? do you know the name of your chiro? i might know her and be able to tell you if she is any good!

bodders! - i saw the apprentice last night...............what do you want to know!? what a twat tre is? and Jadine (or whatever her name is) for that matter.............i can NOT believe that these contestants are supposed to be some of the brightest business minds in the country! i think even i could do better with my porridge brains!

MrsMcJnr · 12/04/2007 10:28

Whoops!

I have set up a thread here

greedyforbabies · 12/04/2007 10:33

morning mrs! can't believe you haven't tried slimming world! i thought you were like me and had tried every diet in the world! anyway........hope you are managing to stick to your diet still, its VERY disheartening when you gain isn't it? i am still weighing myself every morning, even now! i am completely weight obsessed! off to check out your thread about holidays, we always go on the cheap if possible (apart from our last hol!).......and.......... i would have thought you would have known how to post links by now! really mrs! and a random bit of fettles message stuck in the middle of yours! oh dear! you are losing it!

i could be lurking on MN a lot this morning cos its either that or do my tax return....................HHHHHHHhhhhhhmmmm! i wonder which will tempt me the most!

i trained with michelle murphy i think. the name really rings a bell and i am sure its who i am thinking of. i couldn't tell you much about her though i am afraid cos she wasn't in the same 'gang' as me! its a good sign that she trained at the same time as me though cos that means she only qualified 4 years ago and therefore her knowledge and techniques are up to date! never heard of gemma im afraid, doesn't mean shes not fantastic though! i would try and speak to them both and see who has the most experience of dealing with pg women (and if either of them have been pg themselves cos i am sure that helps.......i dont think michelle has, not sure though)

one of my friends lives in nuneaton, is that where you are? she lives in bronte close......do you know it?

Jesus Greedy - do you mean to say you are doing your 2006/7 tax return already?!!! Blimey, thought I was keen planning to do it in June! DP always waits until the very last minute to do his and it drives me nuts!

Tre and Jadine are clearly completely barking - but make great telly. I think that is the most important criteria in the selection process for this show, really. Can't see any would be "Badgers" emerging yet... I think it might be repeated on Tuesday next week, so might still be able to catch up... This is the only prog on telly I am watching at the mo, so am slightly obsessed - can you tell

That's a great idea about a holiday Mrs - just what you and DP need

honeyapple · 12/04/2007 11:59

Hiya,

Well thanks for all your well wishes, I am feeling better today, although still coughing.

Plumber nearly finished the bathroom, I hope... i managed to have a bath last night, despite it not all being finished. Was kind of weird because the taps are now in the opposite end of the bath, so I was looking at the room from a different angle... anyway all slowly looking good, hope to be using it with my home birth!!

I feel a huge sense of relief since having the scan and getting to 12 wks. So... just 6 more months to wait... When did anybody tell non family/friend types... ie teachers/ school friend mums/ supermarket checkout person/ man in garage/ lady at the library etc... shall I just wait until I am showing??

honeyapple · 12/04/2007 12:02

Hi Bodkin,

I havent managed to watch any of the apprentice this year... saw it last time. They all just drive me mad at being SO rubbish.

Where shall we tell Mrsmcj to go on holiday then? Have to look at her thread...
cheap and exotic....How cheap? I used to be a travel consultant specialising in Asia and Africa... if she wants to pick my brain!

MrsMcJnr · 12/04/2007 12:20

Greedy - sorry!

Ohh Honeyapple - would love a pick! Budget is a very embarrasing £800 though!

Chooster · 12/04/2007 12:45

Ooooh, a holiday sounds just perfect MrsMc! Just what you and DH need - it'll be worth every penny. Sorry you are not really looking forward to France... And yes, they are working me too hard! . Well its only really beacuse I was off with DS being ill but I've got SO much to catch up on. I have to do this monthly reporting and every month I say I'll do it before it needs to be submitted but then I always leave it to the last minute. I'm afraid I'm probably a little like you DP Bodders...

Anyway, I arrived at my office at 6.45 this morning to finish it off only to find out the car park doesn't open til 7am. The car park dude (some man / woman hybrid ) was there but he wouldn't let me through til 7.01am. Grrrrrrrr..... Sorry, its not moaning Tuesday is it...

Anyway, glad to hear that your getting a bit better Honeyapple, even if you are still coughing.

A pal of mine is a Mctimoney greduate as well Greedy - although I think she will graduated a little later? Anyway she's called Jo McMahon

Hope everyone else is doing well - midwife for me too this afternoon!!!

Chooster- I used to work with a women called Jo Mcmahon.... Is she loud with brown curly hair??

Mrsmcj- mmm, have to say your budget is pretty tricky ... but if you are flexible on dates then you may be able to find something. Sorry- not very optimistic... flights are often £400 each on their own if you want to go far away. I don't know about package deals, they might have some offers. (I worked in a posh travel agents BTW!! Once did a honeymoon to Zambia/ botswana and Mauritius which ended up at about £14,000. That was a good one!)

Are you planning on going soon? I guess you might not want to go anywhere you need jabs or malaria tablets...

greedyforbabies · 12/04/2007 14:01

WOW! imagine having £14k to spend on a holiday? how rich are some people???

spooky you know another McTimoney chooster! have you ever had treatment? its very relaxing isn't it? (unless i am in a bad mood, then its not so relaxing!)

bodders - yes i am doing 2006-2007 tax return, should really have done it last month so i could quickly buy lots of stuff for my clinic and cut down on my taxes! that is always my plan but never happens! i just thought i would be super organised anyway! and then i can laugh at dh when he is frantically doing his at the last minute! i hate having stuff hanging over me!

honeyapple- dont ask chooster when she told everyone about being pg! it took her so long to tell her work collegues that i expect she is still waiting to tell some people! probably hasn't even told her dh yet!
i keep telling people when i see them, mainly to make myself feel better.............kind of goes " no i haven't eaten too many easter eggs, i am pg!" i feel like EVERYONE is looking at me thinking how lardy i am looking!
