Sorry to hear about yet another non-believing medical person Greedy surely they can go by your scan measurements instead?

Firststar ? that must all be so worrying for you hon take good care of yourself

Lissie ? so delighted to see this, every time I see news of your BFP I smile I really hope that this is a strong, sticky one!

Babymad ? glad you had a good appointment! Fabulous news about a HB! Go Girl!

Away on business tonight and will be in meetings all day tomorrow so it?ll be Friday before we speak again take care all!

greedyforbabies · 04/04/2007 17:09

mrs - they are going by my scan measurements which at my 12 wk scan put me forward a few days. its only a few days different so doesn't make any difference unless i need to be induced in which case i would dispute it then! you can only be induced if you are willing!

firsty - what heart condition do you have then if you dont mind me asking? is it a congenital thing?

greedyforbabies · 04/04/2007 17:12

babymad - i said no to a homebirth today! i wanted one so much last time and i would love one this time too really, but i reckon we will still be in the middle of an extension when i give birth so i opted for hospital instead. i don't think pethidine should be a problem! i had some at home last time just in case (sitting on the kitchen work surface, next to my placenta bucket!) but then i had to return it to the pharmacy afterwards when i ended up going into hospital

honeyapple · 05/04/2007 11:08

Hiya,

Well I decided to stay another day at me ma and pas as still feeling rotten.
TMI warning!!!!!
Coughing up LOADS of green/bloody gunge from my chest yesterday...seriously GROSS. GP on monday said my chest was clear??? I dunno. Feeling a biit better today, coughing less gunge up... but seriously stressing that all this coughing aint really great for LO. Scan on Tuesday... so keeping fingers crossed all ok.

Hi Lissielou and Ambi- Great news! About time we had some new BFPs from the TTC boards... was all going rather quiet.

Greedy- will you stick with the october ante-natal thread?

BTW- I am not really so scary honestly! I just can't stop myself sometimes!! It's not just crap parents I have a go at either! Rude people in restaurants, bad service in shops, litter droppers, spitters, sulky teenagers... YUP maybe I am a nutter....

KitKat30 · 05/04/2007 12:11

Hello! Huge apologies - I've been rubbish at posting!!! Have been manically busy at work and just haven't had a chance. I hope you're all well???

This is just a really quick hello to wish everyone a very happy easter (and to let you know that I havent fallen off the face of the earth!). I'm away for the next week or so, but I promise to catch up properly with all you lovely ladies when I get back!!

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine!!!

Congrats Ambi and Lissie-Lou

PhlegmyApple - that sounds horrendous! Mind, you, I have been hawking up revolting yuk for a while now - think I might be having minor nosebleeds in the night that collect at the back of my throat ....mmmmmmm.... attractive...

Bodkin · 05/04/2007 19:51

Firsty - gosh sounds like you really have a lot on your plate, but at the end of the day, whichever way you give birth, you will be holding your little-one at last. I'm struggling to get footwear on too - can't wait until it's warm enough for flip-flops

honeyapple · 05/04/2007 20:07

Ooooh!!! Flipflops! It was almost warm enough today... except I was inside being phlegmy....

Now being BAD MUM. Cant be bothered to put DC to bed, so going to wait until they fall asleep on sofa or go to bed of their own accord. Have managed to get DD into pyjamas so not all bad.

Firststar- I am sure that docs will know what is best for you and baby.

Did anyone read Katherine Bennett in G2 today? She was moaning about middle class women wanting homebirths! Didnt sound like she had any experience of her own in the matter. Almost feel cross enough to right in....

Bodkin · 05/04/2007 20:24

No, missed that one - will see if it is on-line later.

Forgot to mention that my DD has been utterly fantastic while we have had my fried staying - she has not hit once! and has even been quite happy to share her toys (on the whole). So have promised her a treat (playmobil related, naturally) to say well done. Thanks for all the support by the way, it really helped me. Feel loads better about things now

Bodkin · 05/04/2007 20:25

Um, that should be friend not fried

Chooster · 05/04/2007 20:28

Hope you've all been enjoying the sunshine! It really makes me think that summer is on the way Hope you've all got good weekends planned.

I popped to the shop yesterday to get some food and I told my first white lie about due date. I was stretching my back a bit at the till as I'd been carrying DS for a little while and the lady said "Oh not long now eh? Must be soon?". I just didn't have the heart to say "another 15 weeks". So I agreed it wasn't long and scuttled out Oh dear...

Chooster · 05/04/2007 20:34

Hey Bodkin thats great that your DD has been well behaved with your friends kids. Hopefully she's turned the corner with it now, especially once she gets her hands on her new playmobil toy!

