greedyforbabies · 09/04/2007 21:51

Bodkin · 10/04/2007 09:51

Greedy - that sounds really grim for you - lots of sympathy wafting your way from me. Hope it passes soon for you.

Chooster - hope DS is on the mend.

Honeyapple - are you recovering yet or still in the depths of illness?

Hi everyone else. Had a great Easter weekend with all the rellies staying. now feel all flat and deflated as its grey and just me and DD mooching about the house, and about 150 loads of washing to do...

Ouch Firsty! That sounds nasty! Not suffering too much in that department, but am definitely with you on the tiredness thing... Not helped by the occasional bout of insomnia and the beginning of a fervent nesting urge! Feel like everything is in disarray (it probably isn't). Thank gawd we can come here for a moan. In fact, lets call this "Moaning Tuesday" - bring all your woes to the table and lets have a good old gripe!

1)Knackered
2)Look shite
3)Panicking about how I will cope (again...)
4)Feel like DD is going to really suffer when LO arrives
5)House is a state
6)Still got loads of work on and not enough time to do it
7)umm, that's it. Not too bad really. Bet you can all do much better

MrsMcJnr · 10/04/2007 11:18

Morning all cd1 for me and it?s almost a relief after those 40 odd days! Hope that this cycle will be more normal.

Honeyapple ? sorry to hear you are still not better! Overcast here today but hopefully it?ll burn off Hope the nuchal goes well tonight ? will be lovely to see your baby!

Hello Firststar thanks for your thoughts for me. Hope you are taking good care of yourself

Oh dear Greedy did you have MS this badly before with either of the other 2? Hope it gets better soon. I?m ok really, think I?ve needed the time to drink and eat things I shouldn?t and just generally get over the loss. Will be disappointed if I don?t get a BFP this cycle though!

Hi Bodkin ? cheer up hon, the sun will be back soon!

Hey Chooster ? hope things are better with DS.

Hello Kitkat, Babymad, Fettle

MS much better today so far! maybe this is the beginning of the end! or maybe it was MIL sickness and nothing to do with being pg!!!

glad to hear you so positive mrs. january babies are great anyway, so thats what you want! (my dd was born in jan!) i did have bad ms with her too, but not really with ds. another reason to convince me i am having a girl!

bodders, your list doesn't sound too bad at all...........

1)Knackered.........yes, but not compared to how knackered you will be when no. 2 arrives!!!!!

2)Look shite..........yes, but not as shite as you will look when no. 2 arrives!!!!

3)Panicking about how I will cope (again...) ........yes, but not as much as you will panic when no. 2 is HERE!!!!!

4)Feel like DD is going to really suffer when LO arrives..........this one is just daft, so i can't think of anything nasty to type! just think of how much DD will GAIN from having a sibling! they soon adjust, and then they LOVE it!

5)House is a state.......yes, but not as much of a state as it will be when no. 2 is here!

6)Still got loads of work on and not enough time to do it............HHHHhhhmmmm, not sure what to say on this one!..........at least you dont have to deal with horrible sweaty patients all day like i do today! (one in particular is a monster sweater!)

there you go bodders............did i make you feel better!?

honeyapple · 10/04/2007 14:56

Hiya,

Well I carted myself of to the GP again this morning, saw a very nice man who was very sympathetic and gave me 5 days of penicillin (sp??). Said I def had some infection in my chest. So far have only taken 1 tablet but already seem to be coughing less.

DP has just rang to say his little sister is 6 wks PG with her first baby!!! SO all very exciting. Will be lovely for this LO to have a cousin so near in age. Must give her a ring and have a chat!

DD just fallen asleep on sofa after having a total meltdown tantrum about wearing her mermaid dress to the shops.... (DP went out without her in the end) Oh, and he also rang to say he's bought some massive blooming tv...

Have my scan at 6pm.... going to drop DS and DD at sisters first. All a bit weird, apprehensive and excited at same time.

Lots of love to all,

xx

MrsMcJnr · 10/04/2007 15:02

Crossed with you last time Bodkin ? sorry! ?Moaning Tuesday? fabulous! Can it be a weekly event? I can empathise with 1, 2, & 6 on your list.

Firsty ? I?m fed up with my weight too and I have no excuse. I?ll try to remember to relax too

Greedy ? that?s good about the MS

Good luck for later Honeyapple, and hope that penicillin starts to kick in for you soon! Great news about your SIL.

Greedy - thanks for your responses to my moans - the thing is, I know it is all going to get much, much worse (hence No.3), but just having a good moan, is as Firsty says, very therapeutic. As a result, I got off my fat arse and have achieved loads today, so feel much better. And I know they are not major moans, but when they are going round your head all the time they get bigger and bigger, and just writing stuff down seems to clear it out a bit. Anyway, am glad to hear your MS is waning a bit - being able to tolerate sweet things (and a Creme Egg is the sweetest substance known to mankind) is a major breakthrough! Plus all that driving is enough to make anyone nauseous - must be lovley to be out of the car As for your sweaty patients...

