Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hiya,

I'm over at my ma and pa's getting some TLC and theyve taken the kids out while I had a bath. Great to be away from the bathroom horror at my house. (ie NO bathroom).

Thanks for everyone's well wishes, I managed to have an ok night last night, propped up on about 5 pillows so I could breathe. Lovely to be at parents house where I dont have to do anything!

Greedy- sorry to hear DD ill again, sucks doesnt it.

Bodkin- my DD bit and pulled hair until she was 3- mainly just her big bro and little cousin- it's a boy thing I think with her! Fortunatley she didnt bite her friends- but she has stopped now.

I frequently tell other people's kids off! Can't stand bad parenting!! ie parents that just go, pathetic voice... "noooo, dear... dont do that, it's not niceeee...." GRRRRR!!
One day I am probably going to get beaten up by the parent!
Once I was in a park on a lovely summer day, there was this outdoor paddling pool... anyway this little sh*t of a boy came over and threw water on me, so I grabbed his arm and marched him around the park screaming "WHO'S CHILD IS THIS!!!!" only to discover it was some right scary looking bint who just snarled at me....
I do it at toddler groups all the time!

I love the name Flora, but there is that old saying....spreads easily... sorry bodders!

MrsMcEasterBunny · 03/04/2007 15:21

We have now got lovely sunshine thank you PinkButterfly everyone was out picnicking on the grass and I saw lots of bumps and newborns at lunchtime, I confess to being a little . Enjoy the shopping Hope you get all finished in the house soon too.

Greedy ? you must be shattered, hope DD gets better soon (nearly wrote DD1 ? was that a premonition ?) Hope booking in goes well tomorrow PMSL at your DS?s comments! When is the extension starting?

Fettleandminifettle ? another Olivio family here Hope DD is ok now poor thing. Sorry the Consultant?s appointment was so frustrating. I imagine it must be a worry when they move your date and you know fine well it?s wrong. They do say the early scans are the most accurate for sizing (a point I choose to ignore when I was having mine!) How lovely seeing DD?s reaction to the heartbeat Have a lovely holiday and wipe away the bad memories there with fresh, happy ones! Maybe I?ll be pg when you get back?..you are away for 6 weeks aren?t you?

Bodkin · 03/04/2007 15:40

You're going for 6 weeks Fettle? Lucky you! Sounds like your appointment was a bit of a trial, nobody listening to you at all... Grrrr! Great that you heard a good strong heartbeat though. Sorry you missed out on my prize!!! A bit alarmed you were thinking of me in the shower though.... DDs problem usually stems from a combination of tiredness and frustration. I try and avoid arranging playdates in the afternoons for her, unless I have taken her for a drive in the car for a quick nap. Sometimes it is unavoidable though. My friend and her 2 kids are coming this afternoon to stay for a couple of nights. Really looking forward to seeing my mate, but DD is looking decidedly tired, so have pre-warned her that if there is any trouble she will go straight to her room to play on her own...

Honeyapple - you sound like you are not to be messed with! And "spreads easily"? Never heard that one before

Greedy - better get wafting....

fettleandminifettle · 03/04/2007 15:49

I wish I was going for 6 weeks - although I doubt the snow will last for another 6 weeks - Mum says it is really warm over there today. Not that I'll be doing any skiing, so sun is good for me and my pale face!

No, only going for a week! Maybe I won't bother coming back though, as it will time for my 20 week scan if I stay over there for 6 weeks!!

Wasn't really thinking of you in the shower, Bodkin, just having random thoughts about everything all the time - starting to not sleep for thinking now - although when I was asleep last night, I had a rather nice dream!!!

Hope you have a nice time with your friend - I'm sure she'll understand if anything does happen - she's a parent after all. i'm sure her children do things that your darling DD doesn't. My DD for example might not bite, but she can tantrum for an oscar at the moment - not quite sure how to handle it. All due to tiredness and expressing independence, but still emotional!!.

take care

sorry the 6 week thing was a joke

fettleandminifettle · 03/04/2007 16:46

I knew that MrsEaster!!!