Firsty - Sorry to hear you are struggling a bit at the moment. I hope it doesn't get any worse for you as the pregnancy develops? At least if you end up knowing you are going for a C section you can prepare for it - its holding the baby at the end that is the real prize

Doesn;t sound like you are being a bad mum Honeyapple - just one that needs to look after herself! Hopefully they may lie in a wee bit longer tommorrow? Really hope this thing goes - it must feel like you've had it for ages!

Bodkin · 05/04/2007 22:14

Well, 15 weeks is quite soon!

Honeyapple - just read that article. Steam is still coming out of my ears.... could she stereotype any more?!

Hi,

Well still coughing today- getting thoroughly fed up with it. Got sore tummy muscles from all the coughing, poor old LO hanging on in there...I hope.

Firststar- G2 is the supplement in the Guardian newspaper.

Chooster- dont blame you about your slight bending of the truth. Actually I'm surprised people don't tell fibs more often to nosey strangers... like "yeah, I'm actually having quads so that's why I am the size of a house and they arent due for another 10 yrs...."
My DS has a slightly unusual name and I got so BORED of old ladies in particular on the bus asking his name and then looking at me strangely that I just used to say he was called Bob.

Happy Easter ladies I hope you are all doing well and that you are feeling better Honeyapple.

I don't think I'll be graduating this cycle my temp did a nose dive today and I have some spotting. Oh well! Maybe it's a good thing and my body needed the time. Hopefully next cycle. It's hard to get my head round the fact that I won't have a baby in 2007 though .

Chooster · 08/04/2007 18:44

Hi everyone - Happy Easter!

Hope you are feeling better Honeyapple... Its time that illness headed out isn't it!

Sorry about the spotting MrsMc, but the good thing is your body is getting back in sync. We'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for you . Even if you may not be holding your baby in your arms this year, am sure you'll be carrying him/her in your tummy!

Hope everyone else is doing well... We are fine although DS seems to be hovering between being well and then poorly again. His tonsils are big and pussy so it may be back to the doctor on tuesday

MrsMcEasterBunny · 08/04/2007 18:57

Thanks Chooster - that's a nice thought! Sorry to hear DS is still unwell so, be honest, how many creme eggs today?

honeyapple · 09/04/2007 09:26

Morning!

Had a lovely day yesterday- wasnt the weather glorious! But still sound like darth vadar and hacking away .

Mrsmcj- sorry to hear about the spotting, but as you say maybe it is best for your body to sort itself out for a little while, and I definitely echo what Chooster said.

I have my nuchal scan tommorrow! Not till 6pm though. Getting quite excited now.

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter Monday.
BTW NO creme eggs for me- YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!!

hope you are all ok! did i mention i feel like CRAP?
its only morning sickness, but it is REALLY doing my head in!
i had a full body massage on thur eve (which should have been bliss, yes?), but i started feeling a bit sick half way through. i thought if i keep still i will be ok and i really didn't want to miss out on my massage, but by the time it was over i had to rush straight to the toilet and puke up! lovely! i just couldn't get rid of the sick feeling after that. i hardly slept at all thur night cos i thought i was going to puke all the time. and then on fri we were driving up to anglesey to see the in-laws. well..............it took us SLIGHTLY longer than our normal 5 hours to get there cos we had to keep stopping for me to puke all the time! then i couldn't eat any of the lovely food that my MIL had prepared and i ended up leaving the table to get myself a jacket potato, and that was all i ate all weekend. we have been travelling home SLOWLY today! took about 9 hours! i think dh is fed up with me and i am fed up with him for being fed up with me and i am fed up with feeling like this!!!!!!! so come on girlies...............when did your MS stop? please tell me 15 weeks! i can't cope with too much more!

greedyforbabies · 09/04/2007 21:47

ok.............i realise i am being a drama queen! (aren't i always!?) but its just so horrible to feel like this all the time and mine has been really bad the last 2 weeks or so. i said to my dh today that i feel like i am just trying to make it through each day at the moment until i get to a stage when it stops.

soryy, for being me me me again

honeyapple - i now you are feeling poo too, so i hope your cold goes soon.

bodders - glad dd was a good girl! isn't it lovely when they are good and you feel all proud? my dd has been a nightmare this weekend, a proper little madam and i haven't felt like dealing with her at all........so i have just spent lots of time tutting at dhs attempts to discipline her! (obviously he doesn't do it properly like i would!!!)

shame i missed the lovely weather! it was sunny in wales, but not hot!

firsty - when do you find out about your delivery then? or are they going to wait and see how you get on with being more heavily pg?

hiya kitkat!

choosterchops - can't rem what you posted! sorry!

mrs - hope you aren't feeling too disappointed. just think.......you get to enjoy another month of red wine! and like you said, its probably best to have a bit of a break for your body, emotionally and physically. (unless you are called fettle of course)

fettle - hope you are having fun