MrsMc - forgot to say earlier congrats on being on CD1. I know you probably don't feel like celebrating, but at least you can be back to a place where you are more certain of what is going on in your body. And as Chooster says, even if you are not holding your LO in your arms this year, hopefully you will be feeling fat and knackered like the rest of us in the not too distant future

greedyforbabies · 10/04/2007 19:27

bodders - you moan all you want, i agree its good to moan! i feel like my dh gets to hear all my moaning and i feel a bit sorry for him so its good to moan on here to people who understand. i didn't mean to belittle your moans! ...........and anyway..............things wont get much worse........they will get MUCH better........you will have a lovely ickle baby as well as a lovely dd and dp! things might get more hectic for a while, but it will be fun!

Bodkin · 10/04/2007 19:50

Cheers luv - it'll all be fine in the end. Definitely pesky hormones sending me all over the shop. I am looking forward to meeting baby bodders, honestly!

honeyapple · 10/04/2007 20:14

Evening,

Just a quick post to say that scan was great, all perfect and where it should be, DS risk v low, and all cool!
Very weird experience... you'd think i'd be getting used to it by now! But still seemed SO strange to see this tiny being on the screen.

Chooster · 10/04/2007 20:24

hey - can i just sneak in with some last minute moans for a tuesday?

  1. Feel fat not pregnant at the moment. I think junior chooster has shifted round a bit and my bump doesn't feel quite so hard, just wobbly
  1. The hand, foot and mouth has gone but now DS has a sinus infection - yuk! So onto the anti-biotics. Had another day off work today and feel really behind.
  1. Water retention has most definately arrived! My legs are kind of spongy and sometimes I get that nice attractive indentation round my ankle where my socks have been.
  1. Tiredness! Yes, Firsty, I'm with you on that one. On the way back from the shops DS fell asleep today in the car. The sun was pouring into the car as I sat in my drive wondering whether I should do some work, clean our really messy house, put some washing on...... Zzzzzzzzz I woke up 45 mins later and DS was still snoozing in the backseat.

Anyway, phew.... Thats better! Really really hope your MS is on the way out Greedy. It really pisses you off after a while doesn't it. Mine went at about 14 / 15wks so hopefully yours is almost over. Oh, you are SO having a girl....

Honeyapple - Hope the scan went well - and great you are on some decent medication now.

Bodders - It really is good to have a moan and like you say you've done loads and probably feel heaps better. I too worry how DS will take to the baby being here but, Greedy is so right that we must think of everything they will gain from having a sibling.

MrsMc - Good luck for this cycle!!! CD1 is a good thing - kind of like a clean slate again. Really really good luck!!!!

Hi to everyone else - hope you are all doing well.... Anyway, am off to phone my mum and see if I can drop enough hints that she will offer to buy me the Amby baby nest / hammock thing I've seen advertised. It looks fab and the people I know who have tried it really recommend it. Anyone on here used one?

Bodkin · 10/04/2007 20:30

That's great news Honeyapple

Chooster - your poor DS is really going through it! I like your style with the nap in the car - I do it all the time! In fact, yesterday, both me and DP pulled over for a crafty nap when DD fell asleep in the car....

I did see a thread about that hammock thing a while back. Is it the very expensive minimalist looking thing? Try doing a mumsnet search to find the thread on it.

Chooster · 10/04/2007 20:56

Found the thread Bodders thanks! It does sound pretty good. Yes, it that basic looking hammock type thing. A friend said it was fantastic and that they really hold their value so you can sell on e-bay for about £100 when done using it. Its worth a go I reckon... Mind you I am a little paranoid about the thought of not getting much sleep and having to entertain DS during the day instead of taking naps. So I keep looking at those baby magazine articles "Top 10 sleep-inducing things" "Sleep problems solved from tonight" - etc... Poor little junior, I've already branded him a bad sleeper and he isn't even here yet.

Great news on the scan Honeyapple! Very pleased for you

Hey Chooster ? sorry about poor little DS! I can?t stay awake in cars unless I?m driving ? which is just as well!

Better not say much today or I?ll make it a moaning Weds too feel so fat and frumpy, I?m meant to be losing weight and I?d put on 2 ¼ this week!

Glad you had a good sleep Firsty

mrs! have you ever been to slimming world? they call the week that you are blobbing 'star' week and practically encourage you to gain weight that week! it is only to be expected if you have af and you know that really don't you!? you should always count your weight loss over a month not week to week..........you know that too dont you!? i bet it will come dropping off next week as long as you don't blow it cos you are pissed off! so be good, and stick with it!

chooster - you were right when you said i was right about something.................you will all gradually learn that i am ALWAYS right!!!!! it has taken dh a while, but he has finally realised it! (if i am not right, i will never admit it by the way!!)

no proper gagging or wretching today, just a few nauseous moments! yippee! i am so excited! on my own tonight cos dh is away on business, AGAIN! so i will be knackered by the end of the day...........got a busy afternoon planned decorating plant pots, making a birthday card and going to pets corner!

just had to let you all know how sad i am.........there is a MNer on the due in oct thread who is due the day before me and will be giving birth in the same hospital as me! i got so excited when i realised i might actually meet another MNer! how sad am i ?

greedyforbabies · 11/04/2007 13:13

fantastic news by the way honeyapple! i dont think you ever get over how amazing the scans are, do you?