Just with your premonition for Greedy and DD2,maybe you are right and I'll just stay out there for 6 weeks!!!

xxx

greedyforbabies · 03/04/2007 16:53

of course it was a joke lola! who really goes away for 6 weeks! how dense is old bodders hey???!!!

mrs - i think you nearly typing dd1 was a premonition! i HAVE to be having a girl if the whole boy/girl sperm theory holds true.

honeyapple - i knew you were a bit scarey! my pet hate is when parents say "if you do that again i will take it off you/ take you home etc" and then 2 seconds later say "if you do that again i will take it off you/ take you home etc" and NEVER follow through! i make sure i ALWAYS follow through my threats (so i am careful what i say in the first place!) at least my kids KNOW i mean it when i say something! (i sound so evil don't i?)

bodders - i agree with fettle, all kids have their things that they do! my ds doesn't hit or bite but he farts for england! and my god do they stink!!! (can't think where he gets it from!)

honeyapple - i liked your 'spreads easily' comment! made me chuckle! guess you've heard it before a few times then bodders??

i brought an apple, satsuma and banana with me this afternoon to work to keep me going till i finish at 9pm. just eaten them all...............and then went to the shop and got 3 choc bars for £1! so much for being healthy! i only have a double decker left1

Chooster · 03/04/2007 20:32

You've all been busy!!! It ended up a lovely day didn't it MrsMcEaster? I got home at 2.30 to look after DS as DH had to go to work and it was really hot in the little sheltered bit outside my house Got the day off tomorrow to be with DS so hoping for another sunny one. He's doing a bit better now thanks Mrs, although still no nursery. I think he's chancing his luck a wee bit as he still insists the only thing he can eat is cake and yogurt He's still spotty though so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt til Thursday.

I am so with you Greedy on people threatening to do things and not following it through. I used to do til I came to my senses after saying to DS "do that one more time and you'll go to your bed". It was at 4pm and DS seemed pretty happy about it as he was knackered

The incident with my friend and the seatbelt was almost a year ago so I reckon if she's not over it by now, she probably wont be... Its not like I even shouted at him really, but I dont regret it. Maybe in hindsight she just didn't like me

Sorry to those with poorly kids too! Hope they get better...

So, your a Flora Bodders - FAB name - I love it.

Greedy - I reckon you've got to be having a girl, didn't that sperm hang around for the egg for about a week? Hopefully your DD will be born with the same patience

fettleandminifettle · 03/04/2007 22:08

Glad little Chooster is getting better - doesn't sound great hand, foot mouth or whatever it is called! hope he's back in fighting form very soon.

Have a Happy Easter everyone- going to miss you, but i'll find a way of checking in at some point over the next week.

Decided to lurk as posting on here tempts fate, got a feint BFP this morning but still shocked. Gonna digital tomorrow morning and I may be back.

MrsMcEasterBunny · 04/04/2007 12:54

Morning Graduates ? feel like I have re-sits or have been kept back a year you know not being able to be in your gang!

Greedy ? very true about the sperm theory, we have a perfect guinea pig in our midst with regard to your snack consumption ? here is the difference between you and me, if I brought in an apple, satsuma and banana they?d still be on my desk and all 3 chocolate bars would have been eaten

Hello Chooster ? are you still disease free? Glad to hear your sweet little DS is doing better Today is another gorgeous day isn?t it? fancy a lunchtime picnic soon?

Fettleandminifettle ? have a great time!

Ambi ? posting on THIS thread doesn?t tempt fate this is a very lucky thread and if I lurk with my former TTC buddies, I have to get a brand new sparkling BFP soon! Ambi?s about to graduate from the April thread we hope ladies!

greedyforbabies · 04/04/2007 13:53

lola - i ate the fruit and the choc bars though! do you think the fruit cancels out the choc? i9 am sure it does!

had my booking in appt today and the midwife (not my normal lovely one!) didn't seem to believe that i KNOW when i ov'd and concieved! she said cos my cycles are so long they cant work out my due date by my lmp! as if i didnt know that!!! she said my cycles are too unreliable and temping is too unreliable(!) so she would put my edd by my scan. which is 30th sept! i dont care really. seems a bit scarey cos its sept and not oct but only 4 days earlier than i thought! i am just annoyed she didn't seem to believe me!

lissielouwithbunnyears · 04/04/2007 13:56

Had an MW app today which was fab had a laugh with MW, told her that she wasn't to wake LO up as s/he is so active, we got to hear the HB which was good and strong, told her a would very much like a home birth, she put that down for me, got to go and speak to a doctor about letting me have pethidine and make sure placenta has moved then that's it, home birth booked, I keep having nightmares on having LO on the kitchen floor so if I have a HB planed at least I'll have everything there if I do have LO at home, I'll be 38 weeks (had DC both at 39 weeks)when DC break up for 6 weeks holiday, so on my own, 2 DC, kitchen floor !

lissielouwithbunnyears · 04/04/2007 15:32
